It works and makes a difference

I have yet to try any generic or different replacement filters and my after picture is the reason why. Besides tasting the difference I can see it when I replace a filter after it has captured all the rust. Our building (undergoing some renovations) and neighborhood has old pipes that are slowly being updated so all kinds of stuff is just getting kicked up and carried into the water. I might test some others out but right now I am happy seeing and tasting the difference this filter makes and I figure any reduction in anything in the water is a good thing.

Love PUR and my clean water

Some of the filters do only let half the water through like others have mentioned, but I don't see it as too big of a deal. If you let it soak correctly and rinse it out there should be no black specs in your water; I haven't had that issue yet. Water tastes great and I don't have to second guess what might be in it.

Used to be great for money. Now they aren't.

I love these filters. I'm picky about my water taste. Too bad that during this pandemic they are jacking up the prices to almost double and I refuse to buy them now.

Works just fine as of Jan 2020

A lot of the reviews were bad so I was a bit hesitant, but it worked just fine for me. It completely takes away the chlorine taste and makes my teas so much better.

Fantastic Filter Quality

The Pur 2-stage replacement filter is exceptionally well made. The taste of the water after filtration is crisp and refreshing. The cartridges are easy to install and remove. The whole Pur water filter system is incredible and I recommend it for people living in areas where the drinking water has an unpleasant odor or taste. You'll save a lot of money over buying bottled water. Who knows how long the bottled water has been sitting in the industrial grade plastic bottles? Were they washed and filled under ideal circumstances in the bottled water factory. No need for these worries with the Pur filter system and these amazing 2-stage water filters.

Tastes like Fiji water!

I realized that the filter I was using for our PUR pitcher was at least a couple of years old- my mom doesn't understand the concept of new filters, thinks they're frivolous- so when I saw this deal on amazon, I snagged it. I seriously cannot believe what a *huge* difference these filters make in the quality of the water. The water doesn't smell like a pool anymore, and is super smooth. I also switched my dog's water to filtered after he had some kidney/bladder issues, and he (knock wood) has been doing so much better. All in all this is a super cheap and awesome.

Whatever issue people are having seems to have been resolved.

I haven't had any issues with these filtering. I have used two of these over the past few months, and neither of them have stopped up. My wife and I live in an area with poor water quality, and put about 2 to 2.5 gallons through these filters each day. So, yeah. I put bad water in, better water comes out. Pretty much all there is to say about a filter. Five stars.

Water Taste Better

I compared the Pur to the Brita and I ended up choosing the Pur because I read that it filtered out more substances. I was concerned about the taste difference because some reviews stated that the they didn’t like the taste but I loved it. Since using this, the water tastes much better. I’m happy with my purchase. The filter last about two months.

Good price...

I purchased the 2 pack here on Amazon and they were priced cheaper than my neighborhood store. How do they work? The filters do their job well. Been using these exact filters for almost 5 years and the filtered water they produce tastes noticeably better. I like the PUR system.

Great replacement

Cheap enough to replace these as needed. Works like a charm as an exact replacement for the OEM filter. I don't change these as often as suggested. It's apparent that, once a filter starts working slowly, it is probably past time. Having installed this easily, water filters rapidly again.
