Best bottles on the market! Wish I had started using them sooner! It was between these and Dr. Brown's since they both fit my Medela breast pump. I chose Dr. Brown's in the beginning because of the ad for decreasing air and fussiness. I saw no difference in my little one when I switched, just really happy about not having to clean as many parts and NO leaks!! Dr. Brown's bottles were leaking something fierce, which was frustrating not only because it made a mess but also because a breastfeeding working mom HATES to see breastmilk wasted! I'm sure all mom's do for that matter, formula is expensive!

One of the best things about medela bottles is that they have minimal pieces which make it easy to clean, and that the breast pump is one of the best on the market and the bottles fit right on. This is my second child and I never used medela with my first, which not only made a lot more work for myself but I never gave it a shot and really should have. My exclusively breastfed baby took to the medela bottles easily, and struggled with a more expensive and breastfed baby driven brand. I have tons of different kinds of bottles after my first child, but I only use these with my second.

Our baby was getting bigger and the amount of milk she needed was hardly fitting in the 5oz bottles anymore. Hence, our need for these bottles! She is very picky and loves these bottles and nipple forms. I did buy the slow flow nipple for 0-4month as she breastfeeds too and isn't use to a faster flow. Just be aware these nipple flows are for older babies and/or formula/exclusively bottle fed. No complaint as it was my fault for not paying attention to that but again I needed extra nipples so it really wasn't an issue! These are great bottles & totally worth the buy if you need a bigger quantity of milk for each meal time! I strongly suggest them! If your baby has gas issues these may not be the bottles for them though, as they do not have any special ventilation system.

We used Medela bottles for both of our sons, and both times, we tried switching to other bottles to try to alleviate their gas pain. In short, it never worked and both times we found ourselves coming back to the Medela bottles--and what do you know, both times, their gas gradually subsided anyway. I think we were comforting ourselves by trying whatever we could to help our little ones feel better, but in the end, we should have stuck with the Medela and saved money. They are definitely the best bottles we've used.

As a first time nursing mother I was having a difficult time with my son taking a bottle. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on different types of bottle and nothing was working. I was getting a bit frustrated and overwhelmed because he would down right refuse any bottle I put in his mouth. I tried different bottles, different nipples, bottles that looked like a breast, and nothing seemed to work! I was ready to pull my hair out trying to figure out what I was going to do when I went back to work. My son would have to take a bottle in order to eat or go hungry and that really bothered me. I began to think of all my options and I remembered that my Medela breast pump came with four bottles and one nipple. One week before I went back to work I tried the Medela bottle and..............VOLIÀ.........he drank every last drop. I'm not to sure what it was about that bottle and nipple but he didn't fight it one bit!! These bottles are great and it is nice to have a few extra nipples and caps for each bottle. The bottles are 8 ounce bottles however, I pump in them and I can pump about 10 ounces in each bottle. The bottle is very full at that point but it is nice to know that a bit more than 8 ounces will fit in the bottle. I recommend these bottles to any nursing mother or any mother trying to find the right bottle for her little one.

UPDATE: I called amazon about the missing part, and they shipped a whole new set to me! I love amazon customer service! This product is what you would expect of Medela, except that the package that was shipped to me was missing 1 nipple cover. Two of the three bottles were perfect, while the third had an exposed nipple with no cover. I've sterilized everything and am not going to bother with sending it back since I need these bottles immediately for daycare. However, it'd be nice of someone could read this review and send the missing part.

I purchased these about a month ago and they are perfect! I pump about 16-20 oz. Every 6-8 hours. The problem with the 5 oz. bottles is that I would have to stop pumping to either get another pair of 5 oz. bottles or store what I had pumped to continue. The 1st 10 oz of milk was foremilk and the 2nd was hindmilk. It was hard to get a good mixture of milk. These bottles allow me to do a full pumping session and mixes the milk all together. I tried the nipples provided for one feeding and did not like it. When my son would take a breath, a bunch of air bubbles entered the bottle and seemed like he sucked in too much air. We always use the drop liners with playtex bottles and air is not an issue with that. I did not purchase this for the nipple attachment, but for the bottle size and am very pleased. Another benefit is the dark numbering. It is very easy to see. I bought another set of 8 oz. bottles that came with 6 but the numbering is part of the bottle and difficult to read. For the convenience, still 5 stars.

I've looked at other bottles and received other brands as gifts, etc. My FAVORITE feature is the markings are absolutely clear and easy to read. Both ounces and milliliters are marked on the same side of the bottle. Trust me, when you're feeding a very anxious (read crying) baby - you want to be able to fill the bottle quickly. I only wish I could buy just the bottles as we use the Enfamil Soft Nipples with these instead of the silicone ones with which they are shipped. The covers they come with are handy as well for storing bottles in the fridge or keeping an unused milk from spilling after feeding while we're on the go (for an hour or less of course!). I love the shape of these bottles. They widen at the top so these are a bit shorter then the Doc Brown bottles we received. They're just easier to handle than those longer bottles.

Went back to work and immediately had to rethink my pumping plan. Transferring into baggies in the office is such a pain. pump and just screw a cap on. Then when I get home I switch it out for the nipple and we are good to go. Baby takes bottle well and no issue with excess air, spit up, ect. No need to spend a fortune on another set of bottles.

Great set! Not only did it come with nipple caps but it came with the flat storage caps and a free micro-steam bag that can be used up to 20 times.
