I got this because Alton Brown recommended it and uses it in his video on mashed potatoes. It works perfectly and is fairly priced. Easy to clean. Fits inside other pots for space-saving storage. Many times this is faster than electric food processors and does a better job on certain things. Versatile. Eco-friendly. Efficient. Deal!

Great for all types of food.
I would recommend this product for anyone to have on hand in the kitchen. Very versatile. light weight. easy to clean and use. I love that it has three different size blades. I had one for years that belonged to my mom and it was one size hole. This will be great for cactus apple jelly, potatoes, can be used as a ricer and for anyone that needs to have help making their food easier to digest, this is the tool!

Food Mill
This is a fantastic food mill. When using the mill on tomatoes it gets almost all the seeds, the only ones that make it through are the ones smaller than the holes (obviously). It gets all the skin which is perfect, but the thing I really like is it gets all the meat! Almost nothing is wasted as long as you take some extra time. I processed 11 pounds of tomatoes in maybe 15 min. most. Best part is it is easy to disassemble and re-assemble. Pros - Easy to clean - Effecient - Strong build Cons If any it is the amount of pressure you need to apply when assembling. I don't have a problem because I work with some heavy lifting. A person who had surgery and is limited to 5 or 10 pounds will not have a good time assembling this.

Terrific piece of gear. Versatile and Sturdy
I use this to grind dehydrated spice blends. I had a cheaper one that fell apart under the abuse. This one has already lasted longer and is in great shape despite the heavy use. Great ergonomics. Even grinding the most crystalline products go through easily and come out consistently. One caveat: There are no spreadable legs (which break on other mills) so you have to have a bowl the right diameter to work conveniently. Highly recommend!

Saves lots of time.
Similar to the one my mom had 60 years ago. I use this for my red chili pods when I make my red chili sauce. Saves hours. Easy to clean. Works as advertised.

Works just fine.
Works just fine. Used the small sieve to crush tomatoes for juice and canning. I like the small flag on one of the arms of the retaining bar that keeps skin and seeds from accumulating.

ABOVE AND BEYOND QUALITY FOR THE PRICE!
Delivered on-time. This mill has a nice heft/weight to it and you can immediately tell that it is constructed with quality stainless steel and not cheap flimsy sheet metal. It is made to be used and will stand up to having manual force applied to it without failing and falling into a bowl or pot full of your ingredients ending in you covered in a mess! Assembly was required however it could not have been simpler, we're talking about 10 seconds to assemble. This also means it will break-down equally quickly for cleaning. Given the ease of assembly it is of no concern to swap between the three different sized mill plates. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and top it of with a price tag under 20 bucks? Are you serious, I feel like I'd be willing to pay twice this amount for this level of quality. This purchase should be a no-brainer for you. I hope this review helped.

Very pleased.
I made some applesauce today, cooked up some apples with little bit of water and then once they were soft put them in the food mill. It worked like a charm, I am so happy with my purchase.

Saved tons of prep time, a lifesaver for making apple butter/applesauce.
This thing is magical!!! If I were making more apple butter from scratch and had to chose between this mill and a unicorn I'd go with this mill. Seriously. This is a tremendous prep timesaver as well. Having to peel, core and then quarter the apples would have taken me at least an hour. With the mill I only quartered the apples before cooking them. I was able to quickly mill more than 10 pounds of apple into more than 17 cups of applesauce (in their brief stop prior to becoming apple butter). when I say quickly, I mean that using this mill it was under 5 minutes. Stupid fast and super convenient. I used the middle sized disc (3mm medium) It prevented all but 1 seed from being milled. I only emptied the seeds/peels once during the operation (by scooping them out with a spoon). The catch? There isn't really one. There is a very slight learning curve on assembly (think-not near the pain of ikea assembly) Ok a few issues-mainly because I've never used a food mill before. So, hope this helps another user: -Although the pictures in the brochure show the hooks for the pan as pointing up, they actually are pointed down. -Insert your disc where the center hole looks like a tiny mount. Insert blade/handle attachment. Make sure post of blade/hand is seated in the hold on the disk. At this point the blade/handle attachment doesn't quite fit. But you have springs around the center post. Position the bar of your blade/handle attachment so that the larger/thicker end can be hooked underneath the hook on the pan. Then press down and hook the other side. It's a little awkward but after you've done it once you won't have any problems.

Yes!
I've only used it a few of times, but it worked very well, seems good and sturdy, and I love the interchangeable discs. I also used it (without the handle and with an addition mesh filter), to cold-filter my raw honey! Oh, and did I mention the outstanding price? Other food mills I found at the stores (and online) were double the price I paid for this, and did not have the interchangeable discs! Yes, I recommend it!
