So far, so.good. I have a 24 pound senior dog and I needed a ramp for a couple of stairs going into the backyard as his back is delicate. The ramp doesn't have anything to hold it in place, but sturdy enough to stay in place. I placed it at the top of stairs and it works fine. The surface is rough, but my dog doesn't mind (not slippery, which is a plus). It is a bit narrow, but no problem for average/smaller dog.

I have a 2016 Jeep Renegade. I have a dog crate in the back for Maximus Decimus Meridius to stay safe in while we are driving. My Jeep is somewhat small, and the crate is somewhat large, so there is no room for him to simply jump into his "house" in the car. This ramp is the perfect solution. I've had no issues with traction that others have mentioned. I did not alter this ramp at all from the condition it arrived in. I did train him on it in the house, as previously recommended. First on the floor, then a low piece of furniture, then higher, etc.... Once he was comfortable on it, I left in the living room for an evening and he began using it as easy access to furniture he's already allowed on. The transition to my Jeep still took some treat filled coaxing - but once he got it, he loved it! It's light enough for me to handle alone. After he's safely in his car house, I fold the ramp, put in the back next to his house, and drive away. When we get where we're going, I easily unfold it, open his crate and he strolls down. I recommend having a dog that will "sit" on command and not jump all over when you're trying to fold it back up or open it up when alone. My biggest issue is that I fear I look like a dog-dork by having a ramp for my dog!

My 14 yr old mix is having a hard time jumping up my SVU. This is a great ramp. There are review to say that the anti-skid covering cause dog paw to bleed. I have no issue with my boy walking up and down on this. However, he has a tough paw. We have been doing 100-150 miles every week since he's a young pup. I suppose because he doesn't have tender paw, the anti-skid material did not harm his paw. Also, we are only using it for a couple of second going up and down my SVU -- this is a couple times a week. We don't have to use this multiple times a day yet at home as he's still able to climb into our bed.

This ramp is perfect for my mini dachshund. I searched and searched and decided to take a chance on this product, and glad I did. It took him a couple days to adjust to using a ramp, but he runs up and down it now! I use it for the back porch stairs, they are too steep for him without the ramp. It will definitely help protect his back!!! I see other people are complaining about the "rough sand paper" type of finish it has on it... it's for grip so the dog doesn't slip! It is fine and my dog doesn't even mind or even notice.

This ramp exceeded my expectations. I have a 13 year old dog with a recent shoulder injury and even though she's only 38 pounds, she hates being lifted which makes it that much harder. I have a two door jeep wrangler and since most of the reviews on this product are for SUV's, I had no idea how/if this would work. It's absolutely perfectly awesome and she took to it within a few minutes of guiding her with her leash. The no slip tread insures sure footing and instills confidence. It's lightweight and folds in half and easily fits inside the tailgate behind the backseat. Love, Love, Love this product!!!

Very happy with it ! Light weight, great grip, easy to use.

This is working great for us. We have a Subaru Forester which has a bit of a lower back hatch than larger SUVs so we didn't need a longer one. I did attach some carpet on the recommendation of another reviewer and I think it makes it work even better - more grip for the dogs.I got a rubber backed 2 x 6 foot rug from Walmart, cut it appropriately and attached it with two chunks of velcro to the top only, so it is free to bend when I fold up the ramp. Very lightweight. Both dogs use it. The more fearful dog I have to guide with the leash but I think she'll get the hang of it on her own pretty soon.

UPDATE: FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was missing a small part when I received my ramp. I sent an email which their customer service responded to immediately. They sent the replacement part immediately. All companies should learn to be like this one. I would purchase one of their products again based on their customer service alone. I like the ramp. It works very well for my 12.5 year old, 50 pound dog. Traction is fine. Width is perfect. Light weight and compact (for a ramp) ORIGINAL REVIEW: Missing Part! This ramp is exactly as described. Very lightweight and folds in half so doesn't take up a lot of room. My dog is, 50 pounds, in good shape but is twelve years old. I don't want him jumping up and down from my car. The traction is fine for my dog as is the width of the ramp. The ramp comes with a safety locking strap (per included instructions). It sounds like a good thing to have as the ramp can open unexpectedly if picked up wrong. I did not receive the safety locking strap. I have contacted Solvit customer service. When they send me a new safety locking strap i will change my rating to five stars.

A sturdy well made product and the little dogs loved it right away. But the length of this ramp was not long enough making it too steep for my 10 ten old 100 lb dog to climb. I needed a longer length ramp for big dog. I have a Ford Explorer and the back is 29". Be sure and check the length of the ramps for your specific auto or van. This one is good for suv's below 29" or as a van side ramp. Great product though. Had to return and find another ramp.

I did a lot of research into purchasing a dog ramp after we bought a new small SUV (VW Tiguan) that was too high off the ground for our 104lb., 10 year old mixed breed. I know a lot of dog people with different brands of ramps, but nothing compares to this folding ramp by Solvit. First, it only weighs 10 lbs.! I'm only 5' tall and entering senior years myself, so I didn't want anything too big and heavy. It's the perfect size to fit in the cargo area when our dog comes out or it easily goes behind one of the front seats when he's in the back. It's simple to use, simple to store, very sturdy and the surface is slip proof - even with a dog who walks half sideways :) I taught an old dog a new trick in about two attempts with a cookie upon landing and now he trots up with a wag and walks down like a gentlemen. If you're looking for a dog ramp for any size dog, this is a great choice.
