I tried to "eyeball" before this Sewing Gauge was in my hand. Now, I cannot work without it, it is so helpful. The hemming is even and any other edges or measurements are also even. What an improvement to an amateur sewing. This helps make sewn products look professionally made.

Quality product
The one I bought at Walmart doesn’t stay on the mark. Have to keep and eye on it to make sure it doesn’t move. This one is perfect!

Perfect sewing gauge!
Time tested! I bought this gauge to replace an identical one that was well over 30 years old, well used and a little bent. The quality appears to still be there and the design still works, without question.

Very sturdy!
I guess it's a little strange to be so impressed by a ruler. I bought this because I use my old sewing gauge all the time, but it's never at the right place when I need it. So I happened to see this newer style, and I bought it to have another one around. I expected it to be flimsier than my much older one that I've had forever. But surprise! It is sturdier! I love it so much, I think I'll buy another one, and then hopefully I will have one at each machine.

Multiple features minor sharp edges
This is also a point turner, which can save you money. “0” is the first line before 1 not the top of the triangle, for people like me who get confused easily. You can do seams with your iron, just beware of the heated metal. The ruler has some unintended semi- sharp edges, so be careful and keep it away from the kids.

Helps with a laborious task
I am not the most precise seamstress on the planet, so I need every little bit of help I can get to have things turn out nicely. Using the ezy-hem gauge helps me to get every part of the hem folded up at the same measurement. You iron right over it so the fabric folds on it and you can measure your hem constantly. You do have to watch your fingers since the metal gets hot. I was working with a type of wool blend that snaps back out of a press easily, so as I took each section off of this hem gauge after pressing, I pinned it. I then sewed a catch stitch hem by hand. This turned out very nice and even. This is a tool I will continue to use.

An important tool for every sewing kit to have.
This is a pretty standard measuring tool that every serious seamstress should have in their kit. I used one just like it for 15+ years, and am just now replacing it after the measurement lines have been worn off from constant use. Checked against other rulers and the measurements are accurate. Slide works smoothly and stays in place well. These little Dritz rulers are a great quality tool!

A necessity for every sewing room
This is one of those sewing notions that every sewist needs to have in their inventory. You can use it to measure hems, to measure to create your own bias tape, to use at the iron to fold over and iron to a specific measurement, and more. Whether you sew clothes or quilts or crafts, this little tool is a necessity!

Hemming made easier
This is the first kind of gauge that I used for sewing many, many moons ago. It is for use in measuring if you going to put a hem in some item you sewing. Also, for used for making a hem in pants. I have many hours of using this kind of gauge.

Dritz EZY Hem Gauge
Purchased as a present for my better half, her old Dritz hem gauge was worn and after 7 years it was time to grab her a shiny new one with legible measures. She's happy with the little surprise. Quality products that last, thank you.
