Quiet and Efficient

*Nice surprise - arrived one day AHEAD of schedule - fast delivery - compliments to seller *As another said in a review this unit runs so quiet I was wondering if it was even working! I am glad I bought a digital thermometer to monitor temperature in the unit. It cooled down fast. I had to back off on the setting control to get to my desired temperature (35 degrees) *Warning: the dimensions are larger than the listed size. I was concerned at first that it would not fit in the area I had available - however it turned out to fit fine. *Solid construction. Nice stainless steel door front. I recommend this.

Awesome product for the price

I purchased this mini freezer because I didn't really need a large one. It freezes items more coldly than my Kenmore full size freezer! I purchased this mainly to preserve vegetables that can't be canned andit takes two days to defrost a one quart bag! I have placed chicken of the woods mushrooms in it and they freeze wonderfully and stay fresh. The unit freezes quickly, doesn't seem to take much power, is very well insulated and quiet. I could not have made a better freezer purchase, the price was right and he size is perfect. The only thing to be aware of is I is not a self defrosting freezer. I have had it for about nine months and there is some frost building up which I think comes from when I am placing new items to be frozen in the unit. It looks pretty easy to defrost. I will place a puppy pad under the unit and leave the door open with a towel. Then I can wash it out with cleaner and it will be ready to freeze items within an hour. This was a great investment as all of my vegetables have stayed fresh and don't have that freezer burn or taste.

This freezer is wonderful and gets down to ~0 degrees. You can use it as either a freezer or a fridge without any worry. If anyone is curious there are coolant lines through the entire top of the unit so if you plan on drilling into it be extremely cautious and use a very small bit. There are instructions on the web to find where the cooling lines are, just make sure to measure twice and cut once!

This little freezer totally meets our needs!

We live in a small apartment, with a normal apartment sized refrigerator/freezer. It's been hot this summer and we are constantly getting in and out of the freezer part to get ice cubes. My husband is not very good at not keeping the freezer door open as he rummages around with the bag of cubes from the trays we have. Also, many times I'd open the freezer part and an ice cube tray would shoot out past me and land on the floor. I was getting frustrated. I researched and ended up buying this freezer and it has made our lives much easier (especially mine). We have it sitting on the back side of our dining room table (there's just the two of us) and it's actually attractive (considering it's a freezer) and the capacity I think is surprisingly large. His trays and ice are on the top shelf, mine on the bottom. It is extremely quiet, actually I wondered if it was working when we first plugged it in except it froze our first ice cube trays quite well and pretty fast so it's working great. I even had a couple frozen bags of some leftovers that wouldn't fit in our regular freezer and tossed them in our little EdgeStar and there's plenty of room! We love it!!!

It's exactly as promised. A mini-fridge that you can turn into a freezer by turning the dial. The dial is inside so none of that stupid controls at the back like some of the other units on the market. Has a reversible door and it's lockable. Worked great when I needed to ice an injury and I could freeze the cold packs during the 48 hours needed. Afterwords, I just turned it back to a fridge for normal use. If you are going to have a mini-fridge, why not get the option of using it as a freezer when needed?

Keeping thing cool

This little fridge does a great job maintaining the set temperature. Using it strictly as a refrigerator (not a freezer) it maintains a temperature of +/- 2 degrees F. I have only had the unit for a couple of weeks, so I can't attest to the long term durability, but it appears to be an excellent product.

amazing fridge for truckers just add power inverter and get healthy

i am an over the road truck driver and i got sick of gaining weight and eating out of truck stops eating god knows what at what sodium level i then tried the ready meals that all you do is heat up and the sodium levels for my health do not justify so i spend several day looking at and studying what other drivers have been using and there was many that used coolers but have to buy ice daily maybe several times a day i then found this fridge and just had to buy it i received it fast and it was well packaged it is small and good quality i have now had it in my truck for a couple moths and its a great little fridge i can fit a surprising amount in it i run it by using my 1500 watt inverter that is directly attached to the batteries and the company i work for does not allow idle at certain times ive had my truck off nine hours many times with just the fridge pulling juice from the batteries and my truck starts up no problems the locking feature on this fridge is amazing a simple turn of the Allen key style key and its locked or unlocked, the food i can carry now is healthier broccoli and chicken salad dressings and my breakfast shakes all ice cold and fresh this is a real fridge with a compressor at a smaller scale i have recommended this to several of my truck driving friends and good news i have so far lost 20 pounds just from buying this product and filling it with the good healthy food i can be eating at home

Best little freezer ever

I bought this little refrigerator/freezer for our rv. We have a very small refrigerator and freezer and if you turn it up to keep the frozen stuff frozen it freezes in the refrigerator towards the back. By having this extra little freezer we are able to turn the refrigerator down to normal settings and keep our ice cream and meats frozen probably. This little freezer is so cold and I only have it on the middle setting for the freezer. The ice cream is so hard you have to let it sit a few minutes. Now I can go to the grocery and buy enough food for the week and not be afraid everything is going to freeze. Best little freezer ever.

24/7 Clean Ice for a Good Elixir!!

I am using this great appliance in my bed room and it resolved good quality Ice and cold glass issues for my drinks. It is very quiet and you don't need to make it work in maximum capacity to freeze the items. Very practical and easy to use!
