Excellent kosher salt is no longer sold at Publix Super Markets.
Diamond Crystal kosher salt is the only salt both recommended and used in my favorite cookbook,

Great Salt For Those Who Want To Avoid Caking Agents In Traditional Table Salt
Recently, our household ran out of salt. When I attempted to purchase a replacement, I found that most of the salts that I looked at contained caking agents. Due to household allergies, we wanted to avoid caking agents, and the only salt I could find without one was Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt. I'm glad I found it! Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt comes in a large 3 pound box that will last our household a long time. I wish the box was resealable, but since it isn't, we dumped the salt into a canister to keep out potential critters which only seem to pop up when there is unprotected sugar, flour, or salt. This salt is larger in size than traditional table salt. While traditional table salt is tiny grains of salt that you can barely see, this is more like flakes of salt that are highly visible on your food when you sprinkle it on. The flakes are large enough that they can be seen, but small enough that you do not have to grind this salt in order to use it. Taste wise, I was skeptical about switching to a kosher salt, I had no idea what to expect. As it turns out, it tastes like salt, just like it should. It is however less salty than traditional table salt, so I find myself using 2-3 times more salt with each use than I would use if I were using regular table salt. The less salty taste was most noticeable when baking. I love to make baked goods and most of my recipes call for 1 teaspoon of salt. I now need to use 2-3 teaspoons of salt to get the same flavor results. When I double the salt, the taste of the recipe is the same, which is a good thing. Ingredient wise, this salt contains one ingredient: SALT! I would definitely buy this salt again in the future as it's the only salt I've come across that does not contain a caking agent.

The salt you use does make a difference
When it rains, it pours, right? That's what they say over at Morton Salt. I won a trivia contest once because I knew this, but it was decades before I discovered that Morton Salt works better as a sidewalk de-icer than as a food seasoning. There is one simple thing to remember when buying salt. The anti-caking agent that they use to keep the salt from clumpng alters the flavor of the salt, and not in a good way. Whether they are using yellow prussiate, calcium silicate, or whatever else that they decide to use, you end up with a less-than-stellar tasting product. Take a gander down at the ingredients on the side of the label. "Salt". That's what I'm talking about. You will tend to need more of this than your typical salt, but that's a good thing because it gives more control over the final flavor. When using Morton salt (whether the table salt or the kosher salt), I tend to find that I go from "not salty enough" to "too salty" in a half of a pinch. Additionally, for folks who are watching their salt intake, the fact that you need more also gives more control. Now, I will also add that, while this is my staple salt, you will find that there is more to salt than just a simple kosher salt. I use this salt to season before or while cooking. Oftentimes, when you just need a sprinkle of salt on top for a flavorful garnish, I prefer to use larger sea salt crystals. Step up your game a notch, and choose your salts carefully. I have found that, typically speaking, over-salted food tends to be more a bi-product of the anti-caking agent making the food taste miserable. When you're using pure salt, you don't have that problem.

The best salt for cooking, ever!
This salt is wonderful for tenderizing meats and cooking most anything. It is less salty tasting and more flavorful than any other kosher salt I’ve ever used. I’m assuming this is due to the high content of other tasty minerals than sodium, and I guess that it is likely much healthier for us because of it. I highly recommend!

The BEST Kosher salt... the best salt period
This kosher salt is the one Alton Brown uses, so I had to check it out. I don't buy anything else, as larger grain salt just falls off food that you sprinkle it on. Diamond Crystal clings onto food and tastes great. Won't go back to table salt again!

Best you can buy
Honestly, just a superior product. It’s the best, most consistent, best tasting (read, not insanely salty) kosher salt on the market. I’m an avid cook and much prefer Diamond to Morton. It is the salt Bon Appetit uses in their kitchen and it’s the salt I’ll exclusively use in mine.

Great kosher salt for cooking
I use this salt for cooking. I've used kosher salt for cooking for quite some time but not exclusively. After reading Samin Nosrat's "Salt Fat Acid Heat" book I've tried to avoid table salt. I don't think there is a huge difference in taste between kosher salt and table salt, but there is a difference. The difference in the size and shape of the salt crystals also makes a difference. The Diamond Crystal dissolve faster and clings to food better than table salt. I have some Maldon Salt to sprinkle on food as a finishing touch where the texture is important and use Diamond Crystal Kosher salt during cooking.

Amazing salt - I’ll never cook with iodized or sea salt again!
This salt tastes SO much better than iodized or sea salt. Everything that I cook with this salt tastes amazing, even the simplest of recipes. I had no idea that there was such a difference in food salts. I had heard that salt was the engine of flavor, but that was never true for my cooking until I tried this salt. I did notice that you have to use almost twice as much as regular table salt, but the box is large enough that it will still last a long time. I will never go back to cooking with iodized or sea salt again! I have recommended this salt to friends and they have been blown away like me.

My #1 go to salt
I'm a graduate (1992) of one of the countries top culinary schools. Classically trained chef. This is my #1 go to salt. Diamond Crystal is just pure Kosher salt. Nothing else. No talc. Nothing to keep it from clumping. It will clump a wee bit at times. Just give it a little knock with the palm of your hand, no brutal, just a little knock and it'll break up. It's worth doing that because this is a very consistent, top botch only salt you'll ever really need --- and Kosher salt does make a difference in cooking. I've been using this salt for over 30 years and with all the trendy ones to hit the market this is still my #1 go to salt for all things. The best salt a cook or baker could ever want or need.

This is the real thing....it really improve the taste of your cooking and baked goods.
Large size and will last along time. The taste is amazing. Its nothing like morton. If you want to take some real salt this Diamond crystal kosher is a great start in salts. I use it in all my cooking. I also bought a salt box and the two together are time savers and the food is much better tasting.
