Excellent, sturdy, inexpensive!
Using these on hardwood floors (with the included rubber feet) with Pioneer SP-BS21-LR bookshelf speakers. Dimensions (W x H x D): 7-1/8” x 12-5/8” x 8-1/16”, Weight (each): 8.5 lbs. These speakers make the stands a little top-heavy, but there would need to be a deliberate hit to knock them over. They do not come with carpet spikes. These stands CANNOT BE BEAT for $40. I am clamping my speaker front to back (8") since the cabinet is curved on the sides. The stand has room to expand further (I forget the max dimension). They use a screw to compress the clamp against the speaker, so it gets as tight as you want. I cannot imagine needing to screw the speaker to the stand. I used the foam pads and clamped the speakers and can pick up the stands by lifting by the speaker only. Also, I love the top plate adjustment of +/- 10deg in any direction. Rotate your speaker, set the angle (I placed my smartphone on top to get exact measurements), and enjoy! I had no troubles hiding my wires either as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Simply push the wire up from the bottom, and out the hole on the side of the support at the top! These are not fancy showpieces, but they are not eyesores either. Highly recommended!

Adds a finish look to your system.
PROS You can adjust the height to 47 Inches Max The speaker mount can be angled and pivoted Best suited for box type speakers for best weight support. 5 to 11 inch widths Speaker wire can be fed through stand adjustable rod. 4 adjustable feet at base to suit needs Painted in a black finish to match many home theaters. They have a nice sturdy appearance/ Finish. Simple to piece together CONS Plastic neck below mount base does not fit snugly Once speaker is mounted, Angle cannot be altered. Adjustment for speaker mount to change the degree of angle is a bit cumbersome. You must make your final adjustment before you mount the speaker, best attained by using a carpenters level. The Speakers stands look really nice and complete your home theater system. Use latex gloves to keep the finish clean during assembly for the No oily finger print finish. Recommended

Excellent product that will hold your speakers.
Easy assembly as long as you're careful. They are a bit top-heavy with the speakers attached but that's easily remedied with canopy weights at the bottom (also from amazon)Quik Shade Canopy Weight Plate Set. They hold my Klipsch R15M speakers with no problem. The foam pads grip strongly. I turned the stand upside down and shook it. The speaker would not come out of the grip. Care should be taken to center the speaker in clamp and on the stand. I've just ordered more of them for the rear speakers (also R15's) and for my lanai (R14's and Infinity's). These stands are really good... not just for the price. They are really good. I've seen some not so great reviews but most had to do with the top-heave part (fixed with the weights) and a few with defective parts. All of the parts were present and all fit. I'd imagine that some folks used power drivers for the screws which could and will over tighten them and may cause them to fail. Cord management is good just remember to attach the banana plugs AFTER you run the wire through the base and out the top.

So So Looks but Great Performance
They're not the prettiest thing in the world, but they hold my speakers securely and don't seem like they're going to fall over if I breathe on them. They're currently holding my rather heavy and expensive energy cb20s and doing a fantastic job of it.

Work great especially for the price
I have the larger Onkyo Atmos speakers on these, 17.5" tall, 6.5" square. They work great. The feet *are* adjustable, contrary to another reviewer's statement - they screw in, so you can screw them more, or less, to get them balanced. I know some people gave these low stars because if you bump or push at a speaker, it'll fall. Technically that can happen with them sitting on the floor too, or table, shelf, etc... I don't see the potential for something being tipped over if hit as a reason to drop a star, since that's simple physics. If you have speakers that are that big and heavy, they need to be put on something better designed to hold them. For their intended purposes and speaker size, these work and look great. Hollow, so you can run the wires up and through. The only complaint I have is that they should've had a "ramp" in that hollow shaft so the wires will come to the surface when you push them in there. As it is, it's a narrow notch, I couldn't even easily get a needle nose inside there to pull them out. So it took a bit of work. They tighten up well, and it's easy to adjust the height. For the price, I can't believe them. I have a pair of stands for the smaller bookshelf speakers I used to use that cost just ten bucks less than these, and were a fraction of the size and capability. Keep expectations realistic, and you can't beat these for this cost.

Great surround sound speaker stands
Great speaker stands overall. What I liked is that these are height adjustable unlike some others. I am using these for my pair of surround sound rear Klipsch R-15M speakers behind the couch. Just take your time and be patient. I recommend doing the opposite of how it says to string the wire. If you string the wire from the top out through the bottom you can't because it gets stuck inside on the lip at the bottom when you're about to make it all the way through. String the wire from the bottom to the top and pull it out (might need something to grab it like little tweezers) so that way when you get your heavy speaker on you don't have to mess with the wire, it's already strung through and you just connect it to the speaker. This speaker stand is not sturdy on it's own. I have these stands behind my couch for the surround speakers so it will not be bumped or touched, but it needs weights so that it is stable. I bought the "US Weight Tailgater Canopy Weights – 20 lb" to use for weights US Weight Tailgater Canopy Weights - 20 lb It comes with four 5 pound weights so you can wrap 2 of them around each speaker stand pole. If you are putting it in an area with more traffic it would probably be better to get the 30 pound option. I recommend tightening all the screws that allow the top of the stand to move before you put the speakers on especially the one in the center otherwise it will not be stable and move slightly. Once you finally get the speakers on both stands and all set up, if you put force and try to move the speakers on the top they will move just very slightly which is probably a good thing, you don't want it too tight in place. It might not be perfectly level but it's good enough. Just make sure all screws are tightened so that it's as stable as you can get it. Once in place and all set up and stable, do not be paranoid and do not keep touching it and messing with the screws because you might mess it up or weaken in. I get so paranoid thinking they won't hold, or that I didn't do something right and that I should make adjustments but that will just do more harm than good. Do not overthink it and do not keep adjusting it over and over and over. Just get it so it looks pretty good and don't think about it again. The best thing is that these are pretty cheap at around $40 I can buy again in the future if I need to, but since these are behind the couch I think they will last.

Worked exactly as expected.
Worked exactly as I expected. Hardware was loose in the box... but all there. Had a couple small scratches but turned those tward the wall and never see them. Had no trouble mounting speakers. Speakers are Sony bookshelf speakers... flat bottom, wires in back, weigh about 8 pounds. Held them up just fine. Didn't have to drill bottom out like the others. Hole was already open. Looks good and works great,

Another great product from VideoSecu
(Review written by item recipient, not by above account holder name) These are great speaker stands for the price, I now own 3 pairs and a few of their TV/Monitor mounts. I only trust VideoSecu to hold my A/V equipment now. Pros: •Easily adjustable height and tilt •Rubber feet for partial dampening of vibrations •Speaker wire can be fed through the pole •Sleek black design, arrives well packaged and protected from scratches. •Includes some self-adhesive foam padding strips for additional dampening or scratch protection •Feet can be removed, along with the screw in order to screw/bolt it down to a floor or even ceiling mount them. •Adjustable speaker width clamps can clamp tight enough with some rubber in order to hold speakers without needing to screw into the speaker Cons: •Clamps feel a little loose when initially tightening them, but seem sturdy enough once both sides are clamped to the speaker. •I feel the clamps should be taller, or an additional accessory provided to extend them higher for more secure screw-less clamping. •Stand is too easy to tip over, especially if fully extended, I wouldn't call these "Heavy Duty" if in high traffic areas. Though perhaps this isn't a con in some installations requiring a smaller footprint •Feet could perhaps use some better vibration dampening similar to some subwoofer feet - in fact you probably could install subwoofer vibration dampening feet onto these. Other thoughts: I recommend using some velcro or screwing/bolting the base to the floor unless you're sure they won't get bumped too hard and tip over. Also, these work GREAT as ceiling mounts - and it saved floor space! (Just watch your head), I used toggle bolts through the feet to hang from a drywall ceiling but they could be screwed directly into beams too. As for mounting the speakers, if you're really against screwing into the speakers just buy some low profile self-adhesive rubber strips or rubber feet to help the side clamps grip to a speaker. You could even extend it up a bit higher using some brackets of some sort screwed into either sides of the clamping mounts.

Good for the price
Let's not kid ourselves here, these aren't high quality stands. What they are however, is a bargain. For $40 shipped, nothing else even comes close. I wouldn't recommend putting anything huge on them as the base isn't very large and when sitting on carpet at their maximum height, it's very easy to tip them over. For smaller bookshelves like the Micca MB42x's I've got on them however, they're perfect. The ability to tilt down at a 10 degree angle is great too. If you're looking for some cheap but highly adjustable stands for smaller speakers, look no further.

Great! Used them with a pair of Sonos 3s.
For the price these are great. They seem solid and extend to a good height if you need them to. I doubt these were intended to be used with the Sonos 3, but that's why I bought them (to go above the back of a sectional couch where normal stands like this won't go high enough). If that's why you're buying them I have a couple pieces of information. The slot to keep the cord from being visible isn't large enough for the power cable. Like I said though I'm pretty sure these weren't intended for the Sonos 3. Also, if you're like me you probably want to keep your Sonos products in great shape, so because I didn't want to just clamp the speaker into the metal mount I used some adhesive felt strips on either side of the mount and then got the speakers locked in that way. I mean, you don't have to do that, but I didn't want to risk scratching anything, plus it feels a bit more stable on there to have the felt strips locking the speakers in. You could mount it like I did, or turn the Play 3 on its side and do it that way (I just didn't like that). Just to reiterate, these mounts were most likely not intended for how I used them, so if you do what I did any risk is on you. That said I think they're awesome.
