Possibly the best lavender essential oil outside of France
Let me begin by saying that I have traveled to some of the most exquisite lavender producers of France. You can fairly call me a lavender snob. Most of the "lavender oil" sold online are forgeries (made with lavendin, not lavender. very important difference!). True fine lavender only grows in areas of high elevation, and even then, only in specific climates. I don't know if this oil fits that description, but I can tell you that it certainly smells genuine. Richly flowerly, and not at all medicinal. This is the best smelling lavender oil that I have come across since I paid 60 euros for 1oz of true fine lavender oil from Le Chateau de Bois, near the village of Gordes, in France. That is the honest truth. As for other lavender oils that I still have (e.g. the blue Radha oil) - I use add a generous dose to liquid laundry detergent. That seems to be what the lavender oil forgeries are best suited for.

I was very satisfied with this lavender essential oil
I was very satisfied with this lavender essential oil. The brand Now lives up to its reputation once more with a high quality, very pure oil -- (I did not do the paper drop test but I have used enough essential oils to develop a pretty good intuition for recognizing a diluted product from a pure one, and I was not surprised to see this confirmed in some of the other reviews here). Aromatherapy allows a pretty wide range of uses, and I found myself pulling out this bottle more often than I thought I would, to mix a few drops with a neutral smelling aftersun lotion or make a DIY room mist. In terms of smell, I found that this product was not as floral (as sweet, if you can call it that?) as the smell of lavender that you usually find in beauty products or other brands of essential oils. While it does make the aroma a bit stronger and greener which some might not like, I did not find this problematic. In fact it smelled all the more natural to me, like lavender from a garden rather than a shampoo bottle. Now the bottle itself I found to be a good size for a frequent user since it's quite large as essential oil containers usually go, but this 1-oz product allows us to really get our money's worth. Finally, I found that even though the brand Now isn't particularly known for fancy packaging, the apothecary look they give to the products (with an image of the plant and the latin name below) makes you appreciate all the more the oil's quality and its health value. This product has found its place on my bathroom shelf.

Good quality oil, glass bottle has a built in dropper - no spills :), smells great!
I'd buy again. Reasonable price for 1oz and I appreciate the packaging. 1 oz glass bottle wrapped in bubblewrap for shipping. The first things I noticed: the clarity of the label, the product's purity rating, and its origin (Made in the USA); all are clearly noted. I couldn't smell any lavender with the bottlecap screwed on tightly. When I unscrewed the cap and broke the seal, I immediately noticed the plastic dropper insert. The lavender oil smells good and consistent with my idea of lavender. The lavender aroma is noticeable with the cap screwed on loosely. I'm happy with the fact that the product comes with a plastic bottle dropper insert; I can be clumsy. I tested the flow of the oil by tipping the bottle top to my hand and noted that the plastic dropper insert does its job to regulate the flow, one drop at a time. Again, that's good to know. Why waste? One drop of this oil is fragrant and can be easily rubbed into your hands and fingers. It's a light oil, however; the scent dissipates within 30 minutes . The label clearly notes ingredients as 100% pure lavender oil and offers instructions for aromatherapy use, and includes suggestions to dilute the product with other "carrier oils" for other uses. 5 star rating because I don't see any real flaws.

Step up your beauty regimen game with essential oils!
As part of my natural hair journey - 4C low porosity - I decided to start making my own hair products as opposed to buying them. Aside from the natural properties that essential oils supposedly have, the fragrance compared to a lot of store bought products quite frankly cannot be matched. Who doesn't like smell of lavender! Making sure that an essential oil does not have any fillers or additional chemicals in it is key. NOW has a great reputation for making pure essential oils. Thus, I could not be happier. While I have only been using these for less than a month, I am more than satisfied with the change. A 1 oz. bottle is more than enough because with lavender you will need just 12 drops per 1/4 cup of a carrier oil (I use grapeseed). The bottle does not come with a dropper, but the special lid on the inside controls how many drops. If you get a couple extra in there it doesn't matter. I mixed lavender with rosemary, peppermint, and neem. 12 drops each in a 1/4 cup of grapeseed for a scalp treatment. I don't rinse it out. I made a similar hair oil but added flax seed oil. It's still great smelling and is an awesome sealant for twist/braid outs. My hair also still smells great up to wash day. I also don't have as much buildup, which makes washing easier. However, the greatness of the lavender oil doesn't stop there! I started adding a couple drops to my unscented whipped argan oil body butter. It provides a lovely scent without being overpowering plus I get all the awesome natural powers of lavender. It is really is nice to smell more floral than manufactured. My family also enjoyed the smell. I am sure at one point I will start adding a couple drops to my oil room diffuser. I highly recommend everyone start using essential oils as part of their beauty products.

I really like it and am using it on a burn now ...
I really like it and am using it on a burn now and it's better than aloe vera anything! I wear it with the orange scent as perfume and I often get a compliment on it and women try to guess the fragrance. They say "you smell good". Then they try to guess the scent and sometimes figure out the lavender, but not the orange. It's fun to wear. It makes me feel happy.

Love the oils and the customer service!
I LUV Now oils. Especially the lavender and eucalyptus. I have NEVER had an issue with any of their products. I received one bottle last week that seemed "off", maybe it sat too long. Anyway...the company immediately sent out a new bottle for me without even waiting to receive the original bottle ordered. I appreciate it because I use these oils everyday and I make all kinds of products for the body! Thank you for making this right promptly!!

Made some Wonderful Soap
I purchased this to use with some of my homemade soap. Different soap bases, fats, end up smelling a little bit different when essential oils are used. I decided to start with a smaller amount of oil with a small amount of soap. After the soap set, I cut it apart and smelled it. It was very subtle yet very pleasant. I increased the amount of oil for the next batch and it was much more pleasant. It did slightly change the color palate of my soap, but because I make natural soap and use natural soap dyes, I adjusted my colorants to make the soap the color I liked. It was easy to pour, and the cap was welled secured. But it wasn't hard to open and the label is very clear and it is easy to read and I can tell which oil I have when I pick it up. The brown bottle keeps the ultra violet light out from the sun so the oil stays fresher longer. Over all I am pleased with this essential oil and the quality for soap making. Because of the saponification process, some soaps need a little more essential oils. It also arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. This is a good quality product to use and most people that use essential oils for common uses will like it too, but that is my opinion. But I feel like you can't do wrong with price and quality.

Great Product
I was a little apprehensive to order based on some of the reviews but I can say that I am very happy with my purchase. The 4oz bottle came well padded in bubble wrap. The bottle was factory sealed. The product inside seems to be legit, no off odor or strange consistency. My only complaint is that this bottle doesn’t come with a dropper top or pipette. However, that’s the way the manufacturer sells it so that’s not Amazon or the seller’s fault. Luckily I had an old bottle topper pipette that fit the bottle perfectly so I lucked out there. Very happy with my purchase. Great value for the price. I would say take the chance because some of us are receiving quality products. Worst case, Amazon will help make it right if by chance you receive a bad bottle.
