Magic. Simply magic.
This stuff is everything you are hoping it is. 1:Dip (or wipe) 2:rinse 3:done I had a badly tarnished snake chain, I had tried it in those jars of cleaner with the little basket. Did basically nothing. Today, Tarnx arrived. I dipped it in a small little sauce cup with a few table spoons of this stuff. What went in blackened came out gleaming silver. Instantly. Like a commercial. I dropped the whole chain in and put the lid on the little bowl and gave it a shake to cover everything. And that’s all it took. Seriously. Pulled it out, rinsed it off, and dried it. It looks new. You have to rinse, or wash it after, as the stuff smells oddly like organic rot, pungent, kinda sweet and sour. Also willing to bet it’s mildly corrosive. It’s odd smelling, you don’t want it on you. I didn’t have gloves so I used chopsticks or tongs. The package says DO NOT SOAK over two minutes. Take that as gospel. Plus if you need more I’d just go at with with qtips with the solution on it.

It works!!!
Amazing! I just purchased this item last week and used it today on some old silver and silver-plated dishes. I was very skeptical but it really really works!

Great stuff
This is hard to find in stores anymore, very glad to get it from Amazon. Was a little nervous about it spilling in shipping but it arrived just fine. TarnX is a fantastic product but there are a few things you must know: 1. Wear gloves (like rubber kitchen gloves or procedure gloves) when using; this can penetrate skin and is cancerous. If you do get it on your skin, rinse right away. DO NOT INHALE fumes directly, as this could also be harmful. 2. This takes less than 3 seconds on the clock to remove tarnish, then you'll want to rinse in cool running water and dry the item right away. 3. DO NOT USE ON SILVER PLATE, no matter what the bottle says. It can damage the plating and you'll ruin your piece. Not sure how to tell if your piece is plated or solid? Lol me, neither - Google that! But don't proceed until you know.

This stuff works!
I make a lot of silver jewelry and I have tried so many silver cleaning products it's ridiculous. Up until Tarn-X, the best I found was a DIY of "foil, baking soda, and boiling water, it stunk something awful but did remove some of the tarnish. I can't tell you how happy I am that I tried Tarn-X, it is the last silver tarnish remover I will ever need to buy (and it's a heck of a lot easier than the DIY version). I have a feeling I will placing an order again very soon. Thank you! Five stars for the product but only 3 for the scent.

Fast forward 2 days and a little bit of tedious scrubbing and it's saved
Omg you guys. This stuff saved my very expensive bracelet. It got real messed up in a hot tub and I thought it was ruined forever. Fast forward 2 days and a little bit of tedious scrubbing and it's saved! Pics don't do it enough justice for how shiny it is after the cleaning. First pic is before, second pic is after.

You're golden - literally!
Okay, you found a gem in this product. OMG. So simple to use, just wear gloves, make sure you don't leave it on too long, rinse off completely and you're golden - literally! I shined my gold-plated antique 1924 saxophone with this. I've been hesitant to apply ANY type of polish or tarnish remover to a irreplaceable item. It has a shiny gold plate in the engraving/bell area, and matt gold finish on the rest of the horn... so I wasn't sure how each would react (don't remove the gold!). Regular cleaning with warm soapy water just didn't do anything. My saxophone was so tarnished I doubt it's been touched in over 30-40 years and had some areas of black build up. First remove dust (simple wash and dry), then I use a cotton ball dipped in Tarn-x to apply to the tarnished areas and it IMMEDIATELY starts removing the bad stuff. For very bad areas I'll rub the cotton for only about 10-15 seconds and it takes care of it. Immediately go over the area with a cotton ball soaked in water, then dry. Do the water-soaked cotton ball again and dry thoroughly again just to make sure I get any residue off and... Ta-Da! The instructions say not to use on lacquered items, but my key cups (the parts that cover the holes in the sax) are gold-lacquered, not gold-plated, but I gently applied Tarn-x to these too and it removed the tarnish and didn't seem to harm the finish at all. I just did it in small areas to test, then make sure I immediately rinse and dry. Can't say enough about this product. See my before and after pictures.

My Sterling is beautiful again!!!
Best Ever JEWELRY cleaner, as well as for other silver pieces. I threw out the solution that was in a jar with basket....that didn't work well, even with soaking....and filled it with Tarn-X. One fast dip and the piece is back to it's sparkling self! No fear of leaving the piece in the cleaner too long because it's not necessary to leave it in AT ALL! Before I had the jar, I would pour a little into the cap, then return to bottle....lasted years.

Too strong for
First time buyer. First time user! It’s strong, and you need gloves, stinks, and to be honest ...I didn’t imagine totally ruining the third item I attempted to clean. A beautiful pendant that I owned needed cleaned from oxidation and brightened to be worn. it’s been cleaned several before by another product. It was a marked 925 sterling silver (black as coal from being in a jewel box) and ....now it is no longer black but it is a dull (impossible to be shiny again) finish. And I wanted to cry!

Go-to Product
My go-to product for precious metals and appropriate gemstone cleaning. I keep a small tupperware bowl in the restroom, just big enough for my bangles to sit in and dip and rinse when needed. I can re-use over and over for a long time. Then dry and with some pieces I buff a little with polishing cloth...but not really necessary. I have been using for over 20 yrs.

Simply....this stuff works!!!
I have several pieces of pure silver jewelry that are Hawaiian family heirlooms (a 40mm Hawaiian Royal Coat of Arms Pendant from 1915) that has very intricate details. Creams wouldn't work because they would get stuck in all of the details, so I had to try a dig like Tarn-X. It worked like a charm, but you need to make sure you follow the directions carefully. I washed the pendant in warm soap and water, dried it, dipped it in a shallow bowl for a few seconds, flipped it, and rinsed it off with warm water. I used a lint-free towel, q-tips, and a cool blowdryer to dry the water quickly...and BOOM! It looked like it had just come out of the mold in 1915. The only pain is using the product for intricate pieces of jewelry because you have to rinse it off and dry it quickly. Just take your time and try a blow dryer on warm/cool to dry your jewelry. I also used Tarn-X on a 5mm silver rope chain and it worked like a charm and the blow dryer had it dry within 1 min. I will definitely use this stuff going forward!
