Great for Corrections
I am a corrections officer and purchased this for completing checks on residents in their cells. It is perfect for the job. It fits nicely in the pen pocket of my tactical pants, and I actually like that the light is hard to click all the way on. I press down on it for a momentary flash of light then release. The light is sufficient for illuminating a dark cell through the small thick windows for observation. I can clearly see my assigned residents without blinding/waking them. A few of them have stated they like this light as opposed to the larger Streamlights I use. So far this has lasted a month on overnights without needing a new battery and I have also dropped it once on concrete with no issue

Best penlight I’ve owned yet!
So far, this light is great. I’ve had a couple other pen style lights such as thorfire and nitecore and both left me looking for something else. I believe this one will fit the bill. I carry mine in my front pants pocket. A problem with this is some style of light is easily turned on while bending down. The streamlight tail clicker is just strong enough to prevent accidental battery drainage. It’s bright enough for anything I’ll ever need a pen light for and the advertised battery life would be excellent but haven’t been able to test that yet. Also, I find that the single AAA lights tend to fall out of my pocket and also too easily come out when I pull out my phone which gets carried in the same pocket. I could deal with having a LOW/HIGH option but I’m very happy with the single brightness.

Another Streamlight WINNER!
I've been a Streamlight fan for a few years now. I've had 2 of the single AAA battery models that I can't be without at least 1 at all times. So much light for such a small device. Both have been EXTREMELY reliable. If the switch gets "quirky", I just unscrew the cap & give a quick shot of WD-40 & it's like new again. NOW, I have a 2 AAA batt. version. Just like the little ones, only MUCH brighter. Still very light weight so it's easy to hold in my mouth for light when I don't have a free hand. The switch on the one I got was very stiff & I didn't like it at 1st. But A shot of WD-40 fixed that. Still stiffer than the single batt. model but not a problem. I carry it in my pants pocket all the time & you can't tell it's there. Battery life is amazing for both sizes. Also, I'm impressed by the QUALITY of construction.

Bright, bright light! Better than most big flashlights!
This is not what I wanted, but I love this little flashlight and am keeping it. First, what I wanted was a flashlight that I could use to improve being able to see very tiny numbers on tubes in newborn, critically ill babies. This flashlight is inappropriate for that function, because the light is simply too bright. I cannot hold this flashlight up near my own face, even with my eyes covered with a dark cloth, without it hurting my eyes. Yes, it is that bright! That said, this is a fantastic little flashlight that I intend to keep in my purse for those random emergencies or times when you need a flashlight. The beam lights up a whole room! Within 24 hours of getting it I ended up needing it to see the tiny serial number on the back of my cable box while talking to tech support and couldn't believe how easy I could read it with this light. I do want to make a statement about the complaints in other reviews that this light is hard to turn on and off. If it were easier to turn on and off, then it would be constantly turning on in my purse and the battery would be drained when I needed it most. And it's not really very hard at all to turn on and off. I'm nearing retirement age and am not very strong at all, plus I have significant arthritis, and I can easily turn this flashlight on and off. I have no problem with it at all.

Best for edc
I've been using the stylus pro for my edc since about 2010. This is my 5th one and 3rd gen. The 1st one I got was only 48 lumens, then a few years back it was 65 lumens, now the 90 lumens! They are durable, i must have dropped them about 100+ times between waist to shoulder height. The only thing is that the push button does go out after 2-3 years. Where you would have to tap the light to turn on sometime. This happened to 2 of them. I wouldn't say they are medical grade, but i did use it during the birth of my first born! The hospital light was getting too hot so we used the stylus pro... True story, even gave the doctor a new stylus pro on one of the checkups. Pic of my 3 remaining pens (top 1st gen, middle 2nd, and bottom 3rd gen). My very first one from 2010 still works just fine.

Worth the price of admission
This light has a high quality finish and feel. The casing is solid. There’s nothing cheap about it. The beam is super bright 90 lumens. It even comes with a mesh belt pouch and 2 AAA Energizer batteries. Now let’s compare it to the Coast G20: Advantages to Stylus Pro: -brightness (90L versus 36) -pure white beam whereas G20 has a bit of a blueish tint. -compact (which is relative; they are both compact) -you can turn the light on without clicking it on -comes with batteries Advantages to G20: - a solid circle of light whereas streamlight beam is brightest at center then dissipates outward; this is nice for focusing on a particular object as everything outside that circle will not be illuminated - price Clarity & definition of objects: -both are excellent; Stylus has an edge due to luminosity advantage Build quality: -both seem to be high quality, solid, and tough. Grip: -the Stylus is a smooth barrel. The Coast has cross hatch texturing and cutouts on two sides. Both feel grippy enough I wouldn’t worry about holding onto them. Battery life: Haven’t owned either long enough to comment. Overall: They are both worth the price of admission on Amazon. Is the stream light worth 2x the Coast? Maybe. Depends on your personal preference? Will you be disappointed in either? No.

Best Pen light I've ever seen
I ordered this streamlight stylus after purchasing the Milwaukee pen light and the Coast pen light among many others. The Coast light is extremely bright and very focused, almost too tight of a beam for the brightness. Makes it difficult to use in tight quarters. The Milwaukee however seemed to be the perfect combination of bright and focused beam but has a less than white color. I believed that a pen light couldn't improve on the pattern, brightness and light color of the Milwaukee and it was my go to for several months. Out of curiosity and the prime day sale, I figured I give the Streamlight stylus a shot. All I can say is good bye Milwaukee! The Stylus Pro is absolutely fantastic, clear white light, extremely bright and the beam pattern is absolutely fabulous for working in every condition from under a dashboard, in the engine bay, inside wheel wells to wide open spaces. I am extremely happy with the Stylus Pro and won't use another pen light, I don't believe there is anything better.

Excellent EDC. Use it very regularly.
Always wanted to EDC a flashlight, but figured it would be too bulky to do so. Now I carry one all the time and it's no issue. Quicker to get out than your phone camera, and bright enough to use in the dark on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Seriously. I was illuminating trees 100 yards away pretty easily. It's small but it is a real flashlight. I wish I had thought to take a photo of how much it can light up a dark field. People laugh and say "why do you carry a flashlight" until they try to find something in the dark with their phone. Then they ask where to buy one. It's also extremely tough. I live in North Dakota, and due to the pen pocket I was keeping it in on my work pants, it slipped out twice as I exited my car and spent 15 or so hours laying in the snow in -20f with no issues. I also use it as a little pry bar and hammer pretty regularly. Lots of dings on the finish now. Wish I could give it 20 stars. The best part is it is cheap enough to replace should you lose it.

Same great quality!
First of all let me say that I didn't receive a free light for a review. I'm speaking from my 9 years of experience with Streamlight. I bought my first microstream 9 years ago. It was my first EDC flashlight. It was no frills, but it worked. It always worked. It was simple. It wasn't the brightest and it didn't have the most modes, but it always worked and it never failed me. So I bought a 2nd microstream when I noticed that the lumens have been bumped up. It has served me well for 4 years, just like my first one did (and still does). I recently switched jobs and required more lumens at my new job. The microstream is perfect for daily tasks, but I found myself actually needing more light for once. So I bought the Streamlight Stylus Pro. What an awesome light. It's plenty bright. Many times we get wrapped up in what's the brightest light, when in actuality, we don't need blinding light. This light puts out about 90 lumens and will probably out last any other AAA light on the market for burn time. I was concerned that the quality has changed over the years, but to my surprise, it has not! Streamlight is still pumping out the same high quality lights as ever. If you want something that turns on when you want, get this light. For 19 bucks it's a done deal.
