I received my reconditioned compressor ahead of schedule earlier this week. I just unboxed it (the shipping box left a little to be desired), read the directions, followed the advice of others about running it with the valve open for 15 minutes, then closed the valve and started it up again. The pressure in the tank ran up to 150 PSI very quickly (a few minutes...I didn't time it). I hooked up my hose and aired up tires in 3 cars. It worked as expected....perfectly. It's not a real large "body of work" yet, but I am very pleased at this point. It's a very nice piece of equipment. I buy reconditioned stuff a lot and have had much success. Give it a shot!

my tire pressure monitor light is always going on it seems, sick of trying to use the tiny cigarette lighter versions to blow up my tires. So thought I would try this and it worked great first time out. Filled up my car tires fast and had no problems. Will keep updating as it goes, hope to get good life span from the product

I got this because I was wearing out my 12V compressor and hate to use my gigantic 220V one just to air up a tire. Plugged it in. It fired up and ran up to 147lbs and shut off. I pumped up 4 tires it kicked on once. I'm thrilled. Low draw, low noise. Big oil free air. I can paint small stuff with it. 2 air outlets. Light and easy to carry. I better stop before I buy another.

Before puchasing this product, I read many of the reviews, and I must say I was a bit hesitent in ordering. I buy most of the products I use outdoors as "Factory Reconditioned", and to date, I have only had to send 2 back. I simply could not fix them myself. The key to reconditioned products, to me, is not needing to use them on receipt. Plan ahead. Then, if there is a problem, you CAN afford to wait. With that said, I had to send this compressor back. It simply would not send air to the outlet valves, or to the outlet gauge. Was it defective?? Yes. So, I emailed Amazon and they shipped me out a "new" reconditioned item, all tolled, it took 8 days. (ship defective one back, and receive replacement item.) Was I pleased with the service.?? Yes. Did I get what I paid for?? Yes. Was I irritated with the transaction?? No.! Why not, you say.? Because I used Murphy's Law, what can go wrong, may go wrong. The idea that a reconditioned item will arrive with no flaws is just asking too much in todays world. Yes, read reviews, but if you want to save some big bucks for a decent item, plan ahead, and have time. My 2nd compressor arrived on December 12,2011, and when powered up to run for a few minutes to purge water from the tank, everything worked fine. However, when the air bleed was closed on the bottom of the tank, and it was run up to 150PSI, when the unit powered off, there was a slight air leak under the air gauges, which was rectified with 2 hose clamps that were easily installed by me, for an additional $2.00. Powered up to 150PSI and shutting off at pressure, not an airleak to be heard. I'm very pleased with this product for the money paid. And yes, I'm a do-it-yourself homeowner.!

It works flawlessly and I like it. I'll buy refurbished power tools all day long. It was sold new, returned for a defect, repaired and inspected and sold to me. The way I see it, whatever was the weakest like in the machine, is now so strongest and it has been inspected for quality control twice. Maybe the odds are in my favor too. What are the chances e same machine will have a second failure? Even if it does, it comes with the same warranty as he new one.

Got it today. 15 minute run up with the purge valve open. Then closed the valve and filled then tank in a few moments. Topped off the air in all the tires in the garage, motor starts and stops as needed. Super product. Except for a sticker, there's no easy way to tell its a reconditioned unit....looks and runs like brand new. Can't wait to start putting air tools on the Christmas list.

Was pleasantly surprised by this Porter Cable C2002R oil free compressor. My old one tipped over and broke the regulator and it was situated too close to the "hot dog" tank to be able to unscrew it and just replace the regulator, so I started looking for a replacement. Great buy, works perfect, the higher pressure rating allows the use of a smaller tank to contain an equal amount of air as my older, larger, and heavier, lower psi unit. Instructions were excellent, and the only modification needed was a 1/4 turn drain valve that I replaced the stock one with. Great unit, worth twice the price.

no misrepresentation here. Product is exactly as described and performs as expected. shipping carton had a hole in it but no damage to the compressor. Would order from them again with confidence.
