This is commercial grade and I'm glad I bought it. My trailer tires run 80-90 psi and this unit gets it there fairly quickly. Its common to grab it and refill a leaking trailer tire. Keep the motor running as it does draw amps but is far and away better than any other hobby style compressor. There is not a cig lighter plug as it would probably pop that fuse quickly. Clips direct to battery and the leads could be longer but its still 5 star in my book. Rugged carry case also.

Everything about the compressor is high quality. It airs up 35" tires in no time. You can't put it back in the bag when you are done as it needs to cool off a bit as it gets hot (by design). Its much faster than the single piston ARB setup and I'm done before others with an on board air setup. The only thing that would be better is a diverter valve to take accurate pressure readings with the gauge as it runs much higher while inflating. You need another gauge to test how much pressure is in the tire.

This air compressor is amazing. Use it regularly to air up my tires at the beach, I have 32" mud terrain tires and it inflates one of them from 20psi to 45 psi in about 2.5 minuets! Takes me about 15 min to inflate all 4 and get back on the road. Also comes with a handy carry bag and accessories, gauge is surprisingly well made and works like a charm. The unit does get rather hot but I haven't even pushed it past half of its duty cycle and it powers through like no other portable compressor Ive used. I have a lot of people ask me where to get one and what model it is, you will never need to worry about filling up your tire on the go again.

Inflates 4 37's from 10 to 35 in roughly 35 mins without stopping or setting itself on fire. Would recommend. Gauge gave up after the first pump up. I think the needle skipped the 0 stop and unwound. Not sure. But it's certainly not accurate now.

I've now used this several times after a day of running trails in my jeep... makes airing back up simple and fast. In fact, it takes longer waiting for the compressor to cool down in order to put it away than it does to fill up four 35 inch tires. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a compact compressor.

Very pleased. Bought one for my brother in law. He's a city person who bought a farm to get away from it all. Lots of farm implements, trailers, tractor; lots of tires always flat with no portable means to re-inflate them. I got a call from him this morning and he's absolutely thrilled with the way this compressor performs. It filled his tractor tire in no time at all (relatively, LOL). He says he spent the morning inflating tires because it was so much fun. I don't recall ever getting a response like this to a gift.

I use this to winterize my 30 foot travel trailer. I use the camper mainly in the winter, and have to winterize it after each trip. I installed a 12 volt waterproof automotive electrical connector near the city water inlet under the camper, and another on the pump. Also, on the air pump I have at the air quick connect a brass T piece, one side goes to a male water hose fitting, and the other to a 50 psi relief valve that will blow if the pressure goes over 50 psi (about $5 on Amazon.) It will blow out my pipes in the camper in about 4 minutes. I cut it off after 2 minutes and run it twice, letting it cool off a few minutes in between, which may not be necessary. I love having this small air compressor instead of having to haul down something that weighs 50 pounds or more to do the job. Search Youtube for this pump and you will see how other people have set this up.

CONVENIENCE! I recently decided that I wanted to start doing some Off-Road/Overland exploration. This newe lifestyle opened my eyes to new things to worry about, and new ways to remedy those worries. The Viair 400P Compressor Kit is a great option for folks who need lots of air on the go. This unit makes easy work of the filling process and gets you back on the road in less than 10 minutes (ex. raising pressure from 15psi up to 40psi). Compact isnt the word I would use to describe this unit, there are other options on the market that are smaller and as effective. The difference between the Viair options and its competitors is price. This setup is at the top of the list for Bang for your Buck. It's small enough to keep in your vehicle 24/7, and powerful enough for most needs. Need to air up a Basketball, or an RV tire, this unit can handle it. I plan to permanently Mount this unit in my 2018 4Runner, it is affordable enough to justify buying a separate unit to each vehicle I own. Minimal assembly required, and simple enough for anyone to use.

This unit rocks! I have not owned it long - I only tested it. I have 33's on the Jeep - it airs up one of those from 15 to 32 pounds in exactly 2 minutes and 15 seconds. It's quiet! It does get hot - You have to let it cool for a bit before putting it back into the carry bag. My only complaint is the inflation/deflation wand is pretty awkward to use - the hands free deflation feature is nice but it's hard to click it off deflate. It's also a bit hard to read the gauge. Here's a tip: the gauge is upstream of the valve. So of course it's not going read true while actually inflating or deflating, due to the pressure drop actross the valve. I found through experimentation that when it reads 39 psi while running that is 32 psi true, and while deflating 9 psi was 15 psi true. I found deflating for 2 min 30 sec took the 33s from 32 to 15 psi. Also, when testing I forgot to start the engine; I aired up three tires and the Jeep still started. Not that I recommend that - just run the engine. All in all a great convenience for airing up and down for the trail.

This little beauty works perfectly for large truck tires. I had a smaller portable compressor to keep in my cars and when I hooked it up to my F250 tires it would not budge the needle towards 60 or 75 PSI as required. Of course most of the air stations you find at gas stations are the same type small compressor inside of a nice little stand and they will not budge it either. I hooked this up to the battery and connected it to the tire and it took it from 60 PSI to 75 PSI in about a minute. It is also extremely quiet compared to the car version that I had. The carry and storage bag is a nice touch and everything fits perfectly. Love it!
