The width of this mat (4 feet) is perfect for my 17 RAM 1500, short bed with RAMBOX. You can see I rolled up the excess material instead of trimming it but if you opt to trim it you would need adequate cutting tools since this rubber material is fairly thick and standard scissors will not do the trick. I’m satisfied with the quality of this product and I believe it will hold up well for my needs. Lastly, the shipping was less than 2 days using the standard 5 to 8 days shipping option so I’m very pleased with the quick delivery.

Perfect Protection - 😊👍

I was redoing our aging 4' x 8' John Deere utility trailer. I replaced all the wood. I put on new tread with new tubes. I sanded and repainted the frame and the wood with JD green. Then I starting worrying about messing up the floor whenever I would throw firewood inside. So I decided to order the Dee Zee DZ85005 Universal Heavyweight Bed Mat to protect the new plywood floor. I had to trim a little bit off with a sharp utility knife but in the end, the headache was worth it. Now I don't need to worry when I toss wood in it. Top quality bed mat

I bought this to have a 48" x 96" bed mat that I trimmed down to 48" x 79" to use in my SUV. Standard full size pickup beds have 48" between the wheel wells and so this mat is a good universal bed mat. It is thick and very tough (as I found when cutting across and through the mat to shorten it) and has raised beads on the bottom to keep it in place. I wish that the manufacturer had not made such a large logo impression in the center of the mat as this makes for a section that is not as grippy for whatver is on top of the mat. There are bed mats that are 30-50 percent thicker and they also cost 30-50 percent more. For my use of the mat in the back of my SUV with the second and third row seats folded down, the thickness is perfect. It reduces the weight of the mat and makes it much easier to remove when not needed or when vacuuming inside the vehicle.

Heavy Duty

I have a leased truck and I have to return it or purchase it in 2 1/2 years. I need to keep the wear and tear down to a minimum, and now that I am doing carpentry I needed a thick mat to protect the bed for the duration of the lease. I priced out one custom fit mat for over $300.00. This one is larger than the bed of my 2020 Toyota Tacoma, so i have extra to make one for the drop down gate. I had to trim the wheel wells down by about 2 inches, and this was done with a few passes using a sharp utility knife. I see this holding up very nicely since it is so thick and of good quality material. For the price and quality, I highly recommend this product.

Good Quality, Trim to Fit

Nice thick mat to protect a wood bed in antique step-side truck. Roll it out when need it, roll it up and wrap a bungee around it and store it when not needed. Allows me to actually use the bed and not scratch the wood. Used aviation snips to trim. Could probably use a sharp utility knife and some patience; it's pretty thick. This also adds some weight to it which has it pluses and minuses. Great for protection of the truck bed. Bad in that it may take an extra person to help you roll it out/put it away.

Cheaper alternative.

This thing is truly heavy duty as advertised. After it was delivered I unrolled it and left it laying flat out in my back patio for a week. The heat from the sun helped straightened out the ends that were kind of curled from shipping and the week of airing out really cut down on the heavy rubber smell, it’s not bad anymore and I imagine will go away with more time. I have a large cargo van so the mat fit fine inside with enough length for me to cut and use as a mat in front of the passenger bench. It doesn’t cover the entire floor like a fitted one would but at a fraction of the cost this mat will do the job. After installing flooring in my van it ended up nicer than I thought so I really just wanted something to protect my new laminate floor from loading, hauling, dirt and oil from my bikes and motorcycles. It’ll be nice and easy to pull out and hose down when it gets dirty from usage. I am completely satisfied with the product and shipping.

Great cut-to-fit mat; heavy-duty and durable!

Since I couldn't find a custom bed liner for my old '83 Isuzu pickup, I ordered this mat and wasn't disappointed. The mat is a very heavy duty, thick rubber mat and after trimming the length to fit my truck bed, I then cut out the left side to go around the wheel well while butting the right edge against the inside of the right wheel well. The leftover piece from the length of the mat was cut to fill in the front and rear area surrounding the right side wheel well (I used Permatex Ultra Black silicone adhesive to glue them together and now the mat is like a custom, one-piece mat for my truck.) I'm extremely pleased with the results and the cost of this mat is probably a third of what you'd pay for a custom fit bed mat.

Works great. Nice and thick

I used this in the back of a small van to keep the load from sliding around. Works great. Nice and thick, so it doesn't move around with no load. Update Dec 2016: The rubber smell that some other reviewers mentioned is strong at first, but does go away. This mat is great if you want a non-skid surface. I have bought 8 of these and they is some inconsistency in the finish and the width has always been a fraction over 4 feet. For the price it is a great mat for a work truck or van. Our vans are short enough that I have enough material left over to make heavy duty floor mats for the front after I cut to length. I trim the mat as needed with a uitlity knife.

Tough, well made and does the job!

We use Ford Explorers on our farm to deliver fresh vegetables. It is impossible to keep dirt and moisture from soaking into carpeting and seats. Our solution was these Dee Zee bed mats. They are incredibly tough and the design keeps the vast amount of dirt and water on the mat and off the trucks upholstery. The 6 1/2 foot long mat fits perfectly in the back of our Explorers without having to cut the length at all. We also use them in the bed of our John Deere Gators to protect the metal finish on the floor of the bed. For the Gators, we do have to cut them with a very sharp blade to shorten the length, but the width is perfect.

Great mat to protect the floor of your late model Dodge grand Caravan

I have a 2015 Dodge grand Caravan that hauls as much stuff as it does people. The passenger seats are folded into the floor most of the time. I was looking for something to protect the van floor and seat backs when the seats were folded down. This mat is great. It fits great without trimming, is thick, provides ample protection and the ribs keep things from moving around. It does have a big logo in the center... but when you are hauling stuff who really cares??? If you have a $30K minivan and want to protect it invest the $100 and buy this mat. It will out live your van.
