Tested and compared! This is the one!!
I am SO happy I decided to go with this one! I was reading all the reviews on the various versions of this type of swimming floater as well as reviews on this particular one. After several days I decided to go with this one and I LOVE it and so does my son! Set up was super easy and I was able to inflate it with ease. I read in some reviews that people said it can tip when the baby reaches for the octopus… First, I would never leave my baby unattended in the pool EVER! Second, when my baby would reach for the octopus, it would help him to sit upright better. One thing you have to look out for is there were times when he would push up with both arms, pushing him up and to one direction while floating. He only did this a couple times when he would get bored but I just stopped him and diverted his attention back to something else. The cover stays up perfectly in the upright position and sits well in the reclined position. My baby is 8 ½ months and 23 pounds and this fits him quite well. I hope this helps! I had the opportunity to try out my friends floater which was similar to this but different. The shade thing on hers didn't stay up and the water came up too high. This one by far is the best!I will answer any questions you have!

Would never go to the beach without it
Would never go to the beach without it. My husband and I were so grateful that we bought this before our trip to Hawaii. Our son was six months old and was very familiar with swimming in the pool but with waves it would’ve been totally different. This was awesome. He would float on the top and just kind of ride the waves, even bigger ones, even when it got deep, we felt very safe with our son like this as opposed to in our arms.

Safe pool floatie with great shade

Great quality
This floatie is so cute and made with great quality! The main piece and the canopy are a fabric type material-- not plastic, like most floaties are, so it's safe to say it will last a long time (the octopus is plastic). It was a little difficult to blow up; you really have to squeeze the valve and the size of the floatie and position of the valve just means the floatie and your hands are pretty much in your face the whole time you are inflating it. I got this for our 4 month old daughter to use in the pool. She is a solid size 6 months and is 29 inches tall, but the seat is pretty roomy and I had to keep adjusting her to make sure she wasn't leaning forward into the water. Other than that, it was great and my 3 year old kept asking to use it too because of how fun it looked!

My little guy loved it!
We used this for our 5 month old son's first experience in the water and he had a blast! He was 18 pounds at 5 months and it was just a little too deep for him to chill by himself, but I wouldn't leave a 5 month old to float around the pool on their own anyway... At 6 months he's 20 pounds and fits perfectly

PERFECT FOR 2.5 MONTH OLD!!
We were going to Florida for our sons first Christmas at 2 and a half months old and wanted to have him swim in the pool with us. We looked at all the reviews and were worried about the age limits. He weighs about 14 lbs and we had to hold in from underneath and from behind but the floatie was perfect for him! He could hold his head up and even lean forward. The sun shade protected him from the wind and he genuinely had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to use this with a child of any age provided you have plenty of adult supervision and support him both behind the back and under the bum.

My 3 Month Old Loves It
This float is perfect and my daughter loves it! Even though it states it's for 9 months and up, I purchased this for my 3 month old to use while we are at our lake camp. And she enjoys it very much. She is able to lay back and float around, with us holding on to the float at all times of course. This toy is wonderful for getting her acclimated to the concept of floating/swimming. She is all smiles as she lays back and kicks her feet. I love that it has two inflated rings, which makes the float very stable. Because of how she lays in it, we have not used the toys as she cannot reach them. Also, to make sure we have unrestricted access to her, we haven't use the canopy either. However, as she grows up, I believe we will use both the toys and canopy. We plan on using this many times in the future, both at the lake and in the pool.

So much fun!
Amazing!!! Using it for my 4 month old. He's always been super strong and has been sitting on his own for a minute or two at a time. Before we used it in the pool we sat him on top of the seat area and he loved it! He could balance perfectly with the support and play with the toys. In the pool he was more leaned back but could also lean forward to play with the toys. The puffer fish squeaks & they all float. The shader was amazing & snaps into place. He also took a nap on it outside the pool. Perfect!!

Perfect for my 8 month old at the pool, beach, or off a boat!
My 8 month old is thrilled with this float, and her sun-sensitive mama is thrilled with the canopy. This float comes nicely bundled in an easy-to-carry travel bag with a strap, and folds out into three quick pieces: the canopy (connects with study snaps), the float itself (takes 30 seconds to blow up both air chambers) and the removable octopus entertainment center/toys. It took me a few minutes to deflate and fold it all back up, but the ease of use is fantastic. My daughter sits in the netting chair happily, splashing her hands in the water, and occasionally tries to dip her face down to taste whatever body of water she's floating in - ew ;) She kicks her legs vigorously, and has gotten significantly more comfortable in the water over the first couple times we've used this float. At 8 months, 18 lbs, this fits her perfectly - but I think she'll get a lot of use out of it. Highly recommended!!
