• Knock down hot signals
  • Eliminated auto buzzing on some channels
  • Fixes the problem of having too much signal strength
  • Reduced Signal Strength: 10 dB

Working fantastic for my cable/internet connection. Before this accessory, my cable modem was reporting anywhere from a +7db to +12db power download, with a 40-44 db range upstream power. I had many corrected and uncorrectable octects for my taste, and noticed my pages would sometimes take 10-15 seconds to load. Streaming would be sometimed inturrupted, even with my gigabit internet. With this attenuator pad, I am now receiving downstream power on all 32 channels from -1 to +0.5 (which is perfect!), and upstream power from 48 to 50 upstream power on the upstream channels, also perfect range according to several sources. I don't have any lag on streaming and pages load within 1 to 2 seconds on my mobile device. For reference my SNR (signal to noise ratio) is at a steady 38 dB (this did not change, attenuates the signal power only). As far as correctable octets, there are virtually none! Even my internet speed tests seem improved. Before this, I had called my cable ISP provider a few times to report issues but they would check levels and could not find a problem. I was even having some problems with my Tivo box pixelating on occasion; this problem was also eliminated. After 2 months, I'm still receiving the same signal power and great performance. Just be sure to check your cable modem status page and make sure you get the correct attenuator pad, or it may cause problems.

My upstream voltage was too low and the downstream was high (but not out of spec). Put this on the back of the cable modem and the downstream voltage went down quite a bit (still in spec), and the upstream voltage went up - putting it into spec. If you're wondering if this will work for you, a splitter will do the same thing. Normally a splitter will have one input and 2+ outputs. Each output labeled with -7db (or some number). That number is essentially the attenuation of each split. Try it and see how your signal changes. Good luck!

5 stars means "I Love It." How can I love a 10dB attenuator? Are we using the word love too much and thus demeaning it's value? It works just fine and fixes my over driven RF amp. My S/N had really gone to pot when I suddenly thought that perhaps I was clipping the input amp and compressing the whole shebang. And this attenuator proved that, yep, that was exactly what was happening. Now my weak stations are back working again. I love it :|

My DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem had specs that were a little off. Downstream power was at 11db and 0 is optimal. Bought this 10db attenuator, closest to the "perfect 11." It reduced the downstream power exactly 10db (so now it's 1db). Quality product! The end even rotates unlike some attenuators, so it's super easy to install.

It did what I was expecting.

I switched over from FiOS TV and Internet to FiOS Internet only and needed to makeup for removing the cable splitters between the ONT and the router. This worked perfectly.

Does it's job.... Great quality

My cable internet provider was sending me a hot signal. This bad boy brought it back down. Now my modems last more than 3 months! I purchased the 3dB and 6dB Attenuators as well to mess with things until I managed to get the proper balance. You may want to do the same thing. 10/10 would buy again
