Great for my 5yr old

This was exactly what I was looking for. My 5 and 3 yr old loves dressing themself but could not reach their cloths so this is the perfect solution. I like that it was all metal and there were no straps or ropes he could get tangled in. Seems durable and held a lot of cloths. I saw others that were adjustable and that would have been nice but this seems sturdy. Would recommend.

Great choice for a kid's closet!

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter's closet and it's perfect! It does move around a bit because it is hanging, after all, but we have those white wire closets racks and they do a good job of keeping it from sliding around and swinging more than it probably would on just a regular closet rod. We actually like it so much I just ordered another for my husband's side of our closet. He tested his clothes (size L) in her closet and clothes hung above the extender rub a little but don't reach the ground on the bottom.

Heads Up on Assembly (Use Palm!)

Just finished putting everything up and it looks great. I don’t intend on using this to hang heavy clothing so I think it’s perfect for me. It does swing a bit at first and one of the hooks actually fell off so I ended up installing the hooks opposite of each other (one facing me and other facing the wall). I’ve read a lot of reviews on how difficult it was to take off the black bit on both sides of the rod and slide the hooks in and for the life of me, I couldn’t remove it either. I didn’t want to run and get a tool to help ply it off so I actually got the hooks through by just pushing on them with my palm and a decent amount of force while resting the rod on the floor. That solved my problem easily enough! (1. Second Pic: I got the hook into an angle—half on, half off 2. used the meat of my palm along with my body weight to force it down while making sure I’m holding onto the entire hook and keeping it straight. Tip: use your legs 3. Third Pic: hook should look almost fully installed as the hook and black bit are flat. Now I wiggled the hook until it got through 4. Fourth Pic: Now you’re done! Do the other side and double check the hook is facing the direction you want it BEFORE you push down!)

These are so Great!

Amazing. The rubber tips were snug, but that’s to keep them from sliding off, since they’re responsible for keeping the side hanging poles/hangers from sliding off! And they protect the other clothes & made it easy to hang 2, side-by-side, without the metal grinding on the other. I used needle nose pliers, just beneath the tips, to sort-of slide and wiggle them off at same time & it took 2 minutes to do 4 of them and caused zero damage. They went right back in, and fit great! Hangers are sturdy, hold weight well, hang nicely, and are perfect height & width to make them easily customizable. Hang at exactly half the height of my closet (in the middle). Just a good buy all-around.

Great for apartment closets!

This is a great item. I purchased two after moving into a new apartment with only one closet rod and limited storage space. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of putting in a second rod, nor did I want to drill holes into the wall of a rented apartment. These are perfect! Two filled out the length of my normal-sized closet perfectly. I don't think this is worth subtracting an entire star, but the little black end caps were IMPOSSIBLE to get off free-hand. I had to use pliers to grab them and pull them off, which chewed up the rubber a little bit. I don't care how mine look because they're inside a closet, but if yours will be out in the open this might be bothersome.

Great for kids to reach!

Bought this to put in our daughter's room in our newly built home. The builders placed her closet rod pretty high for her, and she's only 7. I'm big on providing independence to our kiddos and thought this closet rod would allow her to easily find clothes and dress herself in the morning while also being able to help hang her clothes to assist with laundry. Well, this has definitely fit that bill and more! She can hang her own items and pick her clothes our with ease. It is the perfect height and not once in over a year and a half has it fallen or looked like it might. It is sturdy, but I would encourage all parents to remind their kiddos that it isn't a gymnastics rod.

Will not disappoint!

As a mama of an independent 4 year old she was always so bummed that she couldn't get herself ready in the morning because she couldn't reach her shirts, even with a step stool. Instead of installing a second clothes rod I decided to buy these bad boys. Soooooo glad I did!!!! These are amazing!!!! Super easy to put together and hang up, it took maybe 5 minutes to do. My daughters face when she came upstairs to see her new closet set up was priceless. I was even able to put her dresses within her reach too including her play dress up dresses. I have one happy little girl and I'm about to buy a couple more now for my sons room. Thank you so much for all the reviews, it made this purchase easy and worth it!!! On a side note my kids have way more clothes than I do 🙄

Easy Peasy

Love this product thus far. Goes around existing closet rod readily. Cannot see any breakable parts, unlike my previous hanging closet rod, which was chrome painted PLASTIC and broke off at the spot where the rod joins the vertical hangers. Unlike previous reviews, one rod cap was easy to remove, even without pliers. I just inched one end off with my fingers and slid the rod through the round holes. I wish the rod were a little longer. It is only 30 inches lon. A 42 inch rod would have been better. Whitmoor, do you make the same diameter rod that is 42 inch long?

Great Sturdy Closet Enhancer/Extender

This is a very nice item, incredibly sturdy and it really works. I have a section of my closet with just a high rack for dresses but needed to make more room for my husband's tops so I moved my dresses down to the end and hung this pole to move some of my shirts. It's much wider than I had thought it would be and much heavier. I had looked at items like this at Lowe's and Home Depot but just couldn't pay the prices so when I found it here I really figured it would be much lighter for the price but it's just as nice and possibly even better than what was in the stores for three times the price. It's great too that this can be moved just by taking it off the pole it's hanging on. We have a closet system made of the vinyl coated white metal that's so popular but the hanging hooks on this item would fit over the usual closet pole as well. It was ready to use right out of the package and is adjustable.

Exactly what I needed!

This product is one of my favorite recent purchases! I live in a smaller apartment and closet space is at a premium. I also wanted to organize my work wardrobe so that it's easy to choose an outfit. Now I have all dresses to the right, this piece with shirts/pants in the middle, and still have space for hanging shoe storage on the left. Every time I open my small clothes closet I am very satisfied with how neat and organized it is and how easy it is to see and choose outfits. Not only that, but it was very easy to assemble if you exclude my little kitten "helper" who thought the bars waving around in the air were for her amusement. This is an excellent and budget friendly solution that I would highly recommend to anyone considering it.
