Dog proof

We have the large version for our kitchen and it has worked wonders for keeping our greyhound out of the trash. Very easy to clean and matches our stainless steel appliances nicely. After a few issues with our dog getting into the bathroom trash can, we caved and purchased the small size for our bathroom. These are a bit pricier than some other alternatives with lids, but our dog was able to figure out how to get into the others. Worth the extra cost and see these lasting for a long time.

Perfect for litter box duties

I really love this little trash can. I’m using it in the cat room where there’s often stinky trash from canned food and litter box nuggets. It’s bigger than my old one so when I go scooping all our boxes I just remove this from the bin and take the inside portion with me around to scoop them all. Holds much more than my other standard bathroom trash can I was using. The only improvement I would wish for would be a little handle on the inside bin.

Works well for cat litter, does absorb odors

Grocery store shopping bags do fit this trash can, but not quite as well as the expensive bags simplehuman sells specifically to fit this model. I use it for cat litter, and the plastic lid and plastic bucket have absorbed some gnarly odors that are apparent even after washing the inside. With the lid closed it does not smell. For our one small cat, it holds a week of waste and litter, including a full change of the box. It does not have a soft-close hinge damper, but I'm not sure it needs one.

Very sturdy well made garbage

This seems like a very good quality garbage can. It is a little pricey but worth it because some of the cheaper ones are not as sturdy. It came with a few of the perfect sized bags as an extra on the inside. I can’t vouch for whether or not it is durable yet because I just received it. I had been in my daughters bathroom for over a month and is working very well. I think it is worth the money by the looks of its construction.

Great trash can

This trash can fits perfectly in the narrow space between my fridge and my counter, it holds grocery store bags well, and provides just enough room for a single person's kitchen trash. I especially love the hooks on each end, which are perfectly designed to fit the handles of my grocery bags. I think it would be too small for more than one person, but it works great for me. I also like that the stainless steel doesn't smudge easily, so it still looks great after using it for a few weeks.

Easy to clean, great design, looks great.

This is a great bathroom can. Others have noted it is thin or cheaper metal and plastic top. I have several of this style can. The all plastic ones from other companies are very poorly made and look terrible. A rectangular can is the most space efficient and the plastic top on this one lends to easy clean up and use. I have the same model with the metal top. It looks nice, but the plastic is easier to clean and is cheaper. Regarding the metal being thin...the sides are thin and somewhat flexible. But, it looks nice and I'm not using this in a way that allows it to get dented. It sits by the side of the sink in a bathroom and looks fine. It arrived well padded and no dings. Great for cat litter, LID STAYS OPEN, works with shopping bags

YES, IT WORKS WITH SHOPPING BAGS. YES, THE LID STAYS OPEN ON ITS OWN. It took me a ridiculously long amount of time to try to find a garbage can for cat litter that had the following criteria: works with shopping bags, and the lid stays open while I use it. The answered questions here can't seem to decide (it works or it doesn't) so I finally bought this can hoping for a miracle. Writing this review solely for people like me who just want those two answers as clear as possible. - Works with shopping bags. Smaller ones can be tougher to stretch over the outside handles but it still works fine. Standard QFC, Walmart, etc bags all work 100% fine. Yes, you can see a bit of it on the outside, but if you're like me and are using this for cat litter, who cares? See pic for how it looks closed with a shopping bag. Also included a pic of the inside can (pulled out of the silver outer can) with a store bag attached. - The lid does stay open on its own. If you use the pedal it comes down slowly on its own, but all you have to do is tap it backwards a bit and it stays open. You can also very easily open the lid with your hand/it stays open. See pic for proof that it indeed does stay open on its own. - Someone in another review suggested getting a specific magnetic caddy to stick on the outside for a cat litter scoop. I couldn't find it available currently, and spent hours trying to find an alternate that would fit the size of my scoop. As it turns out it wasn't even necessary. The scoop fits comfortably inside the can. Obviously you wouldn't want to store it handle-side-down for cleanliness reasons, but since the existing litter is at the bottom of the bag, I see no reason to not do this (and the chore requires washing your hands after anyways, so...). It comfortably fits when the bag is maybe up to 1/3rd full. More than that? Still no big deal, the lid can be 'ajar' on top of the can poking up an inch and it still won't pop open on its own. I haven't had any issues with smell in that case either. NOTE: the attached image of the closed lid does have the cat scoop in there. tl;dr this is a really great can that was exactly what I needed for cat litter. Fits in a small space, looks way nicer than a random bucket, has a lid, the lid stays open, store bags work and have the attachment for the handles that keep it in place, the scoop fits inside. I have 3 cats/2 catboxes that I scoop daily - I replace the bag when it's around 2/3 full (lasting a few days). Feel free to ask questions, I found researching this to be very difficult due to there not being many about the cat litter use case + conflicting answers on things like the lid.

Great bathroom or office trash cans

These are great bathroom trash cans or office trash cans. I purchased two of them and they fit great in my bathrooms. The lid opens and closes quietly. It has an inner basket to put the bag (this bucket is removable). This came with trash bags but I plan on buying regular garbage bags to put in them which from what I can tell they should fit just fine. It’s fits great between the toilet and the cabinets. —— I will add photos when I get A chance——

Fits nicely in a small space

Bought this for the master bath and I will be buying another for the guest bath soon. It fits nicely in a tight space and the dog can't find her way in to any mischievous trouble with this one. Some reviewers were concerned about the right garbage bags to use and some folks recommending a particular bag to purchase for this can. We are using plastic grocery bags and they work just fine. I'm not so particular about the garbage bag showing. I mean, it's a garbage can, right? I also didn't see any need to spend more for a stainless steel looking lid either. Great purchase, highly recommend!

Good product for the price

Fits well by my toilet. It even came with some nice bags.
