I purchased this as gift for my grandson, who is just learning to use a needle and thread. It would be nice if there were additional choices for boys to practice on - it's important that they know how to sew on a button and mend a hem too.
My 7 year old daughter is having a blast learning to sew and loves all things horses so this is perfect for her! Simple enough she can do it with just a little bit of help from Mom every now and then.
This came in a pack of 3. I was expecting only one so that is a plus. A nice gift/project but takes time. A nice beginning sewing project. Don't expect to get it completed extremely fast unless you are a seamstress and know what you are doing. The yarn seems to get knotted easily as you pull through the loops but otherwise no complaints on the project.

My granddaughter loves this. I sprayed the plastic canvas with a clear crafter's shellac and let it dry before she started working on it. Some of the other reviewers said the drawing rubbed off so it was hard to see. This has worked perfectly for us.
