• MULTI-USE STEAK KNIFE – The utility steak knife is an indispensable kitchen staple that you’ll use both in the kitchen and at the dinner table. The knife’s blade measures 4-7/8 inches and has an overall length of 6-1/8 inches.
  • STAINLESS STEEL BLADE – It is a mid-size knife and has a longer blade than a traditional paring knife. The Utility Knife is ideal for slicing vegetables and other meats that a paring knife is not suitable for. The hollow ground blade is made from surgical grade, T420 high carbon stainless steel that is hand sharpened.
  • DISHWASHER SAFE HANDLE – The handle is comprised of a black stainless steel resin that can be washed in the dishwasher. Hand washing fine cutlery is recommended but the handle on this knife is dishwasher tolerant. It has just the right thickness for comfort and performance.
  • AMERICAN MADE CUTLERY – Rada Mfg. Co. is located in Waverly, Iowa and has been manufacturing cutlery in the USA since 1948. Our mission is all about “providing our customers the best value of kitchen knives for their dollar.”

We were given a set of 3 knives 30 years ago at our wedding shower. I never knew the brand name of the knives until I saw a flyer in the mail advertising a knife that looked remarkably like what we received so many years ago. So on a whim, I went to Amazon (my go-to online store) and searched this knife. Told my husband I was going to order one and see if it could possibly be the same knife (I doubted it, but tried anyway). Lo and behold, it was the same knife when I opened the box and compared my 30 year old knife to the brand new knife. My husband just sharpened for the FIRST time the original knife for me after 30 years of use.

Full size chief knife requires a good cutting board a lot of space and a dedication. If you just want some quick prep for just your self this knife is the way to go. Obviously the biggest selling point, is that it is make is the USA. After a quick sharpening on diamond stones and a frequent touch up on the steel, the knife easily slices through even soggy tomatoes. So far it appears to hold the edge way better, than the Chinese specials in that price category. You can easily spend ten times that for the same size knife. It will get you a fancier handle. It might get you a better steel. But in reality this knife is an excellent choice for an occasional prep work for one person.

Sharp...very sharp. A friend has these knives from 20 years ago and they are still great and hold a nice edge. I plan on buying more Rada knives.

I lost one of my Cutco knives so I decided to purchase this. The Rada is nearly just as good as a Cutco. It's extremely sharp and cuts through meat with ease. You could cut yourself very badly with this so be careful and don't let your little kids eat with it. It needs to be hand washed every time so don't put it in the dishwasher. Only downside is the handle feels cheap. Overall, I am happy with this knife and I will be buying more Rada knives in the near future.

These are great knives for the value. Very sharp and would recommend them to anyone needed kitchen knives. Stainless steel and best to hand wash but had others that I do put in dishwasher and so far they have not tarnished.

Bought as a replacement after I dropped one in an inaccessible area of the kitchen. Embarrassing! I have used Rada knives almost exclusively for nearly ten years, I own 15 plus my steak knives, cannot be more enthusiastic about their products.

I bought this because the set I had previously bought of the matching knives were one short to fill the wood block I store all my knives in. Being from Iowa I enjoy these local knives to no end and needed to fill my set out! These are great knives that look good and function perfectly.

My mom and my grandma both prized their Rada knives, and I have three that are 38 years old and still very usable. As my mom did, I use the Utility/Steak Knife as a long paring knife, and my two old ones both had bent tips at the very end, so I decided to get a new one. I don't even have a dishwasher, so mine with be hand-washed, but that seems to be the way to go to prevent discoloring, too, based on other reviews.

Great value. Just what I wanted.

SHARP...I cut my finger on the knife while unpacking it. It is very sharp, slices and peels very good.
