I am very pleased with this tube

I am very pleased with this tube. I use it to store my plant stakes for the garden. Instead of having it thrown here and there, I now have all my stakes in one place. The strap on the tube makes it very convenient to hang on the wall and out of the way.

Carry-on compliant? Maybe.

Use it as a carry-on for flying to conferences. No trouble from airlines, yet.

Useful for many different things and the price is right.

I use these to store welding rods, it keeps them organized, clean and dry. I am sure there are many more ways to use this versatile item.

Little Workhorse - Does the Job

We purchased this tube after considering all options for a 3 feet x 6 feet long banner with grommets. There were negative experiences online with many of the less expensive adjustable tubes. The Alvin 37 inch tub perfectly accommodates our banner as long as the banner is tightly wound and rubber banded. Tube has a 2 ¾ inside diameter, and is 37 inches long. It is UV resistant, moisture proof and dust proof. Another concern we had was with screw on and off caps. Though this tub does not have a screw on and off cap, it is one that pushes on and off. Also, only one end can be opened, which I think is more beneficial than having two sides that can open. At no time did the cap come off on its own, even when we held it upside down. This tub withstood a 10 days of international travel both from the west coast to the east coast of the United States, then from JFK Airport to the Baltic Sea region and back. The tube easily fit in an airline overhead bin. I was also able to take it on airport shuttles and other modes of transportation very easily. We attached a luggage tag to the top portion of the plastic clamp at the top of the tube. The only intermittent problem we had was that the clasp at the top of the tube would inadvertently come off its hinge. However, this only happened three times. The tube was even pinched under heavy luggage but withstood the pressure and now has a crease mark on it but no dent. The bright color helps for keeping track of this item, especially when you are carrying other things. I was able to put the tube strap on my shoulder along with a backpack. I believe this tube was an excellent value and I would purchase it again. The Prime Free Shipping and cost of item made this the perfect carrier for our specific needs.

Great poster tube, awesome to transport my poster on my trip!

Great tube and easy to see

I took this tube with 2 posters in it to a conference on the West coast. It was easy to store in the overhead bin on the flight and I had no problems with it. The end that opens doesn't screw on but there was no issue about it sliding off. It worked well for my needs and the price.

Easy to carry with the strap

I have now traveled to several conferences with my posters in this tube. Easy to carry with the strap! For fitting your poster, make sure you roll it matt side out/glossy side in. As this tube is plastic, your poster will get stuck with the glossy side out (a problem that doesn't occur in cardboard tubes, so be cautious). In regards to travel, my advice would be put the tube strap on first and then your purse straps over it, that way its super securely in place! TSA did not give me any problems having this, my purse, and my duffel bag.

Fantastic way of carrying rolled items

Pretty straight forward, using this to carry a play mat for D&D and Pathfinder. Works very well, and made of a quite thick plastic that doesn't bend or deny easy at all. Only issue is the end cap that shouldn't open has come off, but honestly nothing a little bit of glue didn't fix real quick.

Perfect for poster presentations at scientific conferences

If you're presenting a poster at a scientific conference, especially if you need to travel, this is tube is perfect. I was tired of reusing around those cardboard ones with no strap, and having it be the wrong size so that the end of the rolled up poster would stick out. This is the perfect size. The bright color is eye catching and unique and makes your tube stand out against the dozens of other poster presenters, so you know which one is yours. Also prevents people from stealing your tube (which has happened to me before!) I read many reviews and the telescoping tubes that are adjustable in length always seemed to have problems, so I knew I wanted a fixed length with no moving parts. This is long enough to fit most posters, but not too long to be a hindrance/bulky. The cap is not the screw-on type, it's just a "push-in" type, which is fine, and doesn't come off accidentally. The tube only opens on one end, which is fine for me because I've had problems before with other tubes where one side's cap would come loose and the poster would just fall out. Lightweight plastic but still sturdy. If you squeeze it hard enough, the plastic will give, but this isn't really a concern. You would really have to squash it to damage the poster inside.

I would recommend this product

I used this tube to transport a large poster to a conference. I was able to carry this on to my flight and store it in the overhead bin. The strap is adjustable so you can wear it or carry it with ease. While I was careful in handling this product, I have not experienced any cracks or dents at all. I would recommend this product.
