I love this
I used this to make my brother's Christmas present a while back, and I can say I am very happy with the results. The clay is easy to work with and doesn't have a super strong smell. Wear gloves when you first mix the two because it's very sticky at first but once they are fully mixed the stickiness fades. The best part about this clay is that you can use water to smooth it just like with earth clay, and it goes through several stages of hardness allowing you to work different details at different times. Soft enough at first to mold and harder later for carving and detail work. You get about two hours of pliable working and a few more hours after that of being able to carve it. Once it's fully hard it's basically like plastic. It sticks well to Styrofoam, which is what I used as the armature for my head. Since I'm a slow worker I had to do certain parts in stages, but no worries because this stuff sticks to itself even when dry so you don't have to do it all at once. I will be using again for future projects!

Multipurpose medium for myriad of uses
Finally got around to using this for a test project (outdoor|weather safe dragon eggs) and imho they turned out pretty great. The only thing left in question is its durability outside, so I will update this in the future. Follow the directions and you should be good to go. This is a really cool product that's relatively easy to use, even for first time users like me. If you have never used it before I recommend mixing a small portion at first so you can figure out how much you can handle at once before it hardens, especially for a detailed project. At first I found it a little difficult to mix the two parts together (I covered a section of my granite countertop with plastic wrap and rolled/kneaded it until it was a consistent color) but it got easier to work as it gradually became more incorporated. For my application of smoothing a thin layer over a plastic egg during the first hour was very easy as the texture was soft and very pliable (I'd compare it to pottery clay), but for adding texture (I used an object to press into the Apoxie sculpt) I had to let it sit for an extra 15-20 min, by then it was firm enough to hold an impression without pulling up. I'm very pleased with the results, I already intend to buy some more for another craft project I have in mind =)

Great for customization!
EXCELLENT for customizing Funko Pop vinyls and even making sculptures of your own! Excellent to paint on as well! It's not exactly "white" as the description says, but it's a grayish colour. It has a longer working time than I expected it to have, and (for me, anyways) it works a bit better when it has at least 4 minutes of kneading so it's not so "sticky" once you start to work with it. A little bit goes a LONG way, and it dries super heavy - almost the weight of cement (take that into consideration if you use it to customize your Funko Pop) but it also has the durability of cement.I did a mini version of my family and I as well as a little bunny out of some extra sculpt I had mixed up.Always mix a little at a time because you can always mix up more later, but if you end up mixing up too much, you'll end up with leftover, wasted product (or product you can turn into a mini sculpture, if it's still pliable). I still have a lot to learn about how to use both the Funko vinyls and the Apoxie sculpt, but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I still have a BUNCH in the containers. Overall, great product and I can't wait to learn more about it!

Super fix for antique bisque dolls and many other things
I love this stuff! I restore small antique bisque dolls. This is wonderful for filling in cracks and even repairing holes. I had been using Miliput for repair, but read this is harder, and thought I’d try it. Apoxie is not bright white, but more of a slight grayish white, almost exactly the color of 100 year old bisque dolls. The only thing I can compare this to is epoxie putty, but you have 2-3 hours to work instead of 5 minutes. Once it dries overnight, it’s hard as a rock and ready to sand if needed. While uncured you can wet your finger or tool and smooth it out. I have used both enamel and acrylic paint after curing, then seal it. Only try to mix what you are going to use, because you can’t save the rest. I make tiny doll Easter eggs if I have a bit left. :) The only way Miliput is superior is that you can wrap the leftover bits tight in plastic wrap, then a baggie, freeze and use later as a crayon filler by wetting. i will say if you need something to be bright white without painting Miliput will do that. I make sure to close my jars tightly and I store them in the refrigerator. For my purpose these jars will last forever if they don’t dry out. This is also great for repairing resin pieces. I highly recommend Apoxie Sculpt. I waited until I had used it awhile before reviewing and hope this helps someone.

Boaters, DIYers, this is the new HOLY GRAIL
I know, people here think that this stuff is expensive. And that is because they are ARTISTS, not BOATERS. Wait until someone take the same product and puts it in a box written "marine" on it, you'll see. For a boater, this stuff is a hidden gem. I was looking for a better alternative than the overpriced marine-tex and other crappy epoxy available in the marine world, not even because of the price, but because of: 1/ the crazy toxicity of the marine products 2/ the ridiculously short working time 3/ the hard to smooth, impossible to shape texture 4/ the necessity to sand forever after it dries (because you couldn't get it perfectly to shape). 5/ the waste of half of the product on the mixing surface and mixing stick, and the other half while sanding the excess (yes, I know, that makes 100%. I'm exaggerating, but just a little) THIS PRODUCT IS A MIRACLE. Let me list here the amazing benefits of this product: 1/ it is epoxy. This means super strong, waterproof, UV-resistant, can be used inside, outside, underwater, under the water line, on wood, on fiberglass, on metal, on whatever you throw at it. Epoxy rules. 2/ it is EASY to mix and work with. As easy as play-doh. 3/ it is VERY EASY to smooth/shape/blend! just put soapy water on your finger and it becomes a magic wand. you can blend pieces together, smooth them out, just by passing a finger on top. Crazy. 4/ there is a GREAT working time of over 2 hours. No rush, mistakes can be corrected easily. 5/ there is virtually NO WASTE, as every little piece of it can be collected and reused (within the 2 hours). This makes this product infinitely cheaper than any other epoxy mix, where the waste is the major part of the product. 6/ it doesn't create an expensive mess. It is easy to clean, easy to apply, easy, easy, easy. 7/ it SAVES A TON OF TIME. The ability to smooth it, reuse it, cut it, modify it, work on it without rushing, makes it possible to create a finish product in one step, with no need for sanding, no need for cleaning (both can be very time consuming with regular epoxy / fiberglass). 8/ it is NOT TOXIC like other epoxy! No crazy fumes when mixing, and the product won't burn a hole through your hands if you hold it. In fact, you can be in direct contact without feeling anything, and cleaning your hands after is a breeze. No more working with a respirator and gloves! As a disclaimer, I'd say that I don't know for a fact that it is not toxic, but it doesn't feel or smell toxic in any way. If you've been working with marine-tex, you'll know what i mean. 9/ Of course it dries by itself, which is normal for an epoxy, but I guess that if you're an artist, you care about that (as opposed to clay). This stuff is my new religion. Seriously. One thing, though: it is NOT WHITE. it is a light shade of gray, very pleasant, but not a white. However, it is epoxy, and can be tinted, painted, stained, varnished, whatever you need to do to color match (which is always necessary anyways, even for white on white). BOATER FELLOW, DIYers, Homeowners, BUY THIS STUFF! As for artists, I don't know how it compares to other products, but my guess is that it will be pretty hard to beat this champ.

like jewelry making
You can even use it for crafts, like jewelry making! I have started to make jewelry for fun last month so it is not that good, but this Epoxy clay works amazing!

I love Apoxie Sculpt!
I love this stuff, I use it for everything. I made some ceramic jewelry and did not make end pieces to attach bracelet findings, so I crafted them out of this stuff, painted it (any paint would do), but I was using inktense blocks on the ceramic pieces and did same with the apoxie pieces, turned out wonderful. Then bought an old chandelier and it needed some leaves, so I made them out of this stuff and then painted them as well. You might think polymer clay might do, but you couldn't get a whole chandelier in oven, LOL, this stuff air dries, can be sanded, drilled, painted and no discernible shrinkage. I always have this on hand ---it is my go to material for so many applications.

You've Gotta Get Some of This Stuff!
I needed a filler to fix a broken porcelain doll. After reading the reviews for this product, I decided to give it a try....It's awesome! It was easy to work with after mixing. I used both my fingers and various sculpting tools and it held up beautifully. It cured overnight and I was able to sand it easily. Then I airbrushed the doll and the paint adhered to and covered the Apoxie nicely. I loved working with it and have thought of all kinds of projects to use it on.

This stuff is AMAZING
This is such an awesome invention! I used it to make vintage DIY signs for my shop but considering it’s properties there are so many other possible uses for it around the home. You do need to learn the various stages of the hardening process to be able to judge when to do what. Not hard to get a hang of though and there are YouTube videos with tips so look out for those. If you need to roll it out flat sandwich it between parchment paper.

I like it
This is not my first purchase of Apoxie sculpt. I really like using it. It stays where you put it without glue. It works well when you shape it into arms, legs or leaves. If it gets too soft dip it in Ice water. Work with small amounts, because when it starts to set up there is no way to stop or reverse the process that I have found. I have mixed it with oil paint and I have painted it with Acrylic paint after after I attached it to what ever, Mostly gourds,. I was pleased with both methods. The vine and leaves on the handle are Apoxie Sculpt.
