My 5 yr old & 2.75 yr old grandsons love this collapsing bridge. Easily collapsible for little hands to push a button (totally mechanical). They love to ‘dispatch’ firetruck, police car, & equipment to the scene of the collapse. This is not stand alone, must be connected to other sets to complete run.

My grandson loves playing from one end of the room to the other with all of his Brio and his new collapsing bridge just spiced up his play time. Thanks from my grandson and myself. Brio a very creative play toy.

I can’t get over how sturdy this bridge is. It has seen its fair share of toughness from my 4 and 3 years old, but had surprisingly held up perfectly so far. They’ve pushed the button and reconnected the bridge countless times, have tossed the piece roughly into the basket of tracks, and my 2 year old has even attempted to walk across it like a balance beam before I could catch her. No damage! Out of all the train accessories we got our 4 year old for his birthday, this is by far his favorite piece to incorporate in his train track. Highly recommend!

This was my second purchase of this brand for our 3 year old and we are very happy. He actually chose it when I showed him different train bridges. The bridge is tall enough for trains with big wheels to fit underneath. With the push of a button it splits open (collapsing). Very easy for a 3 year old to put back together. My son loves to pretend the bridge collapses and sends a construction guy (mini figure) to fix it. Its pretty sturdy for rough little hands. It comes with the two wooden rails on the side and they do fit IKEA and thomas the train wooden rails ( as many others in the market). It does look pretty bulky on a train table but it makes look the train set looks complete. My 3 year old loves playing with it and so far it seems like it will last quite a long time.

I have two little nephews who love to play with the Brio wooden train set I have. As soon as I saw this collapsing bridge, I knew it would be a hit with them. I told them I had bought a new bridge for the train set, but downplayed it as nothing special. The trains go across the bridge, and you can run track underneath it. Let's just say it didn't take them very long to discover the little red button, and what it did to the bridge when you pushed it. I had also just bought several six packs of the red stacking supports, and built a pretty elaborate "4-level interchange" with them. I thought it was pretty cool, but all the boys wanted to do was create train wrecks with this bridge. Oh well, boys will be boys...

My son is 18 months. He can play with the bridge and trains for around an hour. He pushes the button and resets the bridge by himself. We keep a close watch on him and he really enjoys himself. It's neat that my 30 year old brio set is compatible with the bridge and old trains.

We needed a bridge that a track could easily go underneath. This fit the bill and my almost 4 year old really gets a kick out of the collapsing feature.

This was part of my 2 year old’s birthday gift which was a train set, and it’s his favorite part. He loves pressing the button and making the bridge collapse, and then putting it back together again.

This bridge is solid and works perfectly as advertised. I was suspicious about how flimsy/loose/durable the moving parts of this would be, but I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality. This has definitely surpassed my expectations. And my 3 yr old son enjoys waiting for the motorized train to come along so he can push the button to wreck the train. Then he cracks up and puts the train back on the track. Great toy for a 3 year old! I highly recommend this addition to any train set.

Grandson's must have piece in every train layout he sets up. I'm not quite sure what those trains ever did to him or whether we should be worried at the look of absolute joy on his face as they tumble to their untimely ends. Simple mechanism is easy for little hands to work and saves his sister's Littlest Pet Shop setup from the destruction that is an evident requirement of three year old fun.
