Time savers if used within their design
The flexible shaft makes it quicker to get some jobs done, but the same flexibility limits the amount of torque you can apply. Over somewhere around 20 ft/lbs, they get too wiggly. That's not a product defect, that's its nature. What's with reviewers complaining about it? This is a time-saving substitute for piecing together solid extensions and universal joints, useful in many circumstances. It doesn't replace your solid extensions, nor is it designed to. I'm happy with them and I find myself reaching for them more and more often.

Well built, excellent torque transmission, perfectly flexible.
It does exactly what it says it should do. Construction feels solid and torque transfer is good. I bought these to replace ignition coils in my car, and everything I read said that #4 was going to be difficult because it was not easy to access. However, with this flexible extension bar and an extension bit set to chuck it up in my drill, I had it replaced in about 10 minutes. Even though the bolt was quite tight, my impact driver had little problem getting the bolt out and this extension bar did a great job of not only getting the socket into position, but also transferred the torque from my drill to the bolt.

Great item to just keep in your toolbox
I was not expecting much from something that is essentially a spring with ratchet connectors on the ends. These have outperformed what I expected. They allow a moderate amount of bending, and stand up to average jobs. Don't expect to be using these with breaker bars or to remove stuck nuts. I used the small 1/4 inch bar to adjust headlights on my vehicle, and it dealt with the bend and resistance perfectly. Great item to just keep in your toolbox. Never know when these may save your knuckles.

Works on quarter inch Milwaukee impact driver for removing bolts in hard-to-reach areas
I haven't used these a lot but what I have used with them was taking off and retightening 3/8 nuts that had been on since the vehicle was made in 1995 in the cab and these work excellent for that especially on my Milwaukee quarter inch impact driver very pleased

Didn't have it when I needed it. But probably works.
Ordered out of spite because my car has bolts in the worst places imaginable. The labyrinthian engine was designed by M C Escher and sold to the Ford motor company in 1994. As a result, tools like these extensions, the topographic screwdrivers, and quantum intanglement ratchet are required to work on my vehicle. I look forward to using them next time I need to change the spark plugs.

Saved a Ton of Time
I needed to replace a crankshaft position sensor on my car, and needed to get the socket on the bolt to loosen it in a tight space. These extension were perfect to get the socket on and give me enough space to turn the wrench. Same thing was needed to give the bolt a last tightening turn. Would strongly recommend the product.

Excellent addition to my tool box
Bought these with low expectations as I figured the spring wouldnt be strong enough to put decent torque on fasteners. Wow was i surprised when I was able to really get decent torque on some hard to reach bolts with these extensions. They fill the gap between a wobble extension and a swivel and have really come in handy on a couple jobs making my life easier. I seem to use them the most on hose clamps on vehicles, the factory always mounts them in a spot that you cannot easily get to them.

bending is good.
A necessary tool to have if you need to get into tight places. Saved me lots of time on some jobs where the straight extension just would not do. But this is not designed for a bolts that are overtorqued or torqued to a high setting. But they are great on smaller jobs. Highly recomend it.

Every home mechanic should have these around!
These really saved me a lot of additional steps in the job I needed to complete on my BMW. Without them I would have had to order several additional tools or taken the entire intake manifold off to get to the bold. It is true that you should break the bolt free before using these because they don't handle a whole lot of torque. However, they allow you to get the socket completely on the head of the bolt so as not to strip anything out! What an amazing idea.

Works great
These are the best! I used them for some bolts on the car that would've been "knuckle busters" and had no problem getting them out. These are pretty sturdy and you can definitely use a lot of torque behind them. I would suggest these to anyone that finds themselves with bolts that are hard to reach or at an angle you can't get to with a regular ratchet and extension.
