Very pleased
The blanket is large, soft and already warm without it being plugged in. The cord is long enough to plug in up front while it is being used in the back seat (we have a mid size SUV). It warms up within a few minutes of plugging it in and it's just cozy for the little one to be comfortable since we can't have a winter coat on while in the car seat. I unplug it when we are not using it, even when the car is off because I haven't seen an off button. But it does have a timer of 30 minutes or 45 minutes so that is nice. Recommend and happy with this.

What a wonderful idea!
I bought 4 of these - two as Christmas presents - and then I just had to have one in each of our cars. I initially thought they would be just for emergencies but we use them often. The blankets are cuddly so before they even warm up they are great. They do warm up quickly and are just the right size to not drape on the floor or get in the way of the car's pedals as you drive. (Of course you have to position them carefully for that but they don't dangle when you do). Last winter didn't do them justice - it was so warm, but this year, Minnesota has had record cold and we have really appreciated them. Grandpa especially loves to have them on his frail 92 year old body. And my friend to whom I gave one, works about an hour away as a nurse and needs to be there at 7:00 AM and often drives long, cold, snow and ice packed roads to get there. She really appreciates hers. So these make great gifts and lovely presents for ourselves - especially if your car - like mine- doesn't have heated seats.

Every vacation we drive 10 to 12 hours to MB we use to dress like we were going to the North Pole because my husband likes to freeze us w the air conditioning. So I bought 2 of these 2nd best purchase to date iv made for our vacation 1st being the sweat shirt w ear buds built in so I don't have to hear my mother in laws humming for 12 hours! Girlfriend absolutely loves it
I got this as a gift for my girlfriend that had to drive to work very early in the morning and during a very long and harsh winter. She occasionally uses it to keep her legs warm before the car heats up, but where its really shined is when she showed up at an appointment early and nobody was ready... she was exhausted from long work hours so went back out to the car and used this to stay warm while napping during sub-zero temperatures. So far there haven't been any problems like what others are experiencing. These things might be built cheap, but the technology is very straightforward. I imagine the problem most others are having have to do with overloading a fuse. That's to be expected since cars aren't exactly wired for electric blankets. If my girlfriend tells me it isn't working, then I'll open up the control box and inspect the fuses.

Literally a life saver...well it could be
This blanket is literally a life saver. No I didn't get stuck in a snow bank, but it prevented my son from being unsafe in his car seat! So, not many people know this but it is unsafe for children to wear a winter jacket in their car seat. Winter jackets are puffy and bulky. This prevents the belts from getting secure. One option is to take the jacket off, secure the kid in the seat, and have them wear their jacket backwards over the harness. This might work for some, but my son always took off his jacket...always! Being that we live in northern Minnesota and we take a weekly 2 hour drive, he needed something better. This little blanket is great! I would plug it in when I turned the car on and by the time we got in the car, it was nice and toasty. Yeah, it doesn't get "hot", only warm but this is what makes it a great option for kids. Yeah, it does turn itself off after 45 minutes, but there is a button on the control that resets the timer. One push and it's working again. Shoot, the rear defrost only runs for about 15 minutes, and people don't complain about having to push that button too much. If you are thinking of options to keep your kids safe during winter rides...this is a must have!

Cozy & Warm! I would buy again!
This winter, I got plenty of use out of this electric blanket for the car. It heated up faster than the car's heater and kept me warm in sub zero temperatures while I waited for my car's heater to get warm. I would buy it again. I like the auto timer, the indicator light that showed it was on, and I especially appreciated the extra car fuses included with this electric blanket. My fuses in the car are still good, but it's nice to have 2 extras on hand. Originally, I had ordered a different blanket from a different seller. The seller cancelled my order. So, I ordered my second choice. Everything happens for a reason and I'm very happy this is the blanket I got. Great seller and great product. Does what it says!

Some things just make me happy. Warm feet in the car is one of them, and I love this blanket for that reason! I am looking for a storage bag for it though so I can keep it clean between use in the back of the car.

Makes my morning drive into work much more pleasant.
Got it because my seat warmer doesn't work. You plug it in and it starts automatically, and you can set it to run for either 30 or 45 mins- the only way to start it (or stop it if it's a shorter drive) is to plug it in/out. The first couple of times I used it, it took about 15 mins just to start feeling it getting warm, but after you've broken it in it only takes about 3-5 to be noticeably warm. I love it.

Perfect addition for winter driving comfort.
This is a wonderful blanket to have in a Superduty. I use a little bungie with clips to keep it folded and up against the driver seat-back and I plug it into the powerpoint receptacle as soon as I get in these winter mornings. Who needs a $1000 heated seat accessory. The blanket can be unfolded to cover one's front as well. It's worked fine for a month now. I will amend this review as time goes on and stuff happens, or doesn't.
