Before & After Picture Attached - INCREDIBLE!
Sooo...I'm still in shock of how well this worked on a couple of old antique silver service trays my grandmother just handed down to me. They were wrapped loosely in paper for about 25 years and then given to me completely black. There's still a lot left to clean out of the grooves in the handles, etc., but the progress I've already made warranted the before and after picture that I'm attaching to this post. I had never cleaned silver before and should've gotten a larger sponge to use aside from the small one it came with - which is perfectly fine for small items - this thing was just too massive and filthy. But I can't imagine a product could work any better. Thrilled with the results and will use for life.

Works Beautifully on Heirloom Silver
I did a lot of research before choosing a silver polish. We have antique heirloom silver and I wanted to make sure I didn't hurt the silver in the process of polishing it. Some cheap alternative polishes can damage the silver permanently. I am quite pleased with how this works. It's gentle and at the same time does an absolutely beautiful job of polishing the silver to its initial luster. Make sure you follow the directions and be prepared to go slow and gentle. Polishing silver isn't a speedy process. It's about really paying attention to the thing you're working on. It's a mindful activity. It connects you with the artisans who crafted the silver object and to all those who appreciated it over the years.

It's so FUN and EASY and did I say FUN because it ...
Oh. My. Word. I will NEVER use another silver polish again! This stuff has ruined me forever for tarnish removers! It's so FUN and EASY and did I say FUN because it is actually FUN & über satisfying to watch even & especially the blackest tarnish just wipe off, little to no elbow grease required. Especially since I'd just purchased the "Twinkle" or" Sparkle" or whatever the brand is called from Amazon here because it had gotten such rave reviews, but was the type I had learned to hate polishing silver for as a child because NOTHING COMES OFF!!! So many hours & a very sore shoulder later, when there was no appreciable difference with the Twinkle/Sparkle stuff, I was understandably disheartened. However, after watching a clip from "silver magpies" online on this Goddards silver soap stuff, it looked so freakishly easy & fun & was so reasonably priced that, though I was fairly sure the video clip was too good to be true, I could afford to gamble a little. Lol! Okay so, it was so fun that I went and polished my tarnished antique silver tea service. In like a half hour. I ordered a soft horsehair brush for some detail work, but seriously! The silver pieces that had looked a tiny bit better with the other polish now looked awful next to the Goddard kind, so I polished those up too. I was sort of on a silver-polishing-rampage for a while there. And I wanted to wear a polishing cloth for a cape as I flew around my home destroying tarnish of any sort, anywhere I could find it. I got new pieces to expand my antique tea set that were literally being given away due to the 'horrid' black tarnish, found a $50 platter for $5 etc, took them home & they were gleaming in mere minutes! And I didn't really even need gloves-- though I did put some on after a number of pieces because pruny fingers are for real. The only danger has been that, now that I have no fear of even the worst tarnish, I've been buying up nasty silver "charcoals briquettes" & not finding existing dings until after I'd already bought & polished the pieces. So be careful about going nutzo like I did. But if you already own great but tarnished pieces, get your polishing cape on, cause using this stuff is so fun it's addictive!

It works!
This product really works and safe to use. My thrift store finds were very tarnished and now shines like new. Still requires hard work to get tarnish off and follow the instructions: warm water and work up a rich lather. One con is you don’t get as much product as it seems - only 60% of product inside tub. You also need to keep putting product on applicator for it to work. Diluted or a small amount won’t work. And rinse the sponge often, doesn’t work well when dirty either, even with added product. Other than that, great product for small jobs.

No Better Silver Polish!
I've tried several different silver polishes out there and Goddard's is by far the best I've ever used. It comes with a sponge foam applicator but I've found it works better to apply it by hand (gloves recommended) and then use a super absorbent paper towel or even a tissue and rub hard. Just rinsing after application doesn't work because you need something absorbent to pickup the tarnish. I've used this product to remove 40 or 50 years worth of tarnish off of old sterling and it does the job! (although you may have to repeat application!) Safe for both silver plate and sterling.

Highly Recommended
My Fiancé and I bought some sterling silver rings at Tiffany's. The saleswoman who helped us supplied us with cloth and a Tiffany's silver polishing liquid. We tried what she supplied a couple of times and the rings just didn't shine like they did in the store. The poor results resulted in me going back to the store to have them professionally cleaned. Tiffany's obliged and when I picked up the rings, they were shinier than the day we bought them. I asked the lady how they got them so shiny and she told me they use a stronger polish then what they supply. She wrote "Goddards" down on a paper and passed it to me. I have since bought the product and my Fiancé and I couldn't be any more happy. This "foam" (more like a paste), is so easy to apply and you can easily clean your silver with the sponge inside and a toothbrush if needed. I would highly recommend this polish to anyone looking for a great shine in all their silver.

I am so happy with this product
I am so happy with this product! I have since cleaned many pieces of (darkened, unworn for years) silver jewelry and the results have been fantastic. I only wish that I had taken more before photos! I've cleaned some Tiffany silver jewelry for my mom in law and while I don't have any photos posted here, they have come out very bright, shiny and new-looking. I've included some before photos, and for the blue ring, it was a charcoal gray before I cleaned it up. This is the best $6.50-ish I've ever spent, and while I've never used the liquid dip version of this product, I'm very happy with this one. Product texture is similar to a very soft paste, and the use of the included foam sponge is helpful. I've already ripped bits of the foam sponge while cleaning some rings, but I think I can easily find a foam sponge to replace it. Mind you, for darker pieces some scrubbing will be necessary, but it's so worth it when you're done!

Works Great
1st picture is before any treatment. 2nd picture is after the Goddard's Dip. 3rd picture is after this product - the Goddard's Polish Foam. I used Goddard's Dip prior to using this Goddard's Polish Foam. This product had no off-putting odor and really did take it up a notch from the initial, instant tarnish removal that the Dip provided - a visible improvement. Even though I used a two-product process, it really did an excellent job at tarnish removal and it took hardly any time - including the time to wash/dry the silver after each treatment. Altogether I am pleased with this product and would purchase again.

Gentle enough for antique plating, strong enough to take off tarnish
This was exactly what I needed. I needed to polish an entire set that was heavily tarnished. I started each piece by following the instructions. This would work for regular polishing, however. This was DECADES of tarnish. I then used it dry with a paper towel being very careful as I did not want to remove the plating. After a minute or so of visible progress I would go over it with the wet sponge and use as directed. I even used polishing tips on the lowest speed on my dremel for the intricate places. I would never recommend this but it worked wonderfully and I did not damage anything. Could not be happier

WORKS GREAT - EASY TO USE AND REMOVES TARNISH RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES
I just followed the instructions and applied some to a moist sponge. Work it around with some force and you'll see the tarnish disappear as you go. For some of the harder to reach areas, try using a small soft toothbrush or something similar. The product has to not only be able to get to the area, but you have to be able to scrub it, to remove the tarnish. My picture shows a 2-tier tray, one tray having just been polished and the other about to be.
