I own three of these scales... I initially bought one in a tool store locally and they discontinued it. I bought two more on Amazon. Why three? I use them to weight my aircraft (for weight and balance determination). At my weight (approx 190 lbs), two of the three are showing exactly the same weight and the third one is 0.4 lbs appart.. this is about 0.25% difference... to me, this is very good for a cheap scale like this one (assuming their calibration is good). The stainless is pretty thin on those ones and to keep them shiny, it needs attention; like anything made of stainless.

I love this one
I needed this as a seller. My boxes were very heavy and quite large. I had been using a bathroom scale, which was not accurate. I had shopped on line and most were either to small or very expensive. I love this one. easy to put away and very accurate. I just put it on a tile floor and place the box on it and it give accurate weight. I highly recommend this for those of us who need a scale that is not expensive, can handle boxes less then 100 lbs but is portable enough to stick on a shelf. Thank you for having this available. It has been an excellent scale for me.

GOOD SCALE
I have owned this scale for over two years. It has weighed everything very accurately so far. I weigh my packages before I take them to the post office to estimate parcel post shipping costs. My son weighs his bags every time he flies (which is many times per year). So far the weight shown on the scale is always correct compared to the post office scales and the airline scales. The only thing I have a problem with is it will not weigh anything accurately or AT ALL that is under about four or five ounces. I get a blip and then I get a 00.00 reading for the weight. I wish it would weigh light items as well as it weighs heavy items.

Absolutely NEED it if you run any sort of online business
Love this shipping scaled Absolutely NEED it if you run any sort of online business and need to know how much things weigh. I will note that it does not read items under a certain amount of weight if its too light. Ex: I put a package that was .60 oz (just shy of 1lb) and that is the lowest ive been able to measure

Far superior to any bathroom scale.
Although this is a shipping scale, I use it as a bodyweight scale. After my previous two relatively expensive bathroom scales would give me readouts that differed by a pound or more within 10 seconds of each other, I had this scale recommended to me. I'm extremely happy with this scale, which is far more accurate (down to the 0.05 lb. and fluctuates no more than .15 lbs while standing on it), plugs in so there's no need to keep changing batteries, is about the same size as a bathroom scale, and most importantly, is RELIABLE. This reliability has helped motivate me to lose more weight since I can now accurately see the change from one day to the next (I use Libra for Android to track my weight and give me a trend line). All this for less than I paid for supposedly high-end bathroom scales that weren't worth the box they came in. Ditch your bathroom scale, buy this one, and you'll soon be telling your friends to do the same.

Easy to work with
We raise and sell pecans in Texas. We needed an accurate scale that would weigh buckets, sacks, and tubs full of pecans for customers. It is not considered for trade but it close enough for what we are doing. One great feature is the tare weight and automatic zero capability. I attached the power converter to a power strip so I can turn the power on and off easily. Place the empty container on the scale and then turn on the strip and turn the unit on. It will read zero so when product is added only the product weight registers. For larger sacks of pecans, we first place an empty sack and small piece of plywood on the scale before powering on to zero and then we can weigh much larger quantities. We have tested a number of known weighted commercial products and found the readings to be consistently accurate.

To quote my boss "this is the best investment I've made in years"
For years, the shop I worked for used a bathroom scale for weighing all outgoing packages (essentially guessing the weight, as the scale was 4-5lbs off). I finally convinced my boss to buy this scale, even though he figured it would be a piece of flimsy junk, considering the price. That was back in June of 2011, and the thing is still going strong. We use it mainly to weight 25-75lb packages for UPS, but I have also used it for light 1-5lb packages. We even use it to weight large truck starters (50-70lbs) for recycling purposes. After weighing every item, it will always "tare" itself accurately back to zero, and has stayed accurate within 2 or so ounces when it comes to light weight packages. It has some scratches and shallow dents, but the metal really holds up, even when you plop a large cast iron starter right onto the bare metal surface. Every few months my boss mentions that that scale is some of the best money he's spent recently (only half joking), simply because it has held up so well over the years. This scale is a great investment and will hold up to daily use/abuse.
Pretty Swag
which means i can use it to weigh large boxes and get a pretty good view of the weight
This product was purchased to weigh items shipped thru USPS, FedEx, and UPS. The product has a separate readout gage from the scale, which means i can use it to weigh large boxes and get a pretty good view of the weight. The weight always goes resets to 0.00 lbs after I weigh something. I don't have the tools and stuff to measure the accuracy and precision, but when i go to the post office, the weights the post office come up with are dead on or very close. You can use electricity (plug into an outlet) or a battery to operate it. I always plug it in because it's cheaper form me. Pros: +Great accuracy, 0.05 pounds up to 150 lbs. +Very sturdy +Can use either battery or outlet for power +Lasts a long time on a battery +Weight gage extends away from base +Lighted display Cons: -None noted

Awesome doesn't shut off too fast!
So if anybody needs to know this remains on a good 5 minutes when on battery only. I would have preferred it to stay on until I turned it off but that's okay. there's a lot there that turn off within 60 seconds... and in a semi-constant production environment that's a big waste of time to keep turning it on and it calibrating itself for a few seconds. Another big plus is the cord! The cord goes inside both the scale and the lcd reader unit. If you've purchased those cheapo ones, they use a telephone jack to hook up the scale and the reader. Mine is already broken coz the wires on the telephone jack are stripped from the coils moving around when lifting the unit. So now the copper wires are touching each other. This unit is alot better designed. Oh and it comes with a mounting bracket for the reader! so you can mount it somewhere you can see it, and it slides out if you wanna move it. very handy!

Perfect for tracking my weight loss... and gain :(
Looked diligently for an accurate, personal scale. It's a bit of a pain to have to pick up the control each time I use it, but that could be corrected by mounting the control. We move the scale from place to place, so that's not an option for us. That makes the difficulty OUR problem and not a mark against the scale. It is very accurate, changing only in one or two tenths between stepping off and back on.
