Used this to mount my 7 inch garmin fish finder to the boat. It did not come with any hardware so I had to run to lowes and get all of them. Other than that, a great quality product from ram mount. It says it holds up to 5 lbs and my garmin maxes it out. It is also easy to unscrew for easy put up. Very happy and will purchase a other one for future electronics.

Worked perfect for my Garmin locator. Allowed me to rotate and move my locator as desired. No need for second locator at front of boat now. Base is fairly small so in my older boat I used a sheet of diamond plate on top of my thin metal console to provide reinforcement.

This mount is as advertised, great price. Using it to hold my new Lowrance Hook 2/7 Tripleshot. Price was great and next day shipping. Can’t beat that!

Used this on my Garmin Striker 7sv. The holes are a perfect match! Holds the unit exactly where i want it.

I wanted a 7 inch fishfinder, not a 5 like the dash of my pontoon is made for. So I needed a mount to put the fishfinder at the side. The boat manufacturer apparently anticipated this because there was a wood block to screw into so mounting was easy. It works well. Moving it around requires tightening or loosening the clamp sometimes but it works fine.

This is a must have for a fish finder. I've heard of RAM mounts for years, but was just too stubborn to buy one. Well, after owning one, I regret not doing so sooner. They are heavy duty and extremely solid. Yet, the design is brilliant and they maneuver easily for rotation. Make life easier on yourself on the water and buy a RAM mount.

Can't give it a low rating as the product itself seems to be of good quality. But as an FYI to anyone reading the reviews the mounting holes on the Helix 5 do not line up with any of the factory holes on the Universal RAM Mount RAM-B-111U-C. So this time I researched a little longer and found RAM Mounts offers multiple models specifically designed for the Helix 5 and ordered RAP-202-153-202 rather then drilling holes in the universal one.

Installed a bigger Garmin fish/depth finder unit with this and it works well. This is mounted on a pontoon so it's not exposed to a lot of bouncing and rough riding. I would say if you're mounting a big fish finder on a bass boat you may want to step up to the stronger mount as rough water may allow it to move too much.

Had to mount my Hook 2.5 diagonally on the plate to get two screw holes to align but it is very secure and holds very nicely with adjustable tension. Love the fact that I can easily unplug it and remove the plate when the fish finder is not in use to prevent theft or damage. Amazon pricing on these is really good.

Works great and it very sturdy!!!
