Add some pizazz to your cards

I own a Cricut Maker and bought the WRMK Quill starter kit for use with that machine and my Explore Air. It is a great way to add a little extra something to my handcrafted cards. The instructions are simple and, if you follow them, you will be able to get some good results. Be aware that when you buy replacement foil in sheets that it is very thin. I have ruined a few sheets because I didn't separate them! Static cling prevailed. BE AWARE that Cricut states that if you use this tool with your warranted machine the warranty will be invalidated. My personal experience is that it hasn't created any issues at all. Even the little metal spatula you place under the quill tip while it is heating up and cooling down doesn't get hot. I am not sure why Cricut is so protective - by my machines are already out of warranty anyway. Oh - WRMK doesn't recommend plugging the quill into any USB port on your cutting machine. I concur with that recommendation strictly because it is a device that generates heat and the USB port on the machine may not be able to handle it. Use a separate power cord with a USB adapter. What is one more wire in your craft room...right? :)

Easy to use, quick start.

This was a gift for my very crafty daughter. The first time she used it she chose an intricate design and it turned out beautiful! She’s made several more gorgeous designs since. She said there’s a learning curve but it was quite easy to use and the finished product is perfect!

So fun and it works! As I was making things I was actually really disappointed thinking it didn't work and was wondering if I should risk trying to go over the foil again. I am so glad I didn't try! Every time, though it seemed like something went awry, it always worked and was so cute! I used a Cricut maker with the included adapter and had no issues. I had to keep reminding myself to change the setting to "draw" but it all worked out perfectly! I quickly designed these images on Cricut Design Space for a baby shower. They were the cherry on top and brought it all together so perfectly. I originally found this item for sale at Joanns for $100! I was just waiting for it to go on sale but figured I would look on Amazon. So. Glad. I. Did. It was under $50 on Amazon for the exact same product! Thank you AMAZON!
