I will not use non Sta bil-ized gas in a small engine, period.
After many years, i have never had trouble with an engine using sta bil -ized fuel, regardless of how long i store it...but friends, family, neighbors are constantly bringing me their power equipment that doesnt work because they didnt use sta bil, thinking that im some sort of mechanic because my stuff always runs....but nope! All i do is put the stuff in the gas tank, and run the engine out of gas before long term storage, and ive never had any trouble (my small riding mower is a 1986!). I havent had so much as a weed wacker fail to start on me, ever. I will not use non sta bil ized fuel in any small engines, period.

Great product
Use this constantly for my riding lawn mower, snow blower, generator, and stockpile of gasoline in my shed. It allows me much more flexibility on filling / using all those various tools during the change over times of the year - winter to spring and fall to winter when some tools are put away for the season. I keep quite a bit of gasoline on hand in case I need to run the generator when power goes out and for all those tools so it keeps that gas fresh for long enough that I have time to use it up in my mower, etc without wasting it.

Better Than Advertised.
Remarkable stuff, I've used Sta-Bil for many years now with zero problems. If memory serves. I think the company states the additive will keep the gasoline stable for a year maybe? I recently had four full five gallon gas cans in reserve for my emergency generator for when the electric goes out for an extended period of time. Several years ago the power was out for almost two weeks due to a long line of severe storms and tornado activity. I don't need to tell you the importance quality fuel when you absolutely have to have it. Anyway, other than my lawn mower and weed whip, I have diesel vehicles and tractor so don't use much gasoline. I got lazy and didn't rotate my stored gas for over "four" years! I remember doubling the recommended amount of Sta-Bil because I know myself and would probably forget to rotate my stored gas. I finally got around to rotating it and thought "what the heck" and filled up my generator to see if it was still good or not? It fired up the first pull and I ran it for an hour. Dumped the rest of the gasoline into a buddies car for a free fill up and it didn't lose any noticeable octane.

Every year, i use this stabilizer in the fall ...
Every year, i use this stabilizer in the fall when I am storing away my lawnmower in our shed and again in the early spring when I am putting away my 1973 Ariens snowblower (swapping it into the space that is opened up when I take the lawnmower out). Whether I am starting up the snowblower for the first time in late fall or doing the same thing with the lawnmower in early spring, I always get the engines on each to turn over by the second or third pull thanks to this dependable stabilizer. The process of applying the stabiilzer when putting one of them away is simple: put a measured amount of stabilizer into the fuel tank, start up the engine and let it run for about five minutes, That insures the stabilizer thoroughly coats every part of the fuel chain and prevents varnish from forming in it while the motor is in storage.

Great Product, I have been usuing it since 2005
I literally put this in everything i own. Generators, boats, gas powered tools, fuel tanks, Jet skis and everything else. I never want to be the person with bad gas and have to take the gunk out of my carburetor. Better safe than sorry and if i think something is going to sit for more than 4 weeks i make sure to pop a little bit of this in the fuel just to make sure I am in the clear. I know its probably overkill but i don't think damaged anything by doing it either. So all i can say is all of my gas powered items literally work every time i try to start them after months of no use. Maybe its the oil changes, maybe its making sure they are clean and the batteries are tended to and that corrosive parts are sprayed down with Fluid FIlm. All in all STA-Bil is part of my process to ensure sure, when i hit the ignition in the middle of winter, I don't have to waste anytime thinking about what went wrong. Would highly recommend.

Great product. Use it in all of my lawn ...
Great product. Use it in all of my lawn tractors, lawn mowers, chainsaws and weed eaters to keep the fuel fresh during inactive and active months; always add Stabil. Not fun or inexpensive to rebuild/replace carburetors. Big money/time saver to add stabilizer to fuel even if you're going to burn it up. Have noticed that in some small engines adding Stabil and leaving it sit over the winter, the engine runs even better. NO issues starting up. That is just great and a pleasant surprise. At least it was with one of my lawn tractors, an MTD. I actually ordered a new carb for the MTD expecting to replace it this spring but the Stabil seemed to of cleaned out whatever was causing the idle issue. Have bought from the seller twice already and am very happy with the product and shipping which has been within 2-3 days. Highly recommend. Also recommend waiting for and watching the price, you can save up to 50% compared to buying from local big box stores. Highly recommend!

Keep your engine rust and corrosion free over the winter storage period.
I have used STA-BIL fuel stabilizer for the last 2 years when storing my V12 Vantage. Each year, I fill up the tank, pour in about half a bottle of STA-BIL as I have a 22 gallon tank. I drive the car around a few miles to ensure the fuel stabilizer has an opportunity to cycle completely through the engine and fuel system. I put my car on a trickle charger and then 3-4 months later I come back and it starts back up every time. One of the main purposes of the fuel stabilizer is to coat the inside of the engine to prevent any rust or corrosion over the long storage period. If you are remotely concerned about the health of your vehicle I would highly recommend using STA-BIL anytime you store your vehicle for more any prolonged period of time.

3 years later it turned over and started just fine
This stuff works. I put this in the fuel tank of a car that I love that had a blown head gasket and needed a rebuild. Life got in the way and my wife and I bought a new house and had a baby, so the car project was put off for three years. I added STA-BIL to the fuel tank and after just under three years I wasn't optimistic that it would start, but happily it fired up after turning over just a little more than normal. I'm a satisfied customer and the car is going to be trailered off for a re-build and we don't have to push it on and off the trailer. I've had other cars that sat for less time but needed the fuel tank to be drained and filter replaced before they would start. I hope I don't have another car sit for quite this long, but if it is a possibility I will be adding STA-BIL.

It's STA-BIL!
This is the good stuff for gas treatment. I have lots of small engines: Stihl straight shaft trimmer, Poulan chain saw, Generac Inverter Generator, Troy Bilt snow blower, Subaru pressure washer, Honda Foreman ATV. I have exactly ZERO problems with fuel varnish with any machine. All start and run very well even after 6 months or more of being idle. The additive also does a good job of making pump gas (with 10% to 15% ethanol) compatible with small engines. My snowblower is 15 years old and it works like a dog when I need it to. Starts on the first pull. My string trimmer is 9 years old...a finicky 2-stroke, and it mows an acre of rocky steep hillside several times a year (for fire mitigation). I've NEVER changed a spark plug on any of the machines. I attribute this to a rich mix of STA-BIL.

Well Worth it.
I use Ethanol Free Gas for my small motors, it costs a little more at the pump, but far cheaper than fuel related repairs at the end of the season. I put it in to an empty gas can and let new gas mix it as can is being filled. If you buy 10% ethanol gas you need to get the version for ethanol gas treatment. Works well so far. I had gas stored in a can for almost a year, and it smells fresh, and put some in my mower and mower started right up and ran smoothly. My generator manual says to store the generator full with gas and use Sta-Bil Storage. Just let it run so the gas with Sta-Bil has a chance to work its way through the whole fuel system. A year later, the generator started right up on first pull. 1 ounce will treat 2.5 gallons of gas. The only down side I've noticed is careful the angle you pour it. As you pour the fill tube into the measuring section has to fill will air, or as you pour in measured amount, extra will keep flowing from rest of bottle if not careful.
