my 9 month old kitten was having severe diarrhea and dark stool of course took him to the vet asap he got a initial antibiotic and was prescribed this vet said he had inflammation and maybe ibs , OMG in less than a month he has become so much healthier, normal stool, putting on healthy amount of weight, much much better all around back to his crazy kitten self , and he loves it he eats the whole dish clean which is a full can of cat food , I am so happy I found this product and Amazon has the best price believe me with 13 rescues I know prices..lol that's him in the picture huge at only 9 months old..so thankful for this product

My 23 year old & 21 year old cats LOVE this product and definitely feel friskier!!!

Our 16 year old tabby, Boomer, has been fighting kidney failure for the past 6 years. I started adding this to his food after seeing it mentioned on a website dedicated to feline kidney failure. Less than a week later, he was due for a full range blood work up. The vet called me and was completely shocked. All of his numbers were normal or just on the high side of normal and his creatinine level was lower than it's been in years. My vet knew nothing about this product. Clearly, someone's not keeping with their medical literature! I found that I don't even have to put this on his food. I can just pour it into his bowl and he'll go face down until it's gone. For those of you who's cats have kidney/urinary issues, you know getting them eat is a chore. This has helped on more than one front. Boomer's eating more and his numbers are "normal with a lower creatinine level." This product gets two opposable thumbs and one paw up.

Purina Fortiflora is normally an excellent product, but beware of counterfeit versions being sold on Amazon. I've been buying this product online and from my vet for years. My cat has always loved it; he comes running whenever I open a packet. It seems to help the occasional digestive issue which may or not be caused by his outdoor bug and gecko hunting. The latest version I bought through Amazon was sold by "Tennilles Great Deal". The color was yellow (instead of the normal light brown color with white specks), and the smell was different. My cat had no interest in it. I called Purina to find out if they had changed the formula, and I was informed that I received a fraudulent product.

My 10-year old tortie has high blood pressure and CKD, had lost her appetite, and was losing weight despite trying every available canned food, raw diet, and even chicken breast. After several months she stopped taking the pill pockets, and I felt like I was torturing her to pill her twice daily. In desperation I tried this FortiFlora and it was a complete 180! She will eat anything I sprinkle this on! Pill pockets, canned food, dry, anything. Haven't tried a flip flop yet, but I bet she would. Placed one of her doctored pill pockets on the carpet and the two other cats came over half an hour later and licked the spot bare. Sprinkle just a small amount on the top of a serving and she starts eating and doesn't stop until the bowl is clean. This stuff is amaze balls!!! Since it is so expensive, and since I'm only doing this to stimulate her appetite and get her to take her meds, I only sprinkle a little bit, enough to do the job. One packet can last an entire week this way, which makes it more cost effective. As it was my last hope, this very literally saved her life.

If I could give 10 stars on this product, I would! I am calling it the magical mystery tour powder as my wildest hopes were met last night when my very sick kitty, Beau, gobbled up some very "healthy" wet food with the Fortiflora sprinkled on it. Beau has FIBD and only wanted to eat the "bad for him" wet food that probably got him into this medical predicament. (Along with his Mommy's lack of wisdom about a no carb kitty lifestyle.) I'm eventually going to try transitioning Beau to a raw diet with the help of Fortiflora. This is an answer to my prayers! Thank you, Purina, for making Fortiflora! Beau is resting comfortably now on his Kitty Cot and my heart is full of joy.

We adopted a rescue kitten 14 years ago, so if you are reading this you may be in the same sort of situation, a Cat lover with an elderly cat not eating. We had no idea what was wrong. We took Bella to a wonderful state of the art vet clinic. She was on IVs for 2 days. Her blood and X-rays came back with no noticeable anamolies. We took her back home. Wouldn’t eat. Tried everything from chicken broth to her favorite foods. I expressed this order and had it the next day. Poured it by itself into a bowl as I had read ā€œcats just love it as isā€. That quote proved to be correct for our cat 😺. You can basically sprinkle it on any wet food, I would assume dry as well if you feed your cat dry. When I go to the box to get a packet in the morning. She goes ā€œcat bananasā€ 😽 and I just sprinkle it on her food. It’s only been a few days but the results have been astounding.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share just how much this product helped my cat. He is an older cat I found him when he was quite young,he was skittish, and feral in behavior he had suffered some kind abuse I think from a man, as he has always been terrified of men it took me months to calm him down enough to pet him even. His first visit to the vet was a nightmare for the vet and his staff he basically attacked all of them, a traumatic experience for all. Subsequent vet visits have produced the same behaviors. I tell you this so you will understand why I do not run to the vet every time he is sick, and instead try some home remedies first. For quite a while he has had loose stools which were getting progressively worse, until finally it was straight up diarrhea. I had tried everything I could think of, during this progression from changing his diet, to other otc well known cat diarrhea meds, etc, , in an attempt to get him better. At his age I genuinely feared taking him to the vets would give him a heart attack (or give our vet one, as he is no spring chicken himself), lol). I decided to try one last product before taking him in to the vets, this product, and I am here to tell you it works. Within a week my cat improved vastly, and now is 100% better, and back to being boss of the house, and undisputed king of his domain. I recommend this product without reservation, or hesitation. It really does work!

Short term, this products has worked quite well for our most finicky eater Oreo Cookie, We new she was a lite-weight, but recently at her annual check up, when the Vet said "she's under weight" and recommended ForiFlora for her, we were on board. Now Miss. Oreo Cookie show's more vim and vigor than before, has gained a bit of weight, and competes and plays well with all her other fur buddies. I mentioned it to my niece and she has had positive results with her skinny mini kitten too! Note, we do fear buying any China products for our furry family members, as we have lost a cat in the past from unexplained kidney failure. But we're glad we took a chance on this. I did request all ingredient origins from Purina but never got a response back.

Foxie has been throwing up once a day since she was 1, she will be 5 soon. Perfectly healthy cat and I couldn't figure it out. I had her on grain free food, I had her on sensitive stomach food, hairball control, even tried bone broth and cooked chicken. Nothing worked. I brushed her often. A vet recommended a different food, hairball paste, and this stuff. I opted for the paste first, didn't work so the food was next. I finally broke down a purchased a box of this and after just a few days of it she hasn't thrown up once. It has now been 6 days. I hate the cost of it and having to separate her from my other 3 to feed her in the morning, but it is worth it. I felt so bad for her all this time. The added expense is worth it. No more daily carpet scrubbing. UPDATE: A couple days ago I waited til 4:30 p.m. to give this to her, usually it is late morning, poor baby threw up 3 times that day before I gave it to her. I guess missing a day isn't an option. She also ate all of the powder one day before I could mix her food in it so that is good to know. Only problem with that was every time she breathed while she was licking the powder it spread out and got on the counter. Lol
