Great solution to hot car seats!

This is the best money I have spent in a while! I bought this car seat shade almost 2 years ago and was cautiously optimistic after reading some of the negative reviews regarding quality and longevity of the product. My car is parked outside for 8 hours in the sun while I am at work and my son's car seat is black. Even if I cranked the air conditioning on my way to daycare, it would still be warm/hot to the touch he would get in. This is easy to slip on in the morning after drop-off and fits comfortably over his Britax Marathon seat which is a little on the larger side. It has made it through almost 2 years of on/off every day and still looks like the day I bought it. The most important thing is that my son's car seat is cool every day! Definitely would recommend!

Good Cargo Bike Bucket Cover, Too

We use this to cover the bucket of our Madsen cargo bike when we aren't riding it. It helps keep the vinyl seats cooler for when we load the kids in, and provides a bit of privacy protection when the bike is parked and locked. Sure, people can pull it off and take out something that's in the bucket if they want. But if they're just walking by, out of sight, out of mind. This adds a bit of piece of mind for me as well.

Really Keeps the car seat Cool!!

We live in Northern California and it can get REALLY hot here!! I drive my granddaughter around quite a bit and don't want to put her into a hot seat. I remember how hot the seats get from when my kids were young... I wish I had something like this back then. It's very easy to put on and take off. You simply slip it over the car seat. There are no hooks or snaps or anything to bother with. It's got elastic all around so it fits very snuggly over the seat. While it doesn't completely cover the entire seat it does cover anything that she would come into contact with. You can see how much it covers in the pictures I provided. It keeps the seat cool and the sunshade fabric itself stays cool so you won't burn your fingers taking it off. My granddaughter recently turned two years old and she actually reminds me to put it on her seat when I take her out of the car! I bought this cover along with the Shadesox Universal Fit cover for my back windows... It wasn't necessary to do so but between both items it makes driving in the summer no problem at all. I don't need to worry about the plastic, metal or even the fabric on the car seat hurting her. I also like that her car seat fabric won't fade so it will still look great for the next kid. I bought three of these so my granddaughter has one in her parents car and her aunts car. They fit each seat perfectly. Worth every penny

Puts up with the heat. We live in Southern California and during the summer we get 105 consistently. Special weeks 110 and few days in the 120s. This would help so much it was amazing. The car seat wouldn’t be cold but it would be slightly warm. Before we had it we would have to take the car seat in everywhere. This thing made it possible to leave it in the car and not indanger the baby. Would buy again.

Ok so I've had this product for about 3 years now and let me tell you when I forget to put it on my daughter can't even get in her car seat until the ac cools it down for a bit. We live in AZ and it gets to be 118 degrees in the summer for about 3 months straight talk about hot!!! Anyways I used to use towels for my other kiddos but came across this and thought for $7 I'll try it. It seriously works lowers the temperature of the car seat! Keeps the straps and buckles much cooler so they don't burn your baby and are super easy to put on and off. They squish up small and fit below or behind the car seat so it's not in the way! I've recommended these to everyone I know with a child in a car seat! I buy them often for friends and family as baby shower gifts. I don't really use it in the winter time but summer is a definite must have! No towels or ice packs needed just this baby shade!!! Genius invention in this AZ Mommy's opinion!!!

One of the best baby accessories I've purchased

One of the best baby accessories I've purchased. I live in AZ, where it is regularly above 100 degrees during the long summer, and this helps to keep the buckles on the car seat from branding my baby's skin. Of course, I still always check the metal before putting my baby in the car seat, and this alone doesn't solve the problem on the hottest days, but it certainly helps. My strategy after running errands is to remove the cover, start the car to get the AC going full blast, roll down the windrows, put away groceries or whatever away in my trunk, return the cart, then check the metal on the buckles before finally putting my baby in the car seat, then rolling the windows back up, and driving away. On the worst days, I even bring frozen ice packs to put in the car seat while we're out and the cover helps keep them cold which helps keep the car seat cool too.

These are seriously the best impulse buy I've ever made. I have a bucket seat and a full sized Safety First Air (which is huge) and these shades fit them both. One of our car seats is black, and we have a black car, so in the summer we would usually have to run the AC for 5 minutes or so to cool off the interior enough that the car seat would cool down to a tolerable temperature. When I say the seats get hot in the sun, I mean painful to touch with my hand, so I snapped these up while making another purchase in the hopes of at least making the car seat bearable in the summer. These actually leave the seats cool to the touch and we've used them in some pretty ferocious sun/heat days. I would 100% recommend them to anyone that owns a car seat, truly a must have.

Really works!

This is a simply to use product and really keeps the car seat from collecting heat and becoming warm. When I don’t use it my daughter’s car seat is so warm that she is a bucket of sweat after our 15 min car ride home, even with the ac on fulll blast the entire way plus it having been on full blast the entire 15 min trip of me driving to pick her up.

A Must Have!

I purchased this for the Grandbabys Graco car seat, it fits so well. I am very glad I chose this one as it is well made, with sturdy seams and appears that it will stay in good shape for a long time. I feel this cover will keep expensive seat in pristine condition, i now have no worries of UV fading,or stains. (my daughter had a Pepsi spray, and the cover was on the car seat, thank god, it cleaned right off with a wet wipe! no damage done) it does indeed keep the seat a bit cooler on very hot days,(altho our car seat has no metal clips.) *added note: it does not have any containment bag, so I have utilized a baby wipe container to use as a storage for the folded cover when baby is using car seat! could not be more perfect .

Fits Diono Radian perfectly

I ordered this because my toddler was complaining the seat burned him. He has a Diino Radisn RTX. it fits the Diino perfectly, no problems and works great. Other people complained its cheap or torn, but for $4, its fine for us. Same quality as my window cover. Works great, as promised seat is cooler and toddler has one less complaint.
