Works great for installing AlumiConn connectors
Works great for installing AlumiConn connectors, as most people buy it for. Not sure why people say it is hard to adjust. Both sides of the window have marks every 5 in-lbs. On one side, they are labeled 10,20,30,40,50 and on the other, they're labeled 15,25,35,45. Unlabeled lines on one side line up with the labeled ones on the other side. All you do is twist the black portion on the end until the red line is aligned with the torque you want.

Wish I'd bought this years ago
This is a good investment I wish I'd made years ago. A few reviews say it's difficult to set, but I don't see how it could be any easier. Just dial to the setting you want. It slips and clicks when you reach it. No problem. I've used it only for maybe twenty sockets bit it's good value for the money I think.

I am very satisfied and would recommend this product to anyone
after reading the operation manual, I adjusted the red line to the highest setting then adjusted the red line to the lowest setting. after accomplishing this I adjusted the red line to the desired setting. there was a distinct audible sound when I reached my setting, this is what I was hoping to obtain. I am very satisfied and would recommend this product to anyone.

Very impressed
Works great. Was over torquing breakers with standard flat head. This was just what I need. Long shaft gave me plenty of room to work to keep from slicing open knuckes on breaker box.

Great for home shop use
I bought it for light gunsmithing use. Applying fixed repeatable amounts of torque to scope mounts, stocks, slip-fit barrel blocks... whatever. Its really nice to be able to mark down exactly what you torqued item X down to so you can ensure you do it again in exactly the same way after a maintenance tear-down. I can see that being handy for many different things beyond this product's original intended use. I have an inch-lb 1/4" torque wrench and that tool can do much of what this one does, but for many jobs a screwdriver will fit into available space much more easily than a wrench, no matter how compact it is.

Good Little Tool - a good addition to my tool set!
It worked exactly as expected. The screws holding a very hard-to-get-at valve cover of one of my cars has a very specific light torque requirement for proper gasket compression. I wasn't sure where my hand tightening would leave them, so I bought this as some assurance that they were tightened correctly to avoid another 3-hour teardown in the near future. It also fills a gap in setting range of the torque wrenches I have in my tool box. The instructions aren't the greatest, but setting the torque is very intuitive as long as you understand that the setting is based on the position of red line and not the top of the white bar that appears in the setting window. The red line is not visible with the torque setting backed entirely off as it is delivered, so I can see how this can be confusing at first. Fortunately, one of the reviews I looked at before purchasing it mentioned this, so I want to pass that little tidbit of information along, as well.

Trusty and extremely useful.
At our shop, we are a precision shop. We have 12 different torque wrenches (13 now, counting this one) and use this regularly for the smaller screws, such as valve cover bolts, carburetor mountings, etc. It has proven a reliable and valuable addition to our torque wrench collection. Although I hate "click" type wrenches which I thought this would be, it is actually a friction over-running clutch type, similar to the friction knob setting on micrometers, and in daily shop use, has proven to be very accurate. We have not had it long enough to attest to its durability, but for the price, we may just buy a spare (or two) to keep handy in the event we ever have a problem with this one. I am considering making a purchase of several to include in new tech welcome toolkit, given to our new techs once they complete the trial hire period successfully. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Tool to help with AL wiring electrical work at home
I have a townhouse with AL wiring from 1971. My electrician told me it would run 16K to rewire a 3 bedroom / 2.5 bath home. He also said my wiring was still in excellent condition. So - My research lead me to Alumicon and then the need for a torque screw driver. The tool is solid and easy to use. Thanks for a great tool that will allow for my home to be safe and give me time to save for replacing my wiring.

My liking this as much as I do probably has as much to do with the tool as that I am a tool geek. The applications where screw torque is important are few and far between, but when facing one it's more comforting to me not to have to guess. I'd prefer that the tool was a couple of buck less if it came without the tip assortment. My feeling is that if you don't already have all the tips you need, then you don't need this tool.

This torque screwdriver was reasonably priced and works very well- Easy to set just pull and turn the handle to set the torque limit. Then when screwing and reaching the torque limit the driver ratchets. Perfect for torquing screws on things like circuit breakers.
