I purchased this to go in my 2005 Silverado Crew cab with the 5.3 motor. I have the LTZ console so there was definitely some extra work involved removing the dash. Just as a side note, you do not have to drop the entire steering column just the brace and bracket to the right. Also the radio does not have to be removed and I think you can get away without removing the A/C control face although it is very easy to do so. This particular heater core has the swiveling tubes that go through the firewall making it much easier to install as to where you have to cut the tubes off of the original to get it out. If not, you will probably have to drop the steering column and at that point you might as well take the entire dash unit as a whole, out of the truck and bring the entire heating and cooling casing out as well. The new core has only been in for two days now but is working as advertised and boy is my ride to work a lot more comfortable! this unit fit snug and is the same capacity as the original. As for the QD fittings, you see a lot of people who have done this repair talk about, are the Dorman #800-409 and yes they will fit this core on both sides. Mine snapped right on and do not leak. The heater hoses are two different inter diameters but a simple worm clamp will secure them just fine as this is a low pressure system. If something should fail anytime soon (I will push truck off a cliff) I will update this post but so far so good!

This heater core is working great. Amazon price is about 1/2 of what they want for the identical part at the local parts stores so I am very happy with this heater core. The worst part was I had to tear my whole dash apart to replace it and also had to disconnect the AC lines going to the exchanger. After about 8 hours work, 1 gallon of antifreeze and recharge of the AC system my 2007 silverado is working great again.

This product went in easy and works likes it's supposed too. Now getting to the heater core on a 01 chevy suck balls. But this product was just fine

Works good. Seemed like good Quality as well especially for the price.. Used it on an 02 Gmc 1500 4x4.. Not an easy job by no means. Book time is all most 9hrs to change the heater core and AC and recharge the system..

Installed on my 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 and it was a perfect fit. The installation process is quite involved and you may want to consider a professional do the job. But if your are comfortable disassembling the entire dash, then go for it. This heater core worked perfectly!

Just make sure you are up for the job, or make sure you have someone that knows what they are doing. you pretty much have to remove the whole dash assembly to replace the heatercore in a silverado.

Just put it in 2000 GMC 1500 last week. The heater core looks good and seems to be as good or better than the one i took out. Greatly appreciate being able to rotate the inlet/outlet pipes. I Haven't had any leaks since installation. If anything changes, i'll update this, as this is not a quick/easy/fun repair and i wouldn't want to do it twice.

Good product good price if anyone’s thinking of tackling this job their self think twice it’s not a hard job but it’s very labor-intensive and you need to know what you’re doing but after installation it works well

Works just like the factory one and saved a ton of money. Been in for a 6 months now and no leaks or issues

Seller did an outstanding job of shipping it quickly. It is not fun to install but no more anti-freeze smell in the truck. Good product, good sellers.
