Cool Dinosaur Floor Puzzle for the Little Ones!

These puzzles are a lot of fun for kids. We bought several of these sets over the years and they were great for both of our girls (ages 3 and 6) as they grew up. We originally bought them for our oldest daughter and they lasted long enough for our youngest to start using them when she was about 2 1/2 years old. This is a 2 foot by 3 foot floor puzzle. It has a Dinosaur Theme and has 24 large pieces. It is really fun to put together and has great art and bright colors. The picture includes several cool looking, multi-colored dinosaurs along a volcano erupting in the background. It is a great first puzzle set that is easy to use for little ones and it teaches them how to start recognizing how puzzle pieces go together. The bigger pieces are easier for them to use as they develop their hand/eye coordination. The puzzles have been surprisingly sturdy over the years after a lot of play time (abuse). They have been used as a dance floor by my girls quite often. The pieces get bent up a little after all the stomping, but they are thick and sturdy enough where they still fit together fine. Be aware, the prices from some Secondary Amazon Sellers can be more than $20 in some cases. We paid around $12 for each puzzle on Amazon, and found a few even cheaper when they were on sale locally. Make sure to shop around. Overall, these are really fun, high quality puzzles. It is amazing how well kids can do with these even when they are very young. I was always amazed when my 2 1/2 year old could put the whole thing together in to time flat after a little practice. Once my girls got really good at these, they just loved the positive reinforcement and praise on a job well done. Highly Recommended!

Fun Puzzle for Pre-Schooler

My 4 y.o. really enjoys this puzzle. It's a good starter puzzle. She still needs some help to complete it, but is also able to put together some of it on her own.

Love it

We love all things Melissa & Doug. These puzzles are pretty awesome for my 3 & 5 year olds. They are large floor ones that make it less frustrating than the little ones, I think.

Two thumbs up

My 2 1/2 year old grandchild loves this puzzle. It is a little challenging for him to put together, but he can do it and enjoys every minute of it. He never seems to grow tired of putting it together, taking it apart and putting it back together again. He just took this puzzle to his home so I'm buying a new version for our house (the Dory puzzle). So, two thumbs up for this style of puzzle.

Pretty great puzzle for a 2.5 year old who loves dinosaurs (although it says 3+ age in the box). The pieces are vibrant in color and well-made. Also, it has held up pretty well even in the hands of a toddler.

Melissa and Doug make great toys and this is no exception. It's a huge puzzle. I plan on framing it for my sons room because it's so cute

Let's face it... you can't go wrong with any of the Melissa and Doug products. This puzzle is awesome, especially for little fingers. I can't buy them fast enough for our 3 year old granddaughter who loves them! She already recognizes "straight sides", "corners" and "middle pieces" and with a little help puts these together nicely. She'll even look at the picture of the puzzle on the box to help with her puzzle piece placements. Just doing these puzzles will help make a smart kid even smarter!

These puzzle pieces are colorful and very pleasing to the eye. Great choice for an e tray large piece puzzle or for crafting.

Good quality puzzle

Good quality puzzle, sturdy nice sized pieces, nice bright colors. Challenging enough to create interest, yet easy enough so as not to frustrate my 4 year old grandson. First time he "needed" and wanted my help. But since that time, he has put together on his own and enjoyed it and has been very proud of his ability to do so. He's taken it apart and put back together at least half a dozen times in 3 days, so I'd say he likes it!
