GREAT for tall/big toddlers!
I ordered this for my 2 and a half year old son after seeing him have lots of pedaling success on a friends Trek “Trikester” tricycle that is no longer made and impossible to find. What the Trikester and this schwinn have over the standard trike is overall size/base and a lower center of gravity. My son is 3ft 2in tall at only 2.5 years old and weighs 37lbs. The first trike I got him was the pricey Kettler and despite its high price tag and obvious quality it was easy for my son to tip over due to his immature tricycle riding skills and large size. The Schwinn is perfect for him! I’m very impressed with its quality given its reasonable price. It also comes with details worth mentioning like a bell and tassels on the handlebars, a platform between the rear wheels, and extremely BRIGHT chrome trim that reflects light in a way that it’s an accidental safety feature. This trike is a great buy for sure and I’ll update my review if anything changes!

Great Trike!!
Let's start with the with some background This was my third attempt with the roadster. #1 had a stem clamp too small to fit on the handle bar assembly and for some reason would not tighten enough so that the tire and steering would slip out of alignment. #2 appeared to just get lost in shipping #3 as of two weeks is perfect ... it's a cool looking tricycle for sure. bold paint, cool fenders, that standing board on the back is neat as well. the low center of gravity means highly unlikely to tip unless going at VERY fast speeds. Assembly is a breeze for the most part. And you should be able to have it all together with proper tools within 15-mintes (perhaps as long as 30-minutes) You can adjust the seat which is of course awesome to accommodate different sizes which is second most important to ... real rubber tires. plastic trike/big wheel tires (I can even remember as a child some 35 years ago) are maddeningly frustrating due to slipping. With the roadster, tire slippage is no issue My 2-year old loves this tricycle and he is constantly complimented on how cool it looks which, for a 2-year old to hear from his big cousins, may make him happiest of all

Awesome!
We got this for our son for Christmas. He's an average size 28-month-old. With the seat at the closest position to the pedals his feet will reach but his foot falls off of the outside pedal when he turns the front wheel, so he still has a little room to grow into it. For the most part he just walks with it but we're working on his technique. We get a lot of comments at the park about how cool this tricycle looks. The wood step on the back gives it an awesome retro look. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to assemble and ours didn't have any problems with the wheels as some negative reviews mentioned. I think it's a steal at under $100. We really wanted to get him the blue one but it was more expensive and inventory would come and go so we waited until it was in-stock and I think $89.99. Not the cheapest price for a tricycle but it's a quality product and will hopefully last until he's ready for a bicycle.

Shwinn Tricycle 12
Great bike form shwinn. Really came though on this. Super easy to put together. No Nick's, scratching. Decal could have been better. Other than this awesome. My little dude loves it. Can grow into it as you can change the seating position as they get taller. Shwinn has been around forever. I'm Happy with this buy. In shwinn I trust.

Super Quality, WOW!
If you want a trike that will be here when this Grandson passes it along to his brother and will then be here for their children one day purchase this Schwinn because there are No Negatives about this trike. It is heavy in that the metal is superior to all others we looked at and is world class old school Schwinn better than my 1956 Schwinn bike . I really think it is that well made. I cannot see how anyone would be disappointed if they purchase it. Plan on making sure when they finish it is put up not sold in a yard sale for the next generation. GREAT PRODUCT SCHWINN ! Already have my eye on the 20 inch bike for them and yest its a Schwinn. Quality is worth paying for.

Great for Small Kids Who Want To Ride Bikes
I bought this for my mom's son and he really loves this bike. It is easy to learn and ride, safe, and is easy to control once you get started. The design is well done and the wheels are of high quality. The whole bike is made with durable material and can be cleaned once a week without much trouble. I highly recommend this toy for people with children who want to learn how to ride their first bike.

GREAT buy!!! We love it!
Wow what a find! It doesn’t come with the tools to assemble it, but it’s fairly easy to put together. It’s easy to adjust the size, so as my grandson grows, the trike can grow with him. I got a sale price and it only cost 68$......such a steal! This is a sturdy well made retro looking tricycle! We didn’t have ANY of the problems the other negative reviews had. It’s honestly one of my favorite Amazon buys! Not a cheap plastic bike, but a good old fashioned sturdy trike!!! Love it!

Great Schwinn trike!
Package arrived in the original box; all parts were present; clear instructions on assembly; the front tire was low but the back 2 had air; I love the adjustable seat and the ease of use for my 3 year old son. The materials are sturdy and we love the blue color and features, such as the bike bell. There is not a brake for this trike so it is a little difficult to push or assist riding from the back while your child is riding bc the front wheel continues to spin, so if his or her foot gets caught in the front tire you have to manually stop the bike or else the wheel continues to spin. Overall, we are pleased with our purchase and would recommend it to others.

Great sturdy trike!
I bought this trike after an epic fail with a balance bike. My 2-year-old son (26 months) is 37" tall and can just reach the pedals on this. He did not like his balance bike and kept asking for a bike with pedals. I think he will use it more next year, but for now I got him this because it doesn't seem as tippy as other "classic" trikes. The box says ages 2-4, but you better have a tall one! My son is the size of an average 3-year-old, and he can't get enough leverage to pedal. He can reach with the seat all the way forward, but he can't quite make the wheels turn on his own. This is a heavy trike, but it's very nice. My son should be able to ride this until he is at least 5. I have seen pictures of this rusted out and people complaining that it only lasted one season, but I think if you take care of it and don't leave it outside, it will last. I plan to bring ours inside for the winter and keep it in the garage in the summer. Assembly was easy and took me 20 minutes, including inflating all 3 tires. Overall, this is a cool-looking trike and my son loves it!

Best Tricycle I've Ever Seen
Santa brought this for my Son on Christmas of 2009 (it is 16 months old, as of this writing). I've got to say, I'm extremely impressed with what Santa's elves have done here. This is, easily, the highest-quality, most well-made tricycle I have ever seen. Indeed, before seeing this with my own two eyes, I didn't know such a well-made tricycle even existed! Everything about this tricycle oozes quality and, a year and a half later, it is still going strong. To begin, the design of the trike is great. The smooth curves and retro styling make this really eye-catching. The paint, chrome, and trim are beautiful. The wooden, chrome-trimmed deck in back is a great touch which my son uses frequently to tote around toys, etc. The thick, fully-treaded, pneumatic tires are great and, after a year and a half of use, have not cracked or deflated in the slightest. Even the quality of the well-secured, fabric handlebar tassels is impressive. The inclusion of a steel handlebar bell is yet another nice touch. The low center of gravity makes this a supremely safe vehicle. Not only does it look cool, but I can't imagine this thing tipping over. As a matter of principal I still insist that my son wears a helmet, but that has more to do with me teaching him good safety habits than anything else because I doubt the helmet will ever have a chance to do its job. It's as if a steel-framed bicycle cross-bred with one of the "Big Wheels" we adults all loved as children. Please be aware that this tricycle is big and the reach from the seat to the pedals is far, even when the seat is adjusted to be as close to the pedals as possible. I'd say most kids can start using it around 2 1/2 years (sorry that's a little vague, but I'm not sure how to properly measure the seat/pedal distance and equate that to a precise height). The flip side of this is that it will last a long time (with regard to supporting your child's growth). When Santa brought this for my 22-month old, he could barely reach the pedals and he's always been quite tall for his age. For us, it was no problem though; he just scooted around on it until he could reach the pedals, which was easy given to the low profile. As far as I'm concerned, if you're in the market for a tricycle and your child is big enough to reach the pedals, there is simply nothing else worth considering. If your child is not quite big enough, but will be soon, I'd recommend you at least consider waiting so that you can purchase this tricycle rather than any other. Zero complaints.
