Works great, do take the time to be careful and to get used to cutting with these blades, since it'll be a new experience for most people that are buying this for the first time (myself included). You will eventually get a "feel" for optimal angles and pressures to cut different materials

Perfect detailing knife for hobbyists!
You cant go wrong with this knife. It is exactly what I was looking for. I build racer drones and like to decorate them using various stickers and wraps, and this knife is perfect for cutting around those tiny openings on the frames. Feels like it made from very high quality materials. I have went through several blades and the locking mechanism still feels very secure! Don't forget to purchase extra blades if you plan on using it much, it's made for small detail work and that always requires extremely sharp blades to get the desired results!

I am so very glad I purchased this
How did I ever live without this? I use this x-acto knife for so many things. I am so very glad I purchased this. I do a lot of online shopping, so I am always opening packages and boxes. This is great for that. It has also made the job of breaking up the boxes (for recycling) much easier. I have found this to be a good solid tool and am thankful that it came with a safety cap so I can keep it on hand in my desk drawer.

Great hobby knife
Great hobby knife. It has good weight and the blade cuts nice and clean. I've been using for gunpla and so far has been very reliable. The only issue I've been having for me personally is that the blade is a bit bigger than what I wanted. Not to the fault of the product, but for me, after using this blade, I learned that I like a little more control and working in small portions so a smaller blade is my ideal blade. So make sure the blade size is what you need/want

Great Gasket Scraper for the mech.
I'm a motorcycle mechanic hand have used these as a excellent gasket scraper in tight areas. I purchased the X-ACTO #18 H.D. square chisel blades also from Amazon & you would be amazed how they cut threw hard baked on gaskets. I have a couple w/ different blades so I don't waste time changing. Big Warning : Be careful to keep hand out of the way. They are EXTREMELY Sharp ! ! !

Great for Crafts
This is super sharp. Admittedly I've cut myself a few times, but I'm a clumsy loser. It does cut well, and it's easy to clean. The grip on the handle means it doesn't slip easily, and it has nice weight. The blade is removable, so it can be swapped with others, and it has a nice lid, with little wings on either side so it doesn't roll around. I use it every day and haven't seen any dulling yet. It leaves sharp, smooth lines on anything I use it for, and I never have to cut twice. I'm very happy with it. The little tip means I can do teeny tiny details without worrying about squishing anything.

Great X-Acto Knife
I purchased this as a replacement for the craft X-Acto knife I bought a few years ago. The blade is sharp and doesn't wiggle, which is one reason I was replacing the one I already had. The cap doesn't slide off the blade, it fits securely, which is another reason I bought this as a replacement. As far as its use goes, it works. It fits nicely in my hand (I am a petite woman with small hands) and I had no problem with the grip. I'm happy with this X-Acto knife and wish I had gotten this over the pink craft one I originally purchased.

BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING
Take great precaution when removing this from its packaging. Like an idiot, I sliced myself right across the thumb even being very careful. WHY they wouldn't package it with the cap on is beyond me. Anyway, it works great and my thumb has healed up. The handle is a bit thicker than a regular X-acto knife, which I was unaware of. I like the littler ones, but this works fine. The handle is about the thickness of a sharpie marker.

I like the cap
I was originally looking to purchase the smaller X-ACTO knife. . . but then I saw this one with the cap, and I didn't see the smaller one with a cap. I find this one works just as well for me as the smaller one, and I really like the fact that it comes with an easily removable cap. Just a small thing, but it keeps the blade from cutting things. . It keeps the blade from getting dull so quickly by "banging-around". . . . It also keeps the knife from rolling off the table, because it has two little "wings" on the sides. Because it's a little larger, I think it fits a little better in my hand too.

Works well
Very good x-acto knife. The cap stays securely on for me, so no worries about reaching in my pencil bag and getting nicked. It is sharp and good at scraping away layers of color, but be careful. It is sharp and can cut the paper. Use a very delicate touch for this technique. Overall, the product is as described and works well.
