These filters are top of the line for keeping your tank clean and your fish alive. They only work with an Aqueon water filtration system as far as I know. I was paying double the price for these at my local Pet Supplies Plus store, I am so glad I found them on Amazon!

Very happy with these

I was a little weary when I first got our new filter and saw that it takes 2 filter cartridges. I figured this was going to end up costing us way more as with our smaller filter I was changing the cartridge almost weekly. With this one, it has done an amazing job of keeping our tank looking like it has crystal clear water in it. I finally changed the cartridges after about 6 weeks for the first time. We are so happy with this filter and these cartridges! I highly recommend them. We have a 60 gallon aquarium.

Don't replace every month.

You don't need to replace every month. I run the quietflow 55/75 and don't replace until the filter is starting to fall apart or every 3-4 months. These filters are really to clean. You'll need a gravel cleaner with good suction and removable tube. Like the aqueon one that attaches to your sink. With the tube removed put the filter into a bucket of tank water. With the back of the filter facing up, use the hose to suck water through the back of the filter. Keep doing this until the back looks much cleaner and the water going into the hose looks more clear. Use the hose to suck the bottom of your quietflow hob. The other 2-3 blue pieces you should swish around in the bucket of tank water. (NEVER scrub or wipe them) You don't need to replace the carbon, but if you feel that you must then just get a small media bag and a jar of carbon, and put it in the back somewhere.

Hard to wax enthusiastic about aquarium filters. Just nice to get them in bulk at my door rather than have to go to the hassle of finding them on a shelf at a pet store.

You can't get any better than this

Having had my aquarium for a number of years I was skeptical of going from a whisper filter system to a Aqueon system. The price was right-FREE! Friend gave me their three month old tank that they no longer had time for w all the accessories. Three years later I can tell you that the Aqueon has held up very well. Filters are inexpensive,system is quiet and keeps the tank clean! You can't get any better than this!

Great filters, fast shipping. I've used knock off filters before, but they are just poorly made and cheap. These are great. Just remember to change out your filters 1x a week to keep your fish happy and healthy!!

Good Economical filter system for aquariums

I have been using the Aqueon Quietflow 30 filter for nearly four years, and replace my filters every 2 - 4 weeks. I have a 29 gallon wide aquarium and have not had any issues with this system. The filters can cost several dollars each if purchased from the local chain pet store, but the cost at Amazon can save upwards to 50%, occasionally more if purchasing the 12 count box. I recommend these filters, as well as the system to maintain a clean aquarium without going poor at the same time.

I had a Bio Wheel filter for 10 years and finally had to replace it, so after shopping around I chose this one. It has preformed just as well as the Bio Wheel at a much lower price. I am extremely happy with my purchase!

I love the ease to add my favorite Media like the Phosguard, Carbon and Purigen.

Put in Your Purigen, Phosguard and Add more Charcoal or what ever chemical media you want. Simply cut the top sponge or foam across the top and add your favorite media like purigen, Phosguard and carbon, shake to push the media down. Or slip the Purigen bag behind the filter Cartridge. Easy as 1,2.3 No Mess. Unlike Aquaclear you have to bag the media. This one is hassle free.
