Great solution for carrying bicycles on the rear of your camper!
I bought this so we could use our receiver hitch bike rack on the rear of our Hybrid Expandable Camper. The bumper was 4" square, and this worked great. I had to mount it on the underside of the bumper however since there wasn't enough clearance on the top side. I also had to slide the spare tire holder down to one end. I use an extended receiver hitch and a slip over bike rack so I can extend the rack out beyond the spare tire. I worked great. I will keep an eye on the welds for the bumper. It seems very sturdy, but I've read that some aren't welded as good as others and there can be a lot of torque with the weight of 3-bikes hanging out 24-30" to the rear.

High quality and sturdy
We just completed a 400-mile trip with the Swagman bike rack mount on our trailer bumper, carrying two bicycles. The mount performed flawlessly, and I had no worries about it not being capable of supporting the loaded rack. The unit is heavy, welded steel which, with the torque the rack imposes on the receiver, is essential. That torque is also why the RV bumper must be continuously welded. The front to back space between the bolts is about 3/8" more than our bumper width. I'm going to keep an eye on the snugness to see if a shim may be necessary. One thing I would do differently would be to mount the unit so the receiver is under the bumper, instead of on top. That would lower the rack 4" and make it a bit easer to mount the bikes.

Regularly check your bolts and don't overload!
Easy to fix on with the four bolts, the big clue is to NOT over tighten it as you might well bend your bumper! (Ask us how we know!) HOWEVER our other advice is to check your bolts regularly as they do tend to come loose when loaded due to bumpy roads. The manufacture does state on the back of the adaptor that this is not for use with a fully loaded bike rack. When we use it with our bike rack we only put three bikes on there instead of the five that it can carry. Great product though and does the job it says it does!

Heavy duty quality
Mounted it to the back of our Class C RV and fits nice. Very heavy duty. Large bolts with thick steel plates. Our RV has a 2" receiver that we usually use for towing our car. We added this to the bumper and off center a couple feet and use it for a bike rack. It's very sturdy and doesn't slide, move, or vibrate. Has a set screw to keep whatever you put in it from shaking or wobbling as they normally do. I'd recommend this adaptor to anyone needing a receiver. No problems ordering it or with the shipping.

LOVE THIS COMPACT DESIGN !!!
Had a different swagman bike rack for 2 bikes, but the spare tire would not "totally" clear with the rack AND the spare on the bumper of my travel trailer. I shopped around and found this adaptor and bought an Allen brand 3-bike rack for our bikes. Works great with the new rack, is built very stout and all it takes is 2 bolts to unhook the bike rack from this adaptor when the trailer goes back to storage for the winter. LOVE IT !!!

Stronger than the bumper it was bolted to!
Works great. Just make sure your bumper can handle the extra weight. Mine began to torque after putting a bike rack on it. I’m sure it would have held the bike rack secure as the bumper bounced down the highway. Good thing I caught it in time. ALWAYs do a quick walk around inspection of your rig when you refuel!

Great price - great product. First bumper adapter i haven't had break after a year of carrying 3 bikes on our trailer..
Love this product. No issues. Unlike the versions that use two large U-bolts, instead of a bottom and top plate. I've had two U-bolts break - so, never again.. I'll install one of these on any RV i own, from now on..

Exactly As Expected.
I bought this to mount on the rear bumper of a camper in order to mount a cargo carrier. The mount is well made, very heavy materials and the brackets and mounting hardware that came with it are a perfect match. This mount also has an additional cinch bolt to stop the carrier from excessive movement. For the purpose it is exactly what I needed. One note of caution - if you are mounting this on an RV bumper make sure the bumper is heavy steel and continuous weld type. Even a few bikes on a bike rack can put a lot of strain on the rear bumper going down the road, bumps, etc. If in doubt, check with an RV dealer. For my purpose on an older camper with a heavy steel rear bumper this is the perfect match.

Good Quality and Well Made
I've given this bumper adapter five stars even though I have yet to install it on the rear bumper of my travel trailer. The reason for the five stars is because of the thickness and apparent quality of the material used and the quality of the welds. I'm confident this will work out just fine for holding my two light weight bicycles on the rear bumper of the trailer.

Works great
This works great for the intended purpose we used it to hook on a bike rack for 4 bikes. The adapter worked perfectly but the bike rack failed! We just about lost our bikes on the freeway in Oklahoma when the bike rack bend badly when going over bad roads (yes that you have to PAY FOR to drive on in Oklahoma) Our bikes were badly damaged to the point that one (costing over $500) was not usable. We are leary to put bikes back on the back of the RV but it was the bike rack not the adapter that failed. Just make sure and pay the extra $ for a good bike rack and don't buy the cheap ones. This adapter is very strong heavy metal and holds completely secure. We have driven 1000's of miles and it is still as solid as can be. Maybe we will use it to hold our clothesline now instead of bikes. Anyone know of a GOOD bike rack to buy???
