Had to buy this thing because I park on the street. It's fantastic! Now I only wish that it covered the front of my car too. Some reviewers mentioned that it rubs the paint off. Well, no, only of you forget to put it back in the trunk when you drive and especially if you drive on highways. You are not supposed to drive with it out. It really protects my bumper from dents!

I saw one of these on several cars on the road, and thought it was a good idea. I know there are several other companies that offer cheaper prices and slightly different models. I can't say that I am an expert on these bumpers, but I do know from experience that you generally get what you pay for. Other companies might not give you as much coverage and / or give you a solid bumper. I suppose at the end of the day, a bumper protector will do what it says it will do. But here's why I went with Bumper Bully. Even despite the additional shipping cost (for a Prime member like me). 1. I figured that it was better to be proactive in protecting my bumper (on Benz, black). I consider myself to be a generally safe and good driver, but with parallel parking comes scratches. Both from my mistakes and from others'. 2. It seemed well-made, and it was! Solid and thick rubber. I really felt like it covered my bumper well without looking bulky / too much. 3. (This I figured out after purchase) It was easy to install. You have two options: (1) velcro it on the cargo mat of your trunk, or (2) stick it on the side, I think - I don't remember since I used the velcro option. There is even space to cut out some part of it should your license plate be covered. My SUV's plate on the gate, so I did not have to do any cutting. 4. (This was unfounded, I know ... but ... ) The cars on the road that had the Bumper Bully were high-end cars in addition to mid-range cars (Toyotas, BMW, Benz, Acuras, Lexus). So to me, that indicated its practicality and impressiveness of it -- after all, a bumper protector is not sexy-looking. But you want to go with one that works well if you decide to get one, right?

Moved to NYC from west coast, and ppl in NY does not care about your car or even their own cars, so when they street parking, they "hit&run" ! and you can do nothing about it! That is y i bought this bumper protector! You never see it from the west coast cities. and it works , covers 80 percent of my car`s rear bumper.( Infiniti ex35) stays in place, and no problems for all weather conditions. good stuff to buy if you do not want to spend more money to install a steel bumper protector( which I found it is very stupid to do, you can not use it for another car, and you spend more money than this portable protector who serves the same purpose and function. cost only 1/3 price of the steel one)

I live on a busy street where there isn't a lot of parking and people are pretty careless. I purchased this product after I found a scratch on my bumper on my new white car. I was so upset. I bought this and I now park with confidence on the street. I always make sure to park in front of cars though rather than behind. This definitely works. I had it on the other day and the car behind me scratched my bumper bully. Light scratch but if that impact was on my car it would have looked worse and I would have been really upset. I looked under the bumper bully and my car was fine. Don't hesitate to buy this if you feel like you need to protect your car. People are careless sometimes and don't care to hit another car if they want to get into a tight spot. Worth the money.

Pro tip: when parallel parking along a right-side curb, have this thing offset as far as you can left since the back left corner is where you'll often get side swiped by cars pulling in and out of their parallel parking spot. It should be wide enough to reach from the left corner to the center of your bumper, no need at all to cover the right corner of the back bumper as this is pretty much impossible to get dinged up. And be warned that this thing pretty much screams "Hey I'm cool with you hitting my car", you have to make a judgement call on whether that is worth it or not.

The best looking, sturdiest bumper protector on the market. Bumper bully is the gold standard. Better to buy here than the cheaper bumper bully you see in auto stores for $50 that has the red reflectors. Stabilizer with yellow reflectors keeps it straight and flush with bumper. Mount some side bumper strips from places like auto zone and you'll have full rear protection with style not cheese.

This does exactly what it's supposed to do. It hasn't been stolen (to my knowledge no one has attempted to steal this - why is that a thing?) so the "extreme" model has I guess met that expectation. It has certainly saved me a few nicks and bumps on my bumper and I wish I had bought this much sooner. Living in DC, and yes, parking on the street, love taps happen and this makes it a little less painful. My only complaints are 1) Strangers asking me "Do those things really work?" YES. And "what a nifty little device..." etc. I did not purchase this as a conversation starter. 2) It does rub on the top lip of my bumper, which has left small noticeable areas of wear where it sits. My car is a '08 urban daily driver so a little wear is fine - I'm trying to prevent dings and holes that would have my bumper looking like an unfortunate middle schooler's untreated acne.

Item seems high quality, very easy to install. Not sure why I was offered an installation service at checkout (for ~$400) as this item involves using Velcro and the floor of the trunk (which I do not believe necessitates expert involvement). Here's hoping it works well!

Just purchased a second one for my second car. This protected my bumper last month when someone driving a pickup rear ended my parked car. Very convenient, just flip out when parked and flip into trunk when driving. The metal inside the straps deters theft. Highly recommend and will purchase for my additional cars. Instead of buying the highest end bully (platinum edition), I was able to attach some thinner strips of foam pads to the back of the gold edition using superglue which adds protection against bumps. Saves you the extra 20 dollars for the platinum edition.

These are so ugly, but i feel like having this on my car alone is more of a deterrent and people avoid parking super close to my car. Especially with being in the city. Please don't drive around with it, hanging out of your trunk, it's not meant for that and isn't so safe. Installation was super easy too!
