I love this gray and charcoal pewter color
I love this gray and charcoal pewter color. I also bought the smaller one (18X24) for travel classes. Then I bought another smaller yellow and green reversible one for my sewing table next to me which is also easy to see the measurements on. The colors make it easy to see the numbers, and lines. I threw out all my blue ones. Really like that it has smaller numbers all around, and larger ones at the lines themselves. It is reversible. LOVE the large contrast in the centers for 4", 8" and 12" sizes. Will buy these again when need be.

Love this
Like many quilters, I often do my cutting on the dining room table. Frequently having to adjust my rotary cutting mat, so that I don't go off of it. I was particularly looking for a black mat that was larger in size than the 18x24 mat that I had. I found this mat at such a great price, I had to get it. It's not black but charcoal gray on one side and light gray/tanish on the other offering a good contrast for most fabrics. My rotary cutter works just fine and it helps protect the custom table mat from extended cutting lines.

Easy to use, nice surface
I toiled away using two older, worn mats placed side-by-side that needed replacing years ago and finally chose these, now I wonder why I waited so long. Can't address how long they'll stay pristeen but I'll definitely move them around as "popular" scoring lines get worn to increase longevity. Measuring marks are large and easy to read. Price is reasonable and they shipped flat. There is some outgassing smell but it's not objectionable and is barely noticeable now. The old mats stay on top of these and take the brunt of more rough work, and quickly come off to expose the nicer new ones.

I was a little hesitant to buy this because it wasn't an Olfa. But it works great and the square design in the middle is an added bonus. I didn't think it would be helpful, but it is. Amazon shipped this in a flat box, so it was perfectly straight with zero warping. I'm very happy that I spent less but ended up with a quality mat.

Fiskars ccame to my rescue once again!
Some days you have to limit your spending and I finally found something that worked fantastically for my cutting table. Yes I put 3 of the Fiskars Self Healing Rotary Mats together for a lot less than other well know products. (I used my blue painters tape to make sure they stuck together and it's easy to remove so I can use the other side as well) I've had my other mats by Fiskars for years and love them. Now I'm happy my sewing room is almost complete.! I just need to add few more tables for my sewing machines and expand my use of the sewing. (Very little smell that came off the mats.)

Love it. Works great with no complaints
I have this mat on a desk with my Cricut Explore Air 2 machine. I regularly use it while I'm measuring and cutting paper, vinyl, and laminating film. I end up smearing glue on it a lot, but it comes off easily with adhesive remover and doesn't mar the mat. I use an exacto knife often as well and the self healing feature is still working great after 3 months of regular use. The mat doesn't slip around easily on the wood desktop I have it on, though I do have some other desktop items that overlap on the back edge that help hold it in place.

and a bunch of hair bands for her best friends wedding
Just the right size for all our projects. Since receiving my wife and I finished 5 dresses, and a bunch of hair bands for her best friends wedding. Cutting strips quickly on the rotary cutter and my xacto knife is easy and doesnt damage our table. Good touch on the simple hole to hang it on the wall. Seems small but really easy way to store the mat away.

Love it and definitely recommend!
Arrived on schedule. I did notice an odor when I opened the package, but it was not as bad as other reviewers made it out to be. The smell was nearly unnoticeable for me. As for performance, I think it does a great job. It's a good size and it has a hole at one edge for hanging, although I just tuck it in the back of my closet when I'm not using it. Cutting fabric feel less cramped on this mat; I used to work just on bare floor and used a small self-healing mat I got from Daiso if ever I needed to use my rotary cutter. It has a light and a dark side so that one can better see dark and light fabrics, respectively, when cutting. The grid makes measuring so much easier and helped me to even out edges before cutting for projects.

It really does self heal and it makings cutting fabrics a joy. Get the largest size!
I just bought this mat to replace the smaller version I had which was 12x36. It is amazing! It really does self heal like magic and it makes cutting fabric a complete joy. I am so excited to have the larger size. I recommend going bigger, you know you will need it for cutting out those maxi skirts and pant legs. The grid is very helpful and I like the dark and light sides for when you are working with different colored fabrics. It is also slightly grippy so slinky fabrics don't slip around so much. You can poke it with a pin too as you work and it heals just as easily. Easy to wipe down if need be. Highly recommended.
