They work very well IF you follow the directions...
Editing my former review... turns out I was using them incorrectly. Once I read the instructions, they worked great! I was trying to peel them off the backing, then stick them to stuff... turns out you're supposed to stick the dots on the item first, THEN peel the backing off. When you do it that way, they work great! Now I'm happy I purchased them and will use them on my wedding invitations after all.

Tiny dots that help mount tiny items. I used ...
Tiny dots that help mount tiny items. I used this in a living locket to keep the items from shifting. Also for putting my business card in a display. They are a bit difficult to remove without turning them into a ball. I used some pointy tweezers.

Glue Dots = No Mess
I use these with a lot of my crafting projects at home with my son and at school with my students. These glue dots are easy to use and there is essentially no mess while crafting which is always a plus in my book! They are the perfect compliment to foam crafting projects - they work beautifully on many surfaces.

Stick stuff together with these.
I love these little dots. I have so many different projects going at the same time and I use these on almost all of them. There’s no mess like with a lot of liquid glues, especially after applying pressure. They’re the perfect size and can be placed precisely where you want them. The strips are good too, although I sometimes overthink their placement and end up having a folded strip, which is pretty close to being a dot so I just use these now. They adhere well to most clean surfaces but they’re the best for DIY crafts. Definitely recommend these, even if you don’t need them.

Used in Assmbly of wedding invitations
Used these to quickly assemble wedding invites, they don't shirk the papper once applied like glue they also don't elevate the paper like the foam ones do. The stickyness is great and held up in the mail. I have used this for other crafts that deal with lace and material as well. They don't really show through the lace either which is great.

These will replace most of your adhesive solutions.
These glue dots have been the #1 most used item as a homeschool mom. I really can't begin to describe all the things I've used these for from hanging up all the wall decor in our room to crafts, etc. Of all the materials I've tried it on the only one that didn't stick was to my nylon American flag I attempted to hang on the wall. It held the big thing for about half hour. They stayed on the wall just not on the actual flag.

Awesome for crafts!
Used these to glue pearls on a pumpkin, they worked wonderfully! Highly recommended.

Tapes did a terrible job, so was wood glue
I was looking for an adhesive solution to stick my Christmas light onto wood surfaces. Tapes did a terrible job, so was wood glue. These little things saved the day. I learned from an earlier review that you're not supposed to touch the dots as that would turn them into a sticky glob. You need to keep the dots on the paper, and just apply them directly onto the surface. I used the paper to press them on the surface too so no hands were required.

The hair broke off my Morrigan statue and the glue dots held better that super glue
Maybe it's just me but I'm obsessed with glue dots and have been for years. I use them for everything!!!!! My recent discovery is that they work really well at repairing resin and polystone statues. If you collect gaming statues buy these! The hair broke off my Morrigan statue and the glue dots held better than super glue.

Great for zipper applications
I love these glue dots for sewing. Yes - sewing. They are perfect for placing zippers and trims prior to sewing. Pins distort zipper tape and sometimes are the reason for wavy zippers. I simply place a couple of glue dots on the zipper tape and finger press to hold. I then set it with a medium heat iron, then sew as usual. The glue dots do not gum up my needle.
