I needed a 7/16" extra long drill bit to drill a couple of holes in our new chunky wood fireplace mantel and this set of seven drill bits was only a couple bucks more than buying a single 7/16" extra long drill bit. So to start off, the packaging was just some cheap plastic and sealed around the edges but no big deal, it arrived in good shape. The drill bits themselves are of good quality steel and had a good weight to them. I have only used the 7/16" bit so far but it was straight and true and the brad point stayed with no problem at all. For the price and quality, I would not hesitate to buy this set if you are looking for some extra long drill bits.

Excellent price for what I find to be the most commonly used sizes. There is nothing like a brad point bit when it comes to hard woods and finish work.

These have worked great; better than expected.

I was worried about the quality of these bits but I've used them numerous times since I ordered them some time ago. They have been exemplary. Just used one to drill a pilot hole through a 12" locust post for a gate. Worked fine just like all the others. Pleasantly surprised.

God bits, great deal

These bits arrived timely and have worked great for me. I saw a lot of reviews saying these bits were not straight, but mine arrived straight, and after doing a deep counter sink of 32 screws in Douglass Fir, using the 3/8" and 1/8" bits, the bits have stayed sharp and straight. Certainly with long bits like this, you need to pull the bit up every inch or so, to clear out the saw dust to prevent heat build up. And certainly with an 1/8" bit this long, you can't put a lot of pressure on the bit, or it will start to bow while under pressure. I'm very happy with these bits, very sharp.

Useful for select projects

For some things, a brad point bit is the best, and these LONG bits really make short work of projects that need a deep opening, or when you want to align a hole through two surfaces. Very clean cut.

The length on these was perfect for what I needed

I used these to go through 2 thicknesses, spaced about 2 inches apart then I used my hole saw to obtain the actual size hole I wanted, one was 1.5 inches and the other was 2 inches.
