if you're upgrading your smaller Intex pool, you'll need these on standby! they are working great but i use some PVC pipe zip tied across the pool legs to help prop them up. they get pulled down by the weight of the water in the pipes and it makes me nervous so i used an idea i saw on youtube to help support them. would love to upgrade the strainers to the proper 1.5" altogether. maybe next season's project!

Worked perfectly
Worked straight out of the package for my intex 12x30 pool. Nothing else was needed. I bought the 1500gph filter because the 584gph or whatever that came with the pool was quite wimpy. These adapters did the job.

Awesome. Got these to hook up a sand filter/salt water Intex unit that uses 1.5" hose to a Bestway 14' Diameter Pool that uses a 1.25". I tried another solution that kept popping off where I connect to the pool and lost half the water overnight. This product is kicking major butt.

Save yourself! Go SAND and SALT! So easy, so fast. No filters, no chemicals! WHY didn't we do this sooner?!
We HIGHLY recommend this POOL, this SAND FILTER and this SALTWATER SYSTEM! 2016 We set our pool up and had clear water the first 3 days last year, and from then on, it was HORRIBLE. We did everything (chemical-related) and the whole season stunk - no clarity, green, just questionable to even be in. The cartridge filter included with the pool was crap. We couldn't buy enough filters to keep it working well, we hated the idea of all the chemicals we had to add. It made life very difficult! AND it increased our electric bill about $100 a month! We then left the filter in the shed over the winter, where it froze the grease in the motor and no longer worked for this season. THANK GOD! So we did THIS.... THE POOL Intex 15 x 42 Metal Frame Pool Set, Complete Kit with 1000 GPH GFCI Filter/Pump, 3861 Gallons https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B9DQTNY/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=IGMYVMSDB6EKD&colid=2RB1P2C1HBVI6 We recommend it! We are happy with the pool. It survived a 4 year old and 3 adults all summer. The ladder is flimsy, but held up. The cover is almost impossible to get on, don't we all just need another 6"? But it does float on top of the water from side to side - it warms the water a little, catches pollen on good weather days, and sinks in rain. The chemicals we used last year bleached parts of the bottom, but it seems to be just a coloring issue. We took it down and stored it dry for winter; it takes 2-3 hours to put up and my husband manages to do it alone with minimal swearing. We are done with chemicals, and plan to upgrade to an 18' version of the same pool next year. AND we will get a good leaf net for the new pool. I do recommend, if you plan on making it a long term investment, just buy the pool instead of the whole set and get a higher quality ladder, cover and filters separately. 2017 AFTER we filled the pool this summer and realized the old filter didn't work, we bought this great big, powerful sand filter and saltwater system on Amazon and had 6 days to wait until we could use it. The filter is over-sized for this pool but will still work for next year's 18' pool - and last year's crap filter left us feeling power hungry! As we waited for our new filter to arrive, the water was overrun with algae - we had some GROSS, thick, CHUNKY water! Based on last year's experience, I thought the water would NEVER clear up, we'd have to refill this pool again and the City will charge me ANOTHER paycheck for the extra water. NOPE! Take THAT City bill! We started the systems at 3pm and by 9pm we could see the bottom again! YAY! Once we had enough chlorine made from the saltwater system, we turned everything off for the night. In the morning! I had crystal clear water, or Krystal Clear, if you will! It will need a vaccuuming, but I am good to go! I CANNOT BELIEVE how much time, money and AGGRAVATION we wasted last summer on that old filter system! PLEASE, save yourself! GO SAND AND SALT! THE FILTER Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 16-inch, $155 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GSPHS7E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 THE CHLORINATOR Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System with E.C.O. (Electrocatalytic Oxidation) for up to 7000-Gallon Above Ground Pools, $125 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PHWUIL2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 THE EXTRAS We bought 150 lbs. of Pool Sand and 150 lbs of Morton Pool Salt at Menards for a total of $48 and we are DONE FOR THE SEASON! No chemicals, no filters to buy, and now I see right to the "bottom of the matter," Krystal Clear water! THANK YOU mother nature, what a great idea you had! This size pool has 1-1/4" hoses, and the filter and saltwater system use 1-1/2" hoses. Some of the filters and saltwater systems came with these adapters, for us, only the saltwater system ended up included one. INTEX 1.25" to 1.5" Type B Hose Adapters for Pumps & Saltwater System | Set of 2 for $20 ($5 on Intex site). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RSICZU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We would be happy to answer any questions if you need help - oh YES, we love it THIS much!

... one that could move and filter water at a better rate and more suited for the amount of water
The adaptors were exactly what I needed when I upgraded my intex pump from the one that came with my pool to one that could move and filter water at a better rate and more suited for the amount of water. Unfortunately, the hoses that came with the new pump did not fit the pool and I didn't know that. So began the long process of trying to find adaptors. This product to the rescue. Got here fast - next day, surprised me - and easily slid onto the smaller outlet and clamped on. The new hoses screwed on beautifully as well. I'm grabbing another set to make some more adjustments to my pump and get more water circulating to take full advantage. Fair price, exactly what I needed, will buy it again.

This is the adapter you need to connect a bigger pump to your Quick Set pool!
If you want a bigger pump for your 10' or 15' Quick Set pool, you're going to need these adapters. These screw onto the ends of the bigger/nicer hoses that come with larger pumps, and then slip directly onto the fittings that are screwed into the side of your pool. Already filled the pool and are wondering how to switch the hoses? No problem. You kept that screw-on bowl-shaped plastic plug that goes over the intake mesh thing on the inside of your pool's intake line, right? Screw that on, then quickly switch the hoses. Now for the tricky part. the outlet fitting doesn't have a plug (at least mine didn't). So I loosened the cheap plastic clamp on the outlet fitting. holding the new hose in hand, I reached into the pool and used the palm of my other hand to plug the outlet hole. Then quickly switched the hose. Only about half a cup leaked out. Be sure to tighten both clamps - and don't forget to remove that screw-on bowl-shaped plug that goes on the intake fitting! Done! Enjoy your new whirlpool. LOL

All I needed to upgrade pumps.
Works perfect for going from the 1000 GPH intex pump to the 2500 GPH Krystal clear intex pump.

Um Yea, so I tried, and I really ...
Um Yea, so I tried , and I really tried hard, lost hours of my life to make it fit w/o the adaptors, but then I surrendered (well my kids begged me to), I bought these and minutes later the pool was back in business.
