Never buy another battery at a drugstore!

I ordered 2 packs of 5 of the Energizer CR2016 batteries from West Distribution because I have several products that use this battery - car remote, bathroom scale, watch and electronic pedometer. I paid $0.61 each for the batteries. They cost $4.28 each in a local drugstore. The order was processed immediately and was shipped the next day. I received the batteries 3 days from the day that the order was placed. There was no charge for shipping and the batteries are brand new and in the original factory sealed package. I received new original Energizer batteries as shown on the Amazon site not some off brand replacement. I installed 2 batteries in my car remote and they work great. Lithium batteries have an average 6 year shelf life. The energizer site indicates that a single use silver-zinc battery has a shelf life of 10 years. In reality using 6 years as an average is a good estimate to insure that the batteries will work when you need them. This will allow for some time to have gone by from the actual manufacture date till the time that you install the battery. So it pays to find out what type of batteries you use in some of your common devices and buy them in bulk. You can buy 7 batteries from West Distribution for the cost of 1 at a drugstore. I am placing another order today for another common battery that I use and I will never buy another battery at a drugstore.

Worked for my Toyota car remote

The car remote for my Toyota uses the CR2016 battery and these fit perfectly in the remote. These are labeled as ECR2016 which is energizer's brand name for CR2016 batteries. This is a 3V battery like all the lithium-ion batteries. These are lithium batteries (lithium is used as the cathode while Magnesium dioxide is the anode.) and have a high energy-to-weight ratio, which means they provide a lot of energy relative to their weight as compared to alkaline and silver-oxide batteries. Another characteristic that these batteries have is that they have a flat discharge curve, which means that provide near constant voltage until they discharge quickly over a short time instead of gradually discharging over a long time. So they are quite suitable for stuff like watches that need accuracy instead of gradually slowing down over a long period. WHAT IS CR2016 International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) assigns each type of battery a code, which is described in IEC 60086 document. The code for this battery is CR2016 which comprises of C,R,20,16. Each of these has a significance as follows: C - specifies that this is a Lithium-Manganese Dioxide battery R - Specifies the shape which in this case is Round. Other shapes are Flat (F), Square (S), and Not Round (P) 20 - specifies the value of diameter in millimeters. The diameter of this battery is 20mm. 16 - specifies the height of the battery in tenths of millimeters. The height of this battery is 1.6 mm. CAN THIS BATTERY REPLACE ANY LITHIUM-ION COIN BATTERY Probably not, unless it is of the same dimensions. The first important thing about this battery is the dimensions (which is 20 mm diameter and 1.6 mm height.) If the battery you are trying to replace has the same dimensions and is also a Lithium-ion battery then you may be able to replace some other battery with this one. For instance, CR2032 batteries are very similar to CR2016 other than the fact that they are 3.2 mm in height. So the car remote for which I purchased this battery did not have clearance for 3.2 mm high battery. However, if you are using a holder in DIY project like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J5FY2GI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , these can accommodate batteries of different dimensions. So you might be able to replace a battery with similar dimension. However, this is a 3V battery so don't use these to replace a battery f different voltage (e.g. SR621 which are1.5 V batteries)

Works great. Got 5 batteries for less than the price of the 2 I needed would have cost me at the local store. These were for my daughters car remote. Work great and now I have extra on hand.

These batteries are great and last a long time (in my watch - your MMV).

They fit perfectly in my Timex Expedition watch and made the little hands start moving again. Now, my last battery lasted... a decade in that watch, so these five batteries should probably last the rest of MY life. If you're under 40, you might want two packs. They are also a nice shiny silver color and will catch your eye in the junk drawer so you can find them easily - even if your eyes go bad at 70.
