I ordered this guitar for my 4 year old granddaughter, not for a toy, but because she expressed a sincere interest to learn to play. I play guitar so I know a little about it. I searched the internet for the best and found this one which is the perfect size for her. I got the guitar with nylon strings so they would be softer on her little fingers. I read a review about the strings breaking and not staying in tune.......but you have to understand that if you start out tuning too high, the strings will be too tight, so tune it a little on the loose side. Also, guitar strings stretch, especially nylon, and you will need to re-tune a few times (this goes for any guitar). I didn't have any strings to break and after a couple of days they stayed in tune. This guitar is durable, has a great sound, and perfect for a little superstar to learn to play. She loves it!

Tough guitar that take the abuse of the little tyke playing it. I find that it needs tuning a lot, but it holds the tune better and better when the stings get broken in. Not literally broken, but used to the point when they settle in.

Considering it will be used by my very young grandson, it's perfect. I appreciate the plastic caps on the headstock to protect his fingers from nasty skin pricks that could result from cut strings. The fact that the instrument is made of plastic makes good sense, too; it's durable. Sound quality is okay for a beginner. Overall, it couldn't be better. With a little supervised instruction from grandpa, he may discover the joy of playing and the beginning of a life-long passion.

Great starter guitar to see if they're interested. My daughter wanted one for her 9th birthday but I didn't think she was committed so I got her this. She was excited for a moment & then was bored with it.. so glad I didn't spend 100's of $$ on an expensive one up front!

This thing is awesome. Bought for my 3 year old who just loves to run into stuff with it.. After a lot of that, I'll pick it up and play it.. and its still in tune!! The strings take some time to stretch out and once they do, this thing stays in tune for a while.. with a LOT of abuse! It is PLASTIC... which, honestly, is perfect for what it is... light weight, and well constructed.

I got this for my two year old grandson. He is just a little small for it, but he is growing fast. This is seriously a lot better than I expected for the price. It comes with the strings loose in shipment, so it needs to be tuned. My little man loves to sit with me and pluck the strings. It is nice looking and the box is nice to store it in. For a child's first guitar, $25 is an awesome price.

You know those Disney or cartoon theme cheap guitars in stores? This is nothing like them and it's the same price or cheaper. This is a great quality solid first guitar. It requires constant tuning, but that's because it's being lugged around by a 5yo. It comes with some learning music and the keys (knobs at the top of the neck) are color coded. Really pleased with this toy purchase online. If you're looking for a first guitar that isn't crappy, this one is great. PS I (my kid has) have owned a crappy cartoon one and, never again!!

Bought this for my musically inclined preschooler. It is the perfect size for a small child to learn basic chords. This is not a toy but a real instrument. High-quality. Fantastic little starter for your Child! Hands down, it plays easily, tunes easily and your beginner student will be on their way to strumming chords in no time! I highly recommend as a First Guitar for your 5-9 year old. I’m 42 and LOVE sitting and playing this little thing! The fact that it’s plastic kinda freaked me out, till I tuned and played it. Great Fun! My Daughter loves it!😎✌🏽 Cheers!

Bought it for my 3 yo who loves playing it. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it is made and sounds. My husband was able to tune it and played it himself too. He was impressed with quality too. He strings are real, not plastic. Very satisfied! Great Christmas present. The only downside is that I didn't come with the shoulder strap.
