I bought two packages thinking I'd run out quickky. Nope, they last a long time, and I color an hour or more a day. Best feature is not needing to sharpen them, and by angling you can still get a fine edge and point for smaller areas. Fun! Now, Crayola, how about a 64-piece set like your crayons, hmmm?? I could use even more variety of colors that way!I

I have recently become a big fan of adult coloring books, and I really love using these twistable colored pencils for them. There are so many colors in this 30 pack that one can shade and outline easily and I also like that I never need to carry a sharpener around with me. The pencils are easy to use and I have not had issues with breakage so far. They also last a good while, even when coloring large areas. Probably not quite as long as a traditional pencil might, but they do not wear out extremely quickly. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend these to others.

Got these for my daughter who is deployed in the desert! These are being sent in a Rick and Morty care package with a Rick and Morty coloring book. These are great though because she won't need a sharpener or be worried about if the markers ink is going to dry out. Lots of different colors for a great price. I recommend getting these for anyone who loves to color but especially if you are going somewhere where you can't have "everything" you need.

These are great. I thought the points may be too thick for small areas but they work just fine on tiny areas. Great for shading, just press harder for darker areas or go over and over. Lighter touch for a lighter color. Good color selection.

I have one of those "grown up" coloring books with patterns to color for relaxation. I purchased these pencils for myself, not the kids. :p The colors are vibrant and there are a great variety of them. They are precise because they're always sharp. My kids have their own set, but they like to snap off the tips and twist them up too long, which is how they get easily broken. I love them so much, I have my own and their hidden away!

I use these to mark scriptures for scripture study. They are nice, the lead does not tear the pages of my scriptures (that onion thin paper!) and shows up nicely. 30 colors is a bit much for my purposes, but I'm sure they would be great for coloring books and the like.

I bought these for my 6th grader. He informed me that he never wanted the old wooden ones again. They don't have to be sharpened. They don't break, if you don't roll them out too far. I also got a pack of these for my 10th grade son to have something to do with his time in study hall when he didn't have anything to work on. Both kids love these. Will buy these every year from now on.

To refute all the negative reviews I must say these are great for coloring. I don't understand how anyone could be dissatisfied with these or what kind of deliberate force would be necessary to break the lead inside the barrel. One comment said they twisted the lead too far out and then it broke, leaving the assumption the lead couldn't be retracted. In fact, they can be, just twist them back if they're twisted too far out. I find these great to work with. I wish they were available with more colors, but they are very bendable. They are sort of a mix between a colored pencil and a crayon in that they have a very slight crayon-type finish. I like this because it let's you lay down a fine line of color that is not obliterated by a second color. After a little experimentation you will see the benefit. Regular pencils can't achieve this effect. These colors are also bendable if you use light strokes. Again, you can work with them to find out how to achieve numerous effects. It is also possible to create bold, vibrant colors, and there are sufficient colors to achieve beautiful shading. I have recently rediscovered the joy of coloring and find these pencils perfect for that purpose. Others have listed the colors that come in the set. In case there is still doubt, there is a vibrant red. The only color without sufficient range, in my opinion, is blue. There are only 2 shades of blue, but neither are a true blue. Both tend toward the slightest blue-green shade. They are pretty colors, but there is also no light blue. There is a pretty shade of aqua. The size of lead is durable but also small enough to make a fine line. They never need to be sharpened. I have used other brands of colored pencils as well as pastels, but this is definitely my favorite for coloring. I have several Creative Haven coloring books as well as some mandalas. These pencils are perfect for all of them.

Crayola 30 Count Twistable Colored Pencils My grandkids and I really like these twistable colored pencils. They never need sharpening, the tips don't break with a little pressure, and the clear barrel lets you see both the color and how much pencil is left. With thirty colors you have a nice selection for most coloring projects. The case they come in has a color dot above the pencil location so you can keep the colors in the same order in which they arrived. This helps with locating a specific color as like-colors are next to each other. I recommend these twistable colored pencils for kids age five to adults. This is a marvelous invention and time saver as you are not constantly looking for the pencil sharpener, wasting the colored pencil with frequent sharpening to keep a fine tip, and dumping the shavings in the trash. I will keep buying these as the pencils are used up.
