Yuck yuck yuck

I used to have a puppy who they called a "power chewer". Had to buy various sprays to keep her destructive little butt from demolishing every piece of furniture I owned. Naturally, I sometimes found myself touching the furniture and accidentally tasting the puppy repellant and let me tell you - those sprays taste like candy compared to this stuff. It only took me a few times to make a concerted effort to keep my fingers OUT of my mouth. I can't believe how long it took me to actually do something about my nail biting. Not only is it unattractive, unprofessional, and unsanitary, I'm reasonably certain any cold/flu I've caught over the past few years was probably because of this habit. It's only been a week and I already notice a difference!! Highly recommended.

Effective!

This product was really worth every penny. I bought it for my 5 yr old niece, who is in the habit of biting her toenails. (Yes you read that right hahaha!) Admittedly, I wanted to use it myself, as I bite my own fingernails from time to time. I used it once, and the product is very repulsive to taste, so it is VERY effective!!! Despite showers, hand-washing, dishes, etc., the product stayed on for several days. I'm not sure if it adhered to the nail polish I was wearing or not. It is really helping break the habit.

This stuff works WONDERS!

I've been a nail biter for as long as I remember. I play violin, so I needed short nails all the time, and biting them off was just the quickest and easiest way to achieve this. Now, I'm starting to get out of the habit, but sometimes "instinct" would kick in and I'd just start biting again. This polish tastes SOOOO BAD, even if I do get that unconscious urge to bite, I'm quickly detracted and immediately stop. I've used it on it's own as well as on top of other polishes, and it has been fantastic. I usually reapply every 2 or 3 days just to be safe. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to start some good habits with healthy nails.

I have had a hard time not biting my nails! I am in the dental field and it's always disgusted me that I bit my nails but still couldn't stop. This product has a bitter taste and it really does make you not bite your nails. I am on day 16 of not biting my nails and they are finally growing and i'm not embarrassed about people seeing them anymore. I would highly recommend using this if you're having the same problem. The only thing I didn't like was after eating chips I lick my fingers and get that taste, or when I floss my teeth. But it's what to be expected... If this product has bad reviews it's because those people didn't stick to the application process of applying every other day. **Update day 37 still love this product!!! Have stopped using it because I no longer have the desire to bite my nails!! WIN!!!

25 year habit helped. This is not for children!

8/13/18 Nail bitter for 25 years. Started with "stop the bite" but switched to this for the growth assistance. I had many habits: biting, peeling, picking, rubbing my nail across my lips, just always having my fingers in and around my mouth. So needless to say this stuff got everywhere. My husband could taste it when I kissed him. Cooking was not fun. Finger food not fun. But it works. I would seriously question any adult that thinks this is appropriate for children. It tastes awful, made me feel sick, even nauseous at times. It would churn my stomach for hours after getting a taste. I started just putting it on my "favorite" fingers and just edge. I haven't used it for about a week but I reintroduce it if I am absentmindedly relapsing. It's a work in progress because of all my habbits but they are growing. Highly recommend!!!! Update 9/18/18 Still growing strong! Using less and less only when I'm stressed and notice I'm putting them on my mouth. I file them alot to try and eliminate the damaged parts. It's almost fully grown out in just over a month.

Cliché, but world-changing. Would recommend to hell and back

I virtually never leave reviews, but I have been a wolf biter for at least a decade and I don't know why it took me so long to go out of my way to buy something like this for this incorrigible habit. I've been so embarrassed and ashamed of my fingers for wayyy too long, and it's long generated a strong source of self-loathing. It's been about three weeks since I bought this, and though I've caught myself slipping and teething at my fingers, for the most part, the rancid, mouth-burning taste of this product has almost completely made me averse to biting, let alone letting my fingers get anywhere near my mouth. (I say throat-burning, but it doesn't hurt at all. It's just incredibly bitter lol) The only possibly, EASILY-eclipsed negative to this product is that it makes eating things with your fingers absolutely disgusting, but it creates even more of an incentive to quit the habit and stop using this product. Like I said, it's nothing compared to the benefits of it. Honestly have been battling out this habit for the last 10+ years alone and did not realize this was such a quick fix. Obviously it still takes time, and I am not 100% where I want to be in terms of my nails, but this is the best they've looked since I was in elementary school and the weirdest sensation is that I'm not humiliated every time someone so much as glances at my hands. If whoever is reading this is anything like me and has tried time and time and time again to quit cold turkey without product, or has told themselves every other day that today would be the day they REALLY stop for months bleeding into years, or has had multiple bandaids on the tips of their fingers and had people ask if they were okay and had to respond—of course not without overwhelming chagrin—that they're just another bunch of lousy paper cuts, please seriously consider buying this. Give it a shot. It's so so hard to stop without any help, and because of this product, buying nail polish at the drugstore is not so much an impossibility anymore. TRY IT. It works like a dream. Or, at least, it did for me, and I hope it does for you.

Great Product With Noticeable Results!

Bought it for my mom, who has had lots of trouble trying to quit biting her nails. Now, anytime I am around (which is quite often) she raves about how much she has stopped biting at her nails and how much they have grown because of this product. The following are points that my mom has mentioned to me: - It has a very bitter taste, so after accidentally bringing your coated nails to your mouth once or twice, you likely won't be doing it again. - If you have this on your nails, finger foods aren't an appealing option after a fresh coating because it will "rub off" and leave a bitter taste. That occurs for a few days after any fresh coating of the product. - It prevents you from wanting to bite your nails - Results (nail growth) occur quickly. A notice can be seen within one week.

This product is so amazing and worth buying !

This product is really amazing and definitely worth buying.I use to have a really hard time not bitting my nails.But with this product it has really helped me grow and to stop bitting my nails .I don’t even have the urge to bite my nails anymore. My nails use to be so short , but now with this product I don’t bite my nails and I actually have nails.The only downside with this product is when You eat finger foods ,you can taste the product so you really do have to be carefull. For it to work you will have to make sure to reapply every 2 days or the taste will go away .But other than than this product is amazing and works wonders.

So Excited!!

It has been exactly 2 months since I purchased No Bite, and these (in the pic) are my nails! They were about 3/8 inch from my cuticle when I started using this. I have bitten my nails off and on my whole life, and they were as bad as ever. I could grow them out for a short time then start biting again. It's always a struggle. Now that I'm married, my husband HATES it and is always asking me to stop biting and picking at my fingers. It is a very subconscious, nervous habit and only gets worse with the reminders and discouraging attempts. I figured that a subconscious habit needs a subconscious solution. I tried this and it works!! I dont have to use it regularly any more, having NAILS to polish has been SO good!

Good investment

This has worked wonders for my 7 year old. She bites her nails down to the skin and they look terrible. After applying this polish, I could see her nails growing within the first week. She would always complain about the taste of it, which is a good thing, because it kept her fingers out of her mouth. I would apply it to the nail as well as the skin around it. I would usually apply it every 2-3 days because it would start to wear off after a couple of days, and her fingers were right back in her mouth. The only thing I didn’t like is that the taste of the polish would rub off on whatever she touched, so if she was eating a sandwich, apple, etc., the food would have the nasty nail polish taste as well.
