Great backup extinguisher
This is an incredible little extinguisher! It's replacing our first Tundra extinguisher which, without question, saved our home during a kitchen fire. Awesome knockdown, it stopped an out of control stove fire faster than I've seen CO2 work! What sold me for life...the unit was 5 years past it's expiration!

Better then a standard fire extinguisher
These are great! I’m part of the local fire department in my town and we actually pass these out to people in town. Excellent on all common household fire (electric and grease too). Its small, and easy to use. An honest must have upgrade compared to the standard ABC purple K fire extinguisher

Available when needed, and really effective!
I have one of these in the back of my Tundra pick-up truck which has a topper on it: I thought it was pretty cool to have a fire extinguisher with same name as my truck ! We camp a lot, and once accidently spilled some Coleman fuel (naphtha gas) while cooking on the tailgate. Wow! 3 foot flames and Visions of our whole truck burning up in seconds. Fortunately the First Alert was right there at the tailgate. It took no more than a couple seconds to grab it and extinguish the fire! This is the way a fire extinguisher should work: readily available, and charged with a truly effective fire retardant. Thank you, First Alert!

Fire after midnight!
Had a spontaneous combustion fire in my microwave last week at 1 AM. I was sleeping in the loft when the screaming smoke alarm suggested I find out what triggered it. Smoke roiling over the rail convinced me to act, so I staggered downstairs, Flames flickering inside the microwave door prompted me to grab the Tundra can sitting on the counter next to the stove, open the door and squirt the foam through the vent holes in the top of the micro interior. The flames subsided but didn't go out, so I ripped the plastic grill off the front of the micro, squirted the remainder of the foam over the burning interior of the machine and put out the last of the fire. THEN I thought to call 911 to come and check the walls, making sure no fire had escaped the shell of the microwave. It hadn't, and when the firemen arrived, they removed the micro, scanned the walls with their heat-seeking laser, and said "All Clear". I breathed a huge sigh of relief and tried unsuccessfully to sleep the rest of the night.

Saved my house from a potential catastrophe and the chicken was salvaged
I just ordered the two pack to replace the original two I bought at a big box store a few years ago. I keep them in the kitchen pantry. Easter Sunday I put a chicken on the rotisserie and lit our well maintained, less than 5 year old grill that had a full tank of propane and came back in the house. Not 3 minutes later the grill was engulfed in flames. I grabbed one of these extinguishers and was able to knock the fire back while standing a good distance away. Wearing leather gardening gloves my husband opened the bottom of the grill where the tank resides and I continued to spray while he turned off the gas. The hose that feeds the gas to the burners failed where it entered the grill. The hose looked fine when I last cleaned the grill and the connection was tight. You can bet I'll be replacing those annually on our new grill, though the new one does not have a rubber component so should last. The chicken was unharmed, well it was already dead, put in the oven and we enjoyed a nice cocktail while our heart rates returned to normal.

Completely and totally AMAZING
These things literally stopped a condo complex from burning down. Got up this morning at 5 a.m. and saw the front of a condo entryway across the parking lot engulfed in flames. My brother went outside, set off his car alarm, and started yelling to wake people up. I called 911. By the time I got outside, most of the neighbors were up... and just standing there staring. No one was doing a damn thing. So I ran back in and grabbed my 2 First Alert AF400 Tundra Fire Extinguisher Aerosol Spray, and handed one to my brother and said "Let's try to contain it!". He scoffed that "These are just little cans!", so I told him it was better than just watching. To be honest, I thought we were going to look like kids with toys trying to put out a well-established house fire with these, but whatever, right? To my complete and utter amazement (I had bought these in case one of my sons started a small fire in the house cooking, or whatever), not only did these small extinguishers partially contain the fire, they completely extinguished it. Giving me time to run into the guy's house, shut off his circuit breakers, and get out his garden hose, turn it on, and completely extinguish the fire before the fire department showed up *15-20 minutes* after I called. I've attached pictures of the fire's damage to the product. It could have been a lot worse. I would recommend these in a HEARTBEAT. They performed beyond what I thought they would OR could. If you're on the fence thinking you need a "real" fire extinguisher, I can assure you - these are as real as any fire extinguisher ever, and a heck of a lot easier to use.

Saved our oven, maybe our home
I want to give it 10 stars. I ordered this and a couple of other fire safety items about 3 weeks ago mainly to give my boys a homeschool project to learn about fire safety in our home. Today my son was cooking bacon in the oven and as he was removing the tray a large amount of grease spilled, a moment later the oven was in flames. We didn't panic, my daughter reached under the sink for the van and put out the flames in less than a minute. I honestly don't know what I would have done to put out a grease fire without it. Now I'm on a mission to make sure all my friends and neighbors has this in their kitchen. I feel like we could have lost everything in our home. I'm so grateful for this product.

Great for Elderly Mother
Bought these for my parents. My dad has Alzheimer's and we caught him trying to cook frozen food in the plastic package on the stove. There is no way my mom could pick up even the lightest fire extinguisher so was very happy when I found these. We keep one in the kitchen and another in the laundry room.

surprised that black smoke easily accumulated in the kitchen
Used it today, 3/20/17. Food on a pan inside the oven started burning. Used it and extinguished the fire in less than 2 seconds. If I didn't have it, I would have no way of extinguishing the fire. Couldn't have poured water or took the pan out. Also, surprised that black smoke easily accumulated in the kitchen. Trust me it works. Buy it to save your house and family in such circumstances.

Yup. It works!
Of course you never want to use something like this but I knew that we needed one in our new condo just in case. I was right! I was toasting taco shells in our large toaster and looked away for a moment- the smoke billowed first and then it caught fire fast. Certainly on the greasy-fire side because of the oil on the shells. They were LIT. My husband grabbed the device, aimed and sprayed for about 5 seconds. He stopped and I barked for him to do it again- it caught one more time. There’s no way I would have been able to toss a blanket up there and a real extinguisher would have left the biggest mess. This was easy to clean up! Don’t delay- buy it. (To note, we took someone’s Amazon advice and put a black Sharpie arrow on the top to show the direction of the spray- excellent idea- no thinking necessary!
