• Two alligator clips with removable insulators
  • Two plunger mini-hooks
  • Two modular 4 inch heavy duty test probe handles with 0.16 inch banana plug tip
  • Two 42 inch PVC lead extensions
  • Shrouded banana plugs at both ends

I've been using these for about a week now and they perform very well. Here's what I like. I don't know about you but I'm constantly going back and forth between lead types, from probe to clip to push pin and with these I'm never pulling the leads out of the meter, resulting in less wear and tear on the meter plugs. This is a big deal since your meter in many times more expensive that the plugs. Ok, so what, most good probe's have this feature, but these cost ten bucks and come with a nifty 3 part case that can conveniently hold other useful stuff. I did have to trim a bit of boot off the alligators so that that they would maintain contact when in use, otherwise the boot compresses when you slide them on and that stored energy slowly pushes the clip off the terminal. Interestingly the gator clips in my package are not the same as pictured. The ones I actually received appear to be a bit more robust that what is pictured on the purchase page and have a longer insulating boot. It was a bit too long in my opinion, hence the adjustment.

I bought these for the small spring hook attachments to use on test leads on circuit boards. I have used those a couple times, but I also have used the base leads themselves many times to extend the leads of my Fluke 87. I can get several extra feet out of them with little difference in resistance. Also, having an extra set of alligator clips is super helpful. This kit lives in my advanced diagnostics kit that I use for control diagnostics. The price is fair. Much less than a comparable Fluke kit.

I purchased the TL809. I was really only looking for the hook clips, but for this price I went ahead got everything I'll need here. These are very long, much longer than my default set from both my rework station and my volt meter. I really like the interchangeable ends while not having to reconnect a whole different lead. They seem to be durable and are well insulated. There is a tri-fold, canvas-style case with 3 pouches. Each pouch is opened/closed by velcro and has clear plastic on the inside so you can see exactly what is in each pouch. Since I don't foresee travelling or using these much beyond my rework station, this was not much of an incentive for me, but nice to have in case I do, nonetheless. Overall I am extremely content and these should cover all my needs, especially as a hobbyist.

My new DMM came with a basic set of leads, so I ordered a set of these to make troubleshooting MUCH easier. Gone are the days or bending paperclips and wrapping them around my simple leads to make them more versatile! Only two problems: 1. They don't come with a standard bayonet tip what will fit in an AC outlet, but my DMM came with that type of lead, so no problem there. 2. These leads would not work in my DMM and I fiddled for about 20 minutes before realizing it was because the Extech leads had these damnable little plastic caps inside the leads that was preventing them from sliding all the way into the jacks on the DMM! I have no idea what the caps are for, but they pop right out and now they fit correctly. These leads come with a very nice plastic case, which will be very handy for keeping everything organized and un-lost. Buy these leads, I think you'll like them!

All I could need with my DMM's! All come standard size so I can use them on all of my different testers! Very well made and even comes with a very nice and durable pouch! Great value and very easy to stow away neatly!

Worked great for biasing my tube amp. I particularly needed the lead with the plunger/clip. The attachments worked fine with my Commercial Electric digital multimeter from HD. The carrying case did have a rip in the seam where the thread came loose. Didn't bother me because there are three separate pouches to hold the leads in the carrying case. No big deal. Quality seemed fine for what I needed this for.

This is a great, all around, probe set that comes with a nice carrying case that has individual, velcro sealed pouches. I bought this to go with my cheap multimeter I recently bought. This was an excellent purchase. If you are spending less than $20 on a multimeter from China, it is worth it to get these. The probes that came with my mm would hardly read 0 Ohms when touching connectors together for resistance test. The plastic used for this is nice, supple and a little heavy. Not cheap or brittle. You know how cheap plastic for wires will stay bent where they have been folded for storage? The plastic on these wires is close to a cloth feel, and doesn't kink. The set comes with 2 leads and adapters for normal probes, alligator clips and the tiny clips for pcb boards and component connectors. All probes have nice plastic shielding around the connection to avoid shorts. The leads are pretty long. The only downfall for me was that the connectors that plug into the multimeter are too long to fit snugly in my multimeter. It still works fine, they just wouldn't stay in if it got flipped upside down.

Good for the price. Bought this kit for my ebay find bench DMM. These are not the best probes but are much better than some of the standard old probes from my meters from 20 years ago, primarily do to build up of oxidation and use. I like the tip covers and the included pouch bag. Probably not supper efficient low loss connectors though, but versatile for my needs. If you use the alligator clips, they tend to have a tendency of coming off since the whole configuration has too many parts.

After Examining the product I Feel it is a very good quality product . The wires Are soft Silicone type coating and making working with the product easier ,. All the Clips and Probes are made from heavy duty plastic sure last a while .... The case is a little cheap made But That does not matter to me . Overall I am pleased with the product And I can Give it 5 Stars * * * * *

Got this kit to use with my INNOVA 3320 Auto-Ranging Digital Multimeter and they are a perfect fit for it. After getting inaccurate readings w/ the cheap flimsy test leads that came with the DMM, I decided to give these set from Extech a try. They are well made & the extra length in addition to the switchable lead heads is much appreciated. Don't know why I didn't get this kit sooner. I especially love being able to ground my multimeter using one of the alligator clips to a metal frame while single handedly taking reading with the positive lead.
